Dookie Diaries: Russian Edition

I just finished She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. Pros: The casting of Tatiana as Jen. she is likable and quirky but good when serious as well. Most of the others are decent. Humor and fourth wall breaking. Matt/Wong/Hulk parts were among the best even if they were somewhat limited. Misc: The special effects are just ok. It felt so random to see "Larry" from Perfect Strangers as Jen's dad. Cons: Lack of extended action scenes. For a character who is so strong, I would have liked to see more action scenes and ones where the outcome is not so easily anticipated. Limited tension or stakes. With this show, it seems that every time a conflict arises, it gets resolved easily with minimal time or effort. She gets fired from her job. Next episode, she gets a new one. She is sued by Titania. By next ep, it is resolved in Jen's favor. Blonsky is disappearing from the cell. She finds it is due to Wong. He readily helps her by testifying without any pulling. Ep 8 seems like it will change this, but they literally pull a deus ex machina and resolve everything near perfectly without any significant fallout. She never gets any resolution with Josh despite it being shown to the viewers that he was working to steal her blood and bug her phone. The 25-30 min runtime needs to be expanded or more episodes should have been made. The last episode clearly shows they didnt have enough time to resolve everything so they had to resort to the "Kevin" bit. Hulk and son thing does not deserve to be just shoe horned in 5 seconds in the last episode. Overall: 7/10 Tatiana's charm and some of the side characters make it light breezy fun, but sometimes it can be too "fluffy". Get better villains/action and have more drama in there.

I mostly get money/gift card for xmas, but this time my mom saw tmnt on amazon and remembered i like the franchise so she got it. My dad saw TLOU 2 was only $10 there so he told her to get it lol. In the 2010's , my older cousin's children were in their teens and I got them a x360 game (usually Greatest Hits or BF sale stuff) everytime for Christmas. In the 90's- 2006, I got my cousin who lives here in Tampa PS2 games like TTT1, GOW 1, DMC1, In the last 2 years, the people on the lists are usually either small kids or older adults, so there is less game buying in general.

Did anyone get any video games for Xmas? I got TMNT Shredder's Revenge and Last of US 2 on PS4. Both are physical versions. Surprisingly, the turtles game came with a Pizza Hut personal pan coupon like the NES port of the Arcade game

What were your favorite movies of this year? I'm going to cheat and have a lot of ties. 5-6 years after ALF ended on NBC, there was a tv movie that concluded the series that aired on ABC in the mid '90s. It was about him in an Area 51 secure facility and two military officers try to help him escape after a scientist wants to dissect him. It didn't have the Tanner family though. EDIT: Here it is.

Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special was pretty good. I liked the animated segments with Yondu at the beginning and end. The Kevin Bacon plotline was funny as was the opening song. I rofled at the Gobots/Cykill gag. I was struck that they revealed that Mantis and Peter are siblings. It was a nice moment and one that I thought would be saved for GOTG 3. I'm surprised that James Gunn wrote and directed it. But it made it so much better. 8/10

MK Fatality Thoughts: MK4 (1997) IMO, MK4 fatalities improved somewhat. I'd say 4 and MK5 are both "solid". With the move to polygons, many of them were redos of klassic ones but in 3d. I did like how the life bars lifted out out of the way when the move is performed. My fav- Quan Chi Leg rip I consider this "darkly comic" Runner up. A proper "animality" for the appropriate kharacter. I feel this is an underrated finisher. Im not sure which is the "worst" fatality in MK4. I guess I'll put Tanya's triple neck breaker. No blood, and the enemy is essentially dead after the first action , so the other breaks are mostly pointless.
