I really don't think we need to worry about a reboot just yet, she notes that she needs to stop things at the root and notes that even when focusing on Bison (alpha era) that was already too late. So this might get be a wonky tale that focuses on Rose's past even earlier than what we know. I don't know how this will work, but I'm not worried just yet.

The way I saw it, she sent out Menat to talk to Ed pre ASF, but fast forward to G's arrival, Rose is getting curious and concerned about who G is, she sends Menat and she gets walloped. G's power & influence continues to grow, and as she says to Oro, it's overwhelming and can't be ignored, and especially after meeting G she realizes that, Bison, Shadaloo, and it's creations were not the big threat, but rather G was. So Falke and Ed are small fry because G is truly what's the end of all things. Also, can I just say, I'm glad that with all the weird "secrecy" that was going around Rose for most of SFV, Rose wasn't half-dead in Astral form or something. I dunno if plans changed with season V, but it was really weird how the obviously had Rose there in silhouette but hid her frequently. I dunno.

@Lord_Vega Welcome aboard dude! Just in time for this whopper! I do hope they avoid the MK9 or a series reboot at all costs, but do something interesting and clever. I noticed something. I've been working on a vid about the future of SF, but this intersected nicely. So in the plot guide for Alpha one it notes: "Her age is unknown, but she is someone Chun-Li would consider middle aged.” Now, with Rose potentially sending back her consciousness Days of Future Past style, do we know how far back that's going? Alpha seems like it, but what if it's further? She wants to stop the seed from ever sprouting. Battle costumes aren't canon, but...Dan's got me thinking: "“This here is Rose as a war-hardened veteran! She looks like a real badass, right?! But what’s with the messed-up scarf? It’s all frayed at the end. Doesn’t she earn a fortune on fortune-telling? She should get a new one.”" Interesting that the default colours have her hair brown, her armored like an Assassin's Creed character, a time-worn scarf and being described as war-hardned. Could I be reading too much into this, or is this a glimpse of Rose leading the resistance in fashionable threads? Also, I'm wondering about G. For a while I've thought, he's totally human, but recently, with the level of his power, what if he's human, possessed or wielding the power of a cosmic force? I just hope he's not an alien or a god. Interesting times indeed. Man, I still can't believe this season wasn't even supposed to happen, I'm so glad it did. Dang, Oro's story looks like it could be important now too.

Holy crap, I rushed through Rose's story mode and I'm hyped and shook for the future of SF. -Title of Rose's storymode: back to Alpha -Select Rose for Story mode: "At the risk of my life!" -Rose has to tend to a matter only she can handle after training with Menat -Bison dead, but Rose tells Oro there's a "new power" she senses. Oro can't sense evil or good, but it's connected to nature. -Rose and G fight, akin to his fight with Gill, G loses. Rose begins talking with G and he somewhat, disturbingly drops his act. He is the end of all things. Bison was one part of the chaos coming and with G, his future will destroy the world and possibly the universe. Rose knows what G is and it's bad. While cryptic, this is bad, Rose pretty much is spelling that this is doom and gloom and cannot be prevented, but now, Rose is wondering if possible to pull a Days of Future Past and send her consciousness back to her former self. -Her final line is a call back to the title of her story. "back to Zero" -Could this be a hint for the next SF? Looks like it. Whatever G is, his power appears new and my theory of him secretly being a bad guy looks to be true, but also, yes, he appeared after Bison's death. This definitely is gonna need another replay from me, I'm adding this to me video stat!

Heh, we could still have that, afterall, Lady Dimitrescu doesn't seem to be the big boss. That mother something or another, that she calls on the phone could be the big beautiful goo abomination that we're all waiting for. Also, Ashford had multiple forms as Hawkingbird showed, Lady D could change throughout the game.

She's probably going to have an attractive monster form like Alexia Ashford or something lol. Either way, like Born Winner said, you just can't stop the thirst on some people hah

Yeah, I dig Ryu looking like this, I miss his old hair style, the SF4 one doesn't work as well for me. I hope it reverts to this/classic in SF6.

I just want the answer already. We haven't had any hints or made it a fun guessing game, so it's just been hanging over us and I'm nervous. I just hope the theorizing that it'll be covered in the summer update is true.

Agreed on SF not needing it. I'm of the mind that we have several fan favs not in the game, we've had some interesting new faces teased, and there's also the secret, need-to-know-behind the scenes info the devs have on where things are going, so new characters can be waiting in the wings to be made. With all of that, why would I be happy with a guest character? This is the miracle season that wasn't suppose to happen, so why waste it? Give me Tom and make him unique and awesome and set up a new angle to the rivalry with the Illuminati, go super obscure and give me Black Widow from Slammasters and have a slight, modern, Rhea Ripley inspired look for when she's unmasked instead of the jazzercise look she had in her ending. Gimmie poor ol' Necro who was fun to use and has a compelling story, hell, gimmie a revamped Viper, have her bring some interesting story perspective and new moves that could win new folks over. Just don't give me Mega Man, Dimitri, Sol Bad Guy, Ayane, or whatever. Do I want another CvS? Absolutely! Do I want more Darkstalkers? You bet your cryptozoological ectoplasm that I do! Do I want SF to become the latest crossover dumping ground? No. I don't want to open the door to gimmick guest characters showing up for all the sequels now. The Capcom steams already have random musicians making clothing products for SF. I don't want a musician Superfan to get a cameo like in MK's case with the Belgian Rapper getting a Sub Zero skin. So, nah, I don't want any of that.

It's on now, they started off with Oro (wondering if Rose is gonna be ready to drop then), one of his alts is a Hawaiian shirt and shorts lol. edit: Rose has her fancy dress alt and will be released on April 19th Vega gets his trench coat alt, Juri gets a naughty Nurse Alt, and Seth gets the vest and fancy clothes alt from the SF4 cutscenes They showed some of Akira in action and ended with a shot of her summoning Daigo.

Oh yeah, so doesn't the CPT have something going on on the 17th? If they do, I hope that means Rose comes out earlier. (I'm hoping that against hope, she's ready for release today).

Welcome back to the forums dude, this was some seriously nice info! The alpha 3 stuff in particular was interesting to me, as a kid, I always was confused and frustrated with Charlie's fate and then Alpha 3 has him actually win...until Guile's ending kills him again hah. I never recovered and SF5 only made things worse for me. This was a good post dude, I admit I haven't given this as much thought, but dang, yeah, I'd love some individual reactions, good idea! It would really add more personality to the characters and reflect their varying connections to the other parts of the cast! I'm slowpoke mode here, but I'm digging Necrodrop 2, liking the extra effort they put into the story for this one. On Twitter I heard some mention about Q masks being hidden in this, so I gotta see if that's true.

Does anyone know if LordVega's made the move over here? I have a terrible memory.
