What other big mecha series are there? Only non-gundam one I’ve seen is IGPX, and that was pretty short. shit I loved that show. Just typing it makes me want to rewatch it.

Any Gundam fans here? I’ve been thinking about watching a new series but I haven’t kept up with the newer stuff. Ive seen 0079, War in the Pocket, 08th MS team, G Gundam, 00, and SEED. Are there any ones out there that have the more serious/grounded tone of 08th and WitP? I like every Gundam ive seen but those are my favorite.

I’m not as familiar with the lore as some of y’all but doesn’t Ryu get buffed in SF3 when he gets Denjin/trains with Oro? He might be temporarily weaker without SnH wake up DP’s, but imo he wouldn’t get totally washed by any of those characters. Training/fighting is like his entire character. Meanwhile Ken and Chun have lives outside of fighting. Of the characters listed the only one I see him losing to is Sagat. That said all these characters a pretty mid tier if I’m not mistaken.

I’m thinking maybe in the future we can have a SF(6) subsection, but maybe avoid the character specific subsections. They’re nice, but at least for SFV the ones on SRK were all dead like a year after release. We can safely assume Megashock is gonna see less traffic, at least until we “build our brand”. I say we either build a new wiki, or if that is too complicated maybe have one thread with a bunch of links to character specific info (hosted on something like Google Docs/Sheets). Naturally we are also gonna need people to annotate the info on whatever medium we go with. Again, since we are starting small we should probably have some kind of standardized format to make things easier. Would probably see a lot more active hands in the project if people can help by filling in a single cell with a number instead of needing 40+ different people to build custom guides for every little thing. edit: also I’ll say it, if we want to shill this place we are gonna need bodies repping us at tournaments or in ranked. Enough people seeing “Megashock forums” or something will create curiosity.
