  1. My contribution to VGM Fridays this week From a channle that does mostly Warhammer 40k Stuff, here their remix of the SwSh Gym battle music
  2. True, but the problem with Emulation is you need a powerful CPU for actual accurate emulation. The most accurate SNES Emulator BSNES (now called Higan) actually taxes a PC's CPU quite heavily and requires a 3.7ghz processor (which is required to accurately run SNES games with any add-on chips). Sure you can get Zsnes as it can run on a potato, but Zsnes is an out dated speedhack emulator that runs with such bad accuracy that it makes games unbearable to play. For most people their Smart phones or a Raspberry Pi is "Good Enough", but to those who played on real hardware enough or grew up on theses devices notice the sounds are off, graphical glitches, that there shimmering and screen tearing, and there noticeable amounts of lag. You also have to look at High level and Low Level Emulation, at the high level you are just tricking the game to run, you are only simulating the higher end functions of that system you trying to emulate. Its why I felt the n64 emulation gone nowhere in the last 21 years. Yeah they got compatibility up, but this requires a host of game specific plug-ins or per game patches to make the game run "correctly". Even then you got games like Pilotwings 64 and certain levels in Mario kart 64 with graphical glitches (in Mario Kart's case the jumbo-tron screen in one of the courses will not work). The Sega Saturn Emulators I think is good enough to run a okay performance of Radiant Silvergun, but does not run that many games. Also comparing various emulators to Neo Geo, as I too own a MVS, Mame does a good enough approach which already sours my view of it, Neo Rage X does a better job than Mame, but it has a lot to left desired, so you are stuck with RAINE or FB Alpha both are decent but does not compare to actual hardware. Oh and what ever they used for recent PC ports of Neo Geo games are awful, but the upside is that the GOG/Steam ports are a good legal source of the game roms.
  3. Here, now Happy Birthday or some shit
  4. Rise my brothers, the liberators are here Dr Lisa Su, brings us the goods. Zen 3 hits Nov 5. And with 4th gen SSDs here, we don't need a Pee Esss Phivie or a Ewks bawks Ceries Ewks
  5. Here Pics of a recent DMG Game Boy Mod. Pics spoiled for size Whats not in picture, I replaced the power regulator board as well.
  6. Well here is an update on the PS1 core https://www.patreon.com/posts/42530170 Also I know jotego working on CPS 1.5 and CPS 2 cores.
  7. So how many of you people messed with FPGA consoles yet. In my opinion, the MiSTer with it's Neo Geo, CPS1, and various console cores make this an almost no brainer. Only thing that is currently missing is netplay, but the MiSTer cores been running better than MAME or even Final Burn Alpha does, the FPGA been doing some near perfect simulation of the original hardware. There some other FPGA systems/consoles too like the Sidi, the MIST, the Analogue Consoles, the AVS, ect.
  8. Happy B day Tubbs, And you have the distict honor of having the first B day thread on Mega Shock.
  9. Oh yeah the PS3 version early on has this weird bug with the autosave, the longer you play the bigger the save file got which dragged everything down. And it was only the PS3 version too. Something about someone forgetting a single clear cache function because that programming call is completely different in the PS3 compared to the same call in Xbox/windows. And due to how massive the game is the issue didn't pop up in play tests.
  10. So after reading this, https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/journalist-says-xbox-series-x-can-get-hot-like-a-fireplace/amp/ And going back though and checking their sources out, I came to two conclusions. 1. So many "facts" are misrepresented or flat out taken out of context. 2. Most game journalists are casuals who never gamed on a modern gaming PC and don't understand basic highschool physics. Yes there suposed to be heat blowing out, that's how cooling works. You can't "Create" cold, only move heat from one place to another. And 2 (and those who knows me know I hate Xbox). The Series X isn't going to get so hot as to burn your hand, if it did you would see plastic melting.
  11. Save space and money, that screw stud might be only 50 cents each, but multiply by all the consoles being made will adds up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Also cuts like that brings the price of the console down.
  12. Only time I have Skyrim crash in me is when I try a new combination of mods. For the most part Skyrim is more stable than half the new games out there now. More so than most EA and Ubisoft titles.
  13. I can say the same thing about Eva, The Eva units aren't really robots, hell there only one episode with an actual giant robot. Also here one of the best scenes in Diebuster
  14. Eva isn't what I think is GAINAX best Mecha series, or eve close to it. This is

  17. Preppy is the reason I quit running the Tech Talk Secret Santa before we even started. Shit he pulled made me reevaluate SRK and what exactly I was getting out of it. I am only sticking around there long enough to help the new Secret Santa organizer, and those guys deserve that much. Just no one tell Tripple topper about this place, okay.
  18. They are kinda meh. Burgers aren't bad per say, but it's the same restaurant burger you get elsewhere, and nothing really stands out. So many other places offer the same food for then same or less price for the quality and they got something to set them apart.
