I finally started up Sonic Superstars. I got new stages and gimmicks to learn. I can tell which tracks Tee made and which ones Jun did. From that I've heard of Jun's stuff thus far, it isn't even bad. It pales in comparison to many of his other tracks from previous games but the music here isn't bad by any means. When I hopped into a Special Stage to nab a Chaos Emerald, I was worried I was gonna have to run on a half pipe. Kudos to Sonic Team for giving us something new. Now I just gotta get used to it. The Special Stages where you go for Medals do make me dizzy though and give me some PTSD from Sonic 1 Special Stages.

A good chunk of my Switch import games I got off Amazon. Okami, Phoenix Wright Trilogy and FINAL FANTASY X/X2 HD Collection.

I stumbled across Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead on Netlfix a few nights ago. Gave it a watch and now I'm hooked. Eventually, I'm gonna get the manga. I resumed reading Sakamoto Days. On volume 4. These guys from the Order are really good.

I haven't heard any of the new remixes for Sonic Frontiers but everyone says they are total bangers. Speaking of music, the arranged soundtrack for Super Mario RPG is SO GOOD. Did Yoko Shimomura do the soundtrack again or supervise the arrangements? Either way, I love it. I'm not sure my ears are ready to hear Battle with Culex. When I played Super Mario RPG in 1996, that was actually my first time ever hearing that battle them and as much as I love the FINAL FANTASY IV version, the Super Mario RPG version styles all over it for free. I'm getting jazzed just imagining what it sounds like in the remake.

I love talking to the people in Mushroom Kingdom and they are like "Peach was kidnapped AGAIN?" Like, even by 1996, that ish was old. ---- Team Handshake won the Splatfest?! For REAL? Those germ spreading, non hand washing MFs won? Well, at least there was no Big Man Sweep. But poor Frye. Girl has been carrying Ls for over a year now. She gonna be the villain in Side Order. BET.

Amazon is currently having some nice sales. I got Sonic Superstars for $35 today. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is $15.

I've had similar issues. I find it's easier for me to consistently time attacks with Mario's hammer and it is with his fists. That said, I freaking love this remake.

Can Mario and company dancing at the level up screen in Super Mario RPG be a GIF like immediately?

Shatterhand and Power Blade were some dope NES games and this just drips of inspiration from them.

I tried out the demo for Spirittea and really enjoyed it, despite never touching Stardew Valley or seeing Spirited Away (even though I own the later on Blu-ray). The music in Spirittea is also very relaxing and the OST is on Spotify for anyone interested in some nice chill music.

You ever play a co-op game and wonder how could you have possibly lost? Splatoon 3's replay mode is great because it lays bare the stupidity of your teammates. Real talk, some of these matches paired me up with three Patrick Stars. I got dumb MFs trying to take out the other team with long range weapons UP CLOSE. The whole dang point of a long range weapon is the advantage it has over mid and short range weapons. So why the EFF would you give the other team free freaking eats by trying to splat them up close, when they have superior movement on you? Then, you got the scrubs that ain't even using their sub weapons! The one time one of my teammates tries their sub weapon in the first game, they are staring at the floor, a fact the enemy roller is super quick to capitalize on. And then you got peeps spamming "This way!" and every time I look up, there are weapons with X's over them. Why would I want to follow you and go "This way!" when you KEEP. GETTING. KILLED?!! Nah, man.

Sitting on Clouds has the OST for Star Ocean The Second Story R. I've heard some of the Preview soundtrack via Spotify, It is VERY good. The PS1 OST is top tier stuff and this new OST sounds like that but with far more omph in it.

My oldest niece was over last night and she was trying out the final wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tracks. Clearly, she is on another level because she was like on TWO BLUE SHELLS in two separate races. She used the Mushroom at just the right time, something I seldom do. And she doesn't even play MK8D on the regular!

Apparently Super Mario RPG has been leaked and some folks are already playing the game. So, how long until the Nintendo Ninjas find the leakers?

I went online in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and got DESTROYED. Any lead I had was short lived. I really wish I could KO other racers like in F-ZERO 99.

Team Hug has the best graphical icon, but I'm Team Fist Bump hands down. After the 'Rona pandemic, I don't feel comfortable shaking hands. Plus you got all these MFs not washing their hands after using the bathroom. Nah, son. We either bump fist or we ain't got no greeting.

VGM Friday, fools! ZUNTATA Stuff Regular Stuff

F-ZERO 99 did indeed screw with me when I went back to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. I'm trying to accelerate with B. And the fact that I can't kill other racers SUUUUUUCKS. SNES Bowser's Castle 3 got a major glow up. I didn't keep a close eye on the tracks before they dropped so I wasn't aware of each one. SNES Bowser's Castle 3 was a nice surprise. Pity Wii Rainbow Road was included. I HATED that track in Mario Kart Wii. I find it slightly less irritating in MK8D.

I beat Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is a very strong contender for my GOTY. The animations, the level design, the music and sound design; SMBW fires on all cylinders. Even the final boss was creative. Now I'm going back to 100% the game and do the Special World. You know how Champion's Road in 3D World was pain and suffering the video game? I hear Wonder has some final level that is MUCH worse. My body is not ready.

Hot Spells, the banned Darkwing Duck episode is not on Disney+. Satan actually appeared in two episodes prior to that one. There a ton of funny lines in DWD but one of my particular favorites is in "Disguise the Limit," DW is framed and a reward is offered for his capture. A bunch of citizens pull up on DW packing heat. DW: I knew I should have voted for gun control.

Had this been me, I would have choked 5 seconds in.

Maaaaaan, me and my teammates were getting COOKED in Splatoon 3 Turf War last night. This player named strawberry was using the Tenta Brella and murdering us like a mob boss. In the base and everything. stawberry had 10 kills and 0 deaths and was probably gassing themselves up like Vegeta fighting semi-perfect Cell. We only had about 17% map coverage when that match was over. My sodium levels were so rising after that match. So much so that I ditched the Tri-Stinger and broke out the Rapid Blaster and Object Shredder just to deal with strawberry and that Tenta Brella. Homie was probably thinking it was gonna be free eats after that last match. I made sure they couldn't have that brella out for cover and took 'em out whenever I had the chance. Every time I splatted strawberry... Yeah, that ish was personal. We won, Bee T Dubs.
