  1. The release date's been pushed around a bit, but my understanding was that filming was either done or on the way to being done. And yes, there's something today. Don't know if it'll be a full blown trailer or just pics released. But that dude is an actor in the movie, and you don't amp people up with a tweet for just pictures. Otherwise, you're right. There's been nothing of substance released except for a logo. And yeah, my hype was already extra low because this is a Video Game movie. I liked Sonic, but when Sonic is the best recent VG movie I can think of, that's just bad.
  2. I want to be hype for the MK movie, but Wonder Woman '84 murdered every bit of hype I had. If you're wondering how that makes sense, one of the screenplay writers on WW84 is also a screenplay writer for the MK movie. He only worked on the screen play for '84 (Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns did the story), but '84 was still so bad I have no hope now. Anyway, I don't think a trailer can resuscitate my excitement. I'm hoping I'm wrong though.
  3. I'll do what I gotta do in a pinch, but cooking takes way too damn long on average for me to just wing it like that. Especially when winging it ends in failure most times.
  4. I do that too, but going that route, you either get something that has your ingredient and a couple others, or your ingredient and some other stuff you don't have. I end up with too much of the latter, thus my earlier question.
  5. This is random, but aside from the Allrecipes.com ingredient option, do any of you know of a good recipe site/aggregator that goes by ingredient? These days with the pandemic, I'm finding myself with a lot of grocery "leftovers" when I buy stuff in general and for a recipe. I'm wondering if there's a site that goes ingredient-first, where you start with an ingredient or two, and get recipes that require that and maybe a thing or two more.
  6. Well, my new year is going great. Turns out the power of attorney paperwork I was lucky enough to get my mom to sign before she went into a no-visitor nursing home is invalid and needs another signature by the notary (don't know how I missed that), IF I can get that. I also, at the moment, don't have a fix on her other finances for a medicaid application to possibly keep her in the nursing home. The roads are snowy now, and taking a 1 hour trip to my hometown (which I'll have to do here and there) is risky. All, in all, it's looking like I'll have to move back in with my mom and TRY to work from home while taking care of her by the end of January. I said it before, and I'll say it again: if you have someone in your life that's old and you'll have to look out for them, get their finances and directives in order well ahead of time. I knew this whole process was going to suck ass, and it hasn't disappointed yet.
  7. WOW. I don't know what you have to do to become a nurse in Jakarta, but if it's anything like over here, she just threw away years of schooling for nothing. I don't get people that do that. Men or women. If your job takes forever to learn and get a license for, why the hell risk it over dumb shit? I say that even as someone who once lost a job he got after 7 months unemployed for nodding off during a couple meetings. Even to ME this shit sounds stupid.
  8. This is most likely fake, but goddamn if it isn't.🤣
  9. Yeah, the extent to which wishes would contradict themselves is among the list of things wrong with the movie. It just boggles me that the same director behind WW1 would produce this. But then again this was written by Patty herself and 2 others. WW1 was written by a group of other people. Maybe Patty should stick to directing.
  10. Seriously. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but that movie was ultra trash. I'm still trying to figure out how that shit got all the way to the big screen.
  11. I'm mad I was even a little hype for WW84. That movie was ass AND sewage.
  12. My random advice to people: if you have someone in your life that's elderly, with failing health, and care of them will be seen as kind of your responsibility, please get your and their affairs in order ASAP. Get power of attorney and a good lock on what their finances are if need be. My mom was in the hospital for a while, and is now in a nursing home. But past a certain period of days, it's going to cost her a hefty per-day copay. I knew nothing of my mom's assets before now, and now I'm trying to get a fix on them for a medicaid application. If I can't get that, we can't afford the nursing home and somebody (read: me) will have to move home to take care of her at the house. But now she's unable to talk thanks to her throat, and is in a nursing home an hour+ away. I have to drive an hour to her home to get some of this information, and it's snowing. All of this could have probably been taken care of a LONG while ago during the summer, but now I'm doing it on the highest difficulty setting. It sucks. Get your affairs in order, people. EDIT: I forgot what day it is. Sorry to be a bummer. Merry Christmas everyone.
  13. Like, for real. I'm a 33-year-old virgin with some probably unhealthy attitudes towards women and dating, and even I'm like "who is this"?
  14. You can make good sirloin (or any steak) at home for at most half the price per weight what they charge you at steak houses. No wait time coming or going to a steak house except for prep. Literally all you have to do is: -Sprinkle a bunch of kosher salt (1 teaspoon per side) and whatever seasonings you want on it -Let it wait for an hour and some change (one hour per inch of thickness; fridge or at room temp) -Wash the seasoning off -Pat it dry -Cook it up in a skillet. This is with thick steaks (1 inch plus) though. I'd recommend a butcher if they don't have them that thick at any stores you go to. It is a bit of an investment, but still below what steakhouses charge. It won't be as good as a high quality steak house, I'll admit. But ever since cooking steaks at home, I've literally only gone to brand new (to me) steak houses to try them out of curiosity. What I make at home is good enough that I'd never go outside of that reason.
  15. 🤣 A woman's dog got into some edibles she put in the trash: https://www.instagram.com/p/CIzN0-Zn2ry/
  16. Yeah, I know, but still. It's hard to appreciate how drastic a shift it is when free porn is everywhere and PH still has a lot of content. But just DAMN. Almost everything I went there for is gone.
  17. GODDAMN: Pornhub got banned from Mastercard, Visa AND Discover. You can only pay for shit through crypto now. In response, PH just deleted (or rather, hid) every unverified video on its site. I went there for unverified, amateur content that wasn't illegal, and it's like a ghost town on that front. I'm talking literal Thanos shit. 2020 stay killing my heroes.
  18. While walking into my apartment complex, I saw something: a dude looking at his computer with the blinds open. He was just looking at spreadsheets or something. This is how I know I'm perverted. The concept of someone looking at a private computer without some secrecy blew my mind. Damn near ALL my online activity has to happen under a cloak of some kind. Me looking at anything with the blinds not closed will bust hell wide open.
  19. Even though I'm a punk myself, I can't comprehend pussies like that. For a while, BO3 was the only COD I could tolerate that had some playerbase. All the rest after that have been either boring or dogshit. Now these clowns have fucked that up. But every past game has hackers. The lack of dev support brings all these fuckers out in droves.
  20. While I'm on this topic, another show people MIGHT want to get into is The Shield. It's about a corrupt anti-gang unit in a fictional LA district called Farmington. I say MIGHT because even as a fan, I didn't like seasons 4 and 6, and a fair bit of stuff has aged poorly within it (it ran from 2002-2008). It's still a great watch though.
  21. Ya'll dudes that ain't seen Breaking Bad or The Wire need to start. The Wire's 5th and 2nd seasons aren't as good as the rest (in fact, 5th is the worst), but they're still great TV.
