On the topic of Chun I saw someone add bangs to her current look and honestly it looked really good. I'm shocked they just popped out with a demo build already. Hopefully by the time we get a beta they've added a couple more characters to the build. I haven't been able to watch too much footage, but it seems maybe shorter combos in this game?

Man I'm pretty optimistic about the game so far just seeing how much effort they're putting in. If the gameplay can match it this could be really good. I wonder how they're taking all the Ken memes and speculation. I mean everybody has pretty much ran with the divorced Ken memes/theories. Games gonna launch and it be something simple as hell like Ken lost a fight and is sad about it or something lol.

Capcom devs a bunch of cowards, they should go all the way with this Ken thing. Go full trailer park make him a little chubby, give him a beer drinking install super so you can see the real "violent ken".

I know it's too early to pick but so far I'd probably play deejay or Jamie. Hopefully get a beta at some point this year and they have some time between now and whenever in 2023 to polish the game up. Kind of sad netcode hasn't been mentioned, good netcode and cross play would be huge.

I'm not gonna lie I thought she had a really good chance of getting in on the base roster for 6. But for sure she'll be dlc. Bonita bae got way too many costumes she could sell. I'm a little surprised that they went with so many sf2 characters, I thought for sure they'd sprinkle some of the alpha or sf3 characters that were missing from 5. But it'll probably be dlc of course. Based off what's came so far I know Dudley would be sick

Yeah I'm keeping in mind you're losing half your normals in that control scheme and possibly more if there's input normals. So they should lose out on certain strings but we'll see. Somebody screenshotted the modern controls page and people on Twitter started commenting thinking that was the games only setting 🤣

I'm willing to bet there'll be something tied to the daigo parry in this game. Maybe something minor like a trophy but mark my words it'll be in there

I'm curious as to how strong the "modern" control scheme will be. Autocombos are nothing new I just don't them to be getting max damage combos . I don't want 1f links but I also don't want it to turn into something boring either. Hitting harder to execute stuff is hype

I can't believe we got to see actual gameplay. I'm interested to see more, good on them for the open world thing hopefully it brings in the casuals. I need to know the whole roster.

Yeah for me it's mainly consistency too. I've played on 3 bar connections that feel pretty decent and I've had 5 bars that are just trash. For the most part sfv is tolerable but goddamn when it's bad it's awful. Strive while not perfect kind of ruined playing sfv online for me. It's kind of sad that all these years later one of the main discussions for this game is it's netcode lol.

Maybe it's just my boomer nostalgia talking but I think it would be dope if EVO would give one or two older games main stage. I know they were talking about doing the mvc2 exhibition last year or the year before, prior to Corona and the Mr. Wizard stuff.

Speaking of DNF I wish I had gotten in on the beta. It looked fun as fuck.

That's one thing I did notice is there was alot more sitting in training mode waiting on a match to pop up. It sucks but the game has been out so long and there's also a shit ton of other stuff to play right now. I considered double dipping on strive but I thought I had heard about some extra input lag on PS5 can't remember. And that seems to be the norm for fighting games lately. I did think about picking an obscure character and just getting by on unfamiliarity but that feels scummy but fuck it the netcode and game in general can be scummy as fuck already🤣.

Yeah not too much we can take from that trailer. Except for the fact that that was Chris redfield not ryu, mvc4 confirmed in development. I was really hoping to see even just a tiny glimpse of gameplay so we could kind of get a feel for the game.
