Wow this is really great! I'll be picking this up when it releases! Welcome to the forums -- I hope to see lots of your work and projects here.

When I was hardcore into SF (sf4 days, 8 hours a day+), I preferred player matches. The key to getting better was simple: 1) Find people better than you 2) Play them over and over until they leave 3) Find someone else better than you and start over again Points and ranks were meaningless, and the fact that ranked matches were short meant you could rely on gimmicks. Lose a match? No problem. Just use the same strats on the next sucker and hope THEY fall for them. When you were in a long set, all your gimmicks stopped working almost immediately, and the only thing to do was simply get better. This was the easiest way to organically improve my game. This method worked when playing people in person, in the arcades, and online. All you needed to do was find someone way better than you and keep grinding. I learned how to play SFIII this way too. Having someone near your skill level might be more enjoyable, but I found struggling against an impossibly good opponent was a stronger strategy. Getting good enough to block one high-level player's mixup ONCE was way more valuable than blocking a scrub's mixups hundreds of times. Good things coming in a few days. ;) In other news I'll be taking art commissions soon. Post some artwork later this week.

I was on a huge Doom kick for a while last year. Got the latest version of Brutal Doom and played through all the old DOS games. Shotgun is the only gun you need. So satisfying.

GG and Tekken mostly atm. Getting more into Garou and KOF 2002/98UM right now too.

We actually have 108 members at the moment -- some of them joining as recently as yesterday! However, just like at old SRK the majority of members are lurkers/don't visit that often. That's ok though -- we'll be chilling here like usual and lots of us play games that aren't SFV. (I myself don't play SFV) Hit us up if you ever want some games!

KOF was on Saturn, PS1, and Neo Geo CD. In America everyone was into SF so tbh it doesn't matter what consoles they were on. Americans will never care about soccer and they will never care about KOF. Sad but true.

Even real arcade machines were much cheaper. The whole MVS system was incredibly friendly towards arcade operators.

It's a shame I never got a chance to check out the Iron Man Experience at Disneyland HK when I was still living there. Maybe I'll take a trip back once this new area opens.

At this point the number of real Darkstalkers fans is so small it doesn't even matter. I bet there are tons of people who have only ever used Morrigan in UMvC3.

Peeps not using a computer and playing the PC version, which can play the game in any damn resolution and still looks good. MW1 remaster wasn't that amazing tbh, even though they used new assets. It's just like the Burnout Paradise re-release...only relevant if you don't own the PC version. Unless it's a complete rebuild, most HD 'remasters' are only good for console users since a lot of them just bump the resolution and call it a day.

It's ok. White chocolate is still delicious.
