  1. I paid attention to some Ryu footage. Everything matched up perfectly. Jamie has Rekkas (and a bunch of moves, Dante-like movelist.) Ryu and Chun got a bunch of new moves. His HP Fireball is really fast. Honestly, they seem to be allowing characters to be strong and keeping everything together with the universal mechanics (not just Drive). If this sounds similar, it's because ArcSys is well known for doing that. I don't have anything on hand, but there's some good footage around. Game looks as legit as it gets.
  2. Speaking of which, it's interesting that you can pick exactly when you want to go for the Stun now. Not having to worry about Stun forcing a "reset" is already a very nice deal, but there's more. Burnout is hella long and you can run some offense while they're all but defenseless then cash in that Stun with a meaty focus attack. Supers are shown to eat some of the opponent's Drive on hit, I wonder if you can use them to force them into Burnout.
  3. Honestly, I hope both Balrog and Dudley make it. Dudley and Makoto not making it to SFV stuck out like a horrendous sore thumb.
  4. This dude is Drunk Dante wtf? Him popping Lv. 2 Super at round start on the 3rd must be the scariest thing in the game. We've seen some footage of it, seems *very* quick for an install character. Roughly a little slower than say, a Juri store, but it's way quicker than the likes of G. You can definitely sneak a sip every once in a while. Not needing to give up Oki for it is absolutely not happening though. Exactly. ArcSys gets away with a ridiculous amount of things that would be outright bullshit in other games because of how they really focus on robust universal mechanics. SF6 got something similar going on, so it should be a very interesting game.
  5. Literally what happened on that Max tweet. Filler into EX Legs, SA2, 2 stomps then Air Kikosho. Pretty stylish, I like that.
  6. My brother in anime, at some point you gotta admit it... You're being one hell of a Tsundere. 🤣
  7. Spy x Family is amazing, I don't even remember the last time I laughed so much watching anything. 🤣 I had to switch straight to the manga, this one got me completely hooked.
  8. Then why did you post them? Lay off the Kunzite crack rocks and stop being an ass for no reason. Sakura stans in S H A M B L E S rn.
  9. If they give him Q's rushing super as a Lv. 1, Q can get tossed straight into the bushes lmao. That character is one cutscene away from losing his only selling point.
  10. My fellow citizen of the Earth, why would you wish for such a thing? 🤣 Real talk tho, I'd like to see G without that unGa VT-powered bs.
  11. Watching some footage posted earlier here. Stage themes are confirmed. Commentary settings is on the menu, looks like you can turn them off. Don't forget the official site said they'll add more commentators down the road, but honestly, with how much the lines get triggered? No one could pull it off. As far as I can tell, there are no proximity normals, same deal as SFV. Good. If that's the case, Ryu's axe kick is his normal St. HK and the new f.HK is his old St. HK. Speaking of buttons, all of his hitboxes look amazing. Cr. MK and Sweep hit at max range. I was really worried about that after SFV. No light > medium or medium > heavy links initially had me concerned, but there's definitely enough to get things going here. Ryu had some nice blockstrings. This is definitely the best footage I've seen posted here. Players are fairly decent and not Lv. 4 CPUs, so it got some pretty hype matches. This game is definitely looking amazing right now. Edit: Holy crap, Ryu's fireballs move FAST.
  12. A couple of interesting things. Modern Control Ryu loses Hashogeki. It doesn't even show up in the movelist. Shinku Hadoken has invincibility. Command normals still exist for Modern. Ryu has a new command normal, 6HK. It's a high reverse roundhouse kick, but the flavor text says it's good to counter sweeps? 🤔 Both of his target combos look sick af. The heavy one is pretty much the same as SFV's HP~HK. Classic stuff, hopefully sp. cancelable. New one using mediums. I like that. Apparently it's not horribly minus if you don't do the 3rd hit. That's the Denjin Shin Shoryuken we saw in the trailer. Pretty nice tbh. I guess all Lv. 3's will be like that. That is straight up amazing tbh.
  13. He already has the "perfect" soundbite in V. Also, in both situations, it either interacted with his old VS1 or VT1/SA2. Honestly? Looks like his Heavy Boom with some spice on it. Modern already has a ton of drawbacks, I really wouldn't worry about it, but then again, I did play Blazblue, so I've seen first-hand the Stylish Mode they're trying to copy. Daigo ain't pulling up to CPT with Modern Guile, don't worry. 🤣
  14. Ayo, someone pick up that phone, I CALLED IT!!! @Psychoblue Now if you don't mind, I'mma pick up 3DS SF4 and start practicing my walk forward booms. 🤣
  15. Chun's theme sounds like it has a low-health section... 🤔
  16. SFV-style DPs will probably be the standard from now on. It just makes sense as a bigger system tbh. As for super meter... yeah, just for supers. That's actually a really good idea imo. I really appreciate when the stylish, big damage attacks actually get some use.
  17. And this was one of the biggest issues people had with 5. Good to see they actually listened.
