Its wild how good this game is compared to how SF5 released, how its doing a bunch of stuff specifically to cater to casuals like people asked for years and...how mad dudes are at a lot of what it does.

Maybe I'm being a pessimistic clown, but already half expecting a backlash with people presuming the new costumes will be 50FM, like the first set. I saw that as a pretty cheap alternative to grinding the cash in WT. Compared to SFV that price is ridiculously low, and I'd be amazed - though wouldn't complain - if any following costumes were that price (esp. given the turtles shite)

So yeah I'm having crazy fun with AKI. I boot up her intermediate trials with matches on just so I can run through the basics to warm up. It's funny as fuck being in Gold with my fundies and seeing people soy rage over this character. Ran into a Honda that kept headbutting into her poison ball. Dude was getting heated and started spamming butt slam. Still won to hahaha! I'm watching Hikarus replays to get a better idea for how to play neutral. Her combos routes are so fucking awesome but you have to be on point with capitalizing off every potential poison burst. Her corner loops are amazing. Also her stand heavy kick is probably one of my favorite buttons in the game. Just feels good to hit. Gonna grind this chick out for the foreseeable future.

Made another video.  Wasn't expecting to be making tech or strategy videos at this juncture in my FGC life but here we are. @Darc_Requiemcan't thank you enough.
 
I'm honestly perplexed that I've spent a bit more time on making a strategy video than a lot of "pros". Still feels weird that with all of the information you need to get better at FGs, the conversations don't happen. Either way, stick to the end and it gets really funny:

Don't think Haggar will ever be in a SF mainline game, no real reason, just a hunch based on everything since Alpha. And while I know that S5 of SFV wasn't planned, people were saying Gill would never make it because of Urien's Halloween costume. I think on balance, avatar costumes are far less significant than other actual usable costumes ingame.

Meanwhile ArcSys and Bandai are moving away from arcades with their franchises. Neither even mentioned doing a arcade port of strive or T8. 
 
SNK stopped arcade releases a long time ago too.

Tried my best to fight off the fake-suit effect
The necklace was supposed to mask a bit the neck suit line, but it move in weird ways without covering much, so ultimately got removed
Gloves solve the hands showing at the wrist the suit line
 
Most tricky part was replicate skin color on the face (no base color match the suit)

The players that offer a challenge are the one's you should be fighting in order to grow as a player.  People that blacklist are just going to get worse at the game but I guess an online title means more than improving for some.  It's like the Master players that go into Battle Hub to beat up on silver players to rack up a 95% win rate.  Weird mentality.

Damn Hong Kong wasn't fucking around at the France offline Premiere. They have 3 of the Top 8 slots. Japan, US, and France got 1 each. EU got the USA treatment. Home turf premiere and the only have one person in the Top 8. More NA players made it to the Top 8 than EU players. If it wasn't weather issues it may have been worse as it kept some of the top foreign competiton from making it.
 
Side note: NuckleDu put on one of the worst beat downs I saw in the entire tournament to get into to Top 8 losers. I'm surprised he wasn't arrested for what he did to Mizuha. It was that bad.
