Took me a while, but I finally made it to S- rank in F-ZERO 99. The ranking system in this game is super good. If you can get a good finishing place but if you don't beat any of your rivals, you get docked mass points, so you're highly encouraged to beat at least one of your rivals. But unlike the Splatoon series, you rank doesn't drop if you lose. Once you rank up, you stay there but if you aren't beating your rivals, don't expect to make any kind of progress. I still see the occasional butthurt F-ZERO video from fans on YouTube, but by and large, the reception for F-ZERO 99 has been pretty dang positive. I really hope it gets a physical release as Tetris 99 did. As for new modes, I would LOVE to see Death Race in this game. The goal to kill 98 other plays or be the last player alive would be mad fun. Also, I love it when players realize what kinda track Death Wind I and II are. Streamer: Why is it called Death Wind? Me:

As insane as it is, yes, MFs are, sadly, so hung on on this stuff. People like that are the reasons security is at cons and what not.

I started the Wave 3 DLC a few nights ago, but haven't gotten too far. I love that Amy's tarot cards are a part of her attacks. Girl also has mad air time. Also, her movement theme is so good. I heard that some peeps were mad that Wave 3 DLC is no cakewalk. Like, what do these people want? They griped when it was easy, now they moan when it becomes a challenge.

Gimmick Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime and Lionblade looks cool, IMO. The Leo Prime look is strong with this one.

MFs are on straight DEMON time in F-ZERO 99. I can count the seconds I have been in first on 1 hand. The slightest screw up will put you back in the swarm of racers. I have managed to get 2nd only once thus far and yeah, getting into the top 10 is no easy feat. I think the gamers that are hyper competitive have shown up in droves to play F-ZERO 99 and this ish is like an all you can eat buffet. I've been in lobbies with some players that already got 99 wins. If I've learned anything from playing F-ZERO 99 is that you HAVE to be cutthroat. I know I joke about being a super villain when I play this game but really, you pretty much do. Be ready to commit devious and nefarious acts whenever you get out there on the track. Spin them out of the pit areas, knock them around on those difficult turns and if you see a MF smoking and the finish line is coming up, DELETE THEM FROM THE GAME!

I started binging Transformers Animated. Been about a year since I've seen the series. I cannot believe there was a point in the late 2000s where I was not down with the designs. I like to think I've done a considerable amount of mental growing since then because I love the character designs of TFA now. Prowl in TFA is my favorite incarnation of the character. Bumblebee in TFA is the kid of the group without being too annoying.

Amazon is taking pre-orders for a few Legacy United figures. Windblade Animated Optimus Prime Animated Bumblebee Energon Megatron I never picked up Cyberverse Windblade and I kinda kick myself for it. She has such a cool design. Def getting her this time around. I put Megs, Bee and Optimus on pre-order.

Same. The lobbies for these courses don't fill up as fast as the F-ZERO 99 regular lobbies. Peeps always wanna do the easiest courses. Big Blue and Mute City I always get picked over Sand Ocean and Death Wind I. What these players don't realize is that by always picking the "safe" tracks, they are doing themselves a diservice because they will be unprepared for the harder tracks when they drop. Death Wind I is NOTHING compared to Death Wind II. The curves on Sand Ocean are Light Work compared to the tracks that are yet to come. ---- I stole third place from some player yesterday by KOing them. Like, they could PEE on that finish line, that's how close they were to catching that dub. But the only thing they caught was the smoke. And I do mean smoke because those suckers pour it OUT when they blow up. Super villain life is sounding pretty good right now. I think I'll find a nice cap, work on my evil laughter and find a get to pet, Dr. Claw style.

I don't know if I'm ready for the new batch of Sonic Frontiers music that will be added to the wave 3 update. Sonic Frontier's base music was so good it should be in it's own tier of music. In My Hero Academia there's a line where Bakugo says the class needs to murder the students with music. That is the kinda energy Ohtani and the gang clearly approached Frontiers' music with and it paid off.

I'm curious as to what the file size of FFVII REBIRTH is gonna be. Like, are peeps gonna have to clear space to play that sucker?

I started to watch the anime of One Piece. Then I realized how many episodes that actually is.

I found out you can do little mini boosts when you're dangerously low on energy in F-ZERO 99. And why do so many of my teammates NOT SPIN during team battle?! If I wanted to carry dead weight, I would fire up Splatoon 3!!!

I finally got around to watching Across the Spider-Verse last week. Movie was freaking awesome. Regarding the ending...

I guess F-ZERO 99 was my favorite thing from last week's Direct because I've been playing that game like crazy and was legit hyped for the reveal. I was hoping for a Donkey Kong '94 remake but Mario vs. Donkey Kong remake works for me. Princess Peach: Showtime also looks pretty dang interesting. Even my dad is hyped for that game.

I finally saw TMNT Mutant Mayhem. Movie was good fun. I'm sure people are gonna take issues with what the film did with some of the characters but I wanna see where they go with them. Donnie's voice was the most precious thing I ever heard. And the look on Raph's face when he was about to land that elbow drop. That needs to be a GIF ASAP.

I love Transformers Animated and have been wanting to get my hands on more figures from this series. This Bumblebee looks CRAZY GOOD! My Legacy Evolution Core Class Optimus Prime & Bumblebee arrived today. This is one of those boxes I'm gonna hang onto.

I was about to chime in with that time MS tried to buy Nintendo and they laughed at them for an hour. Instead of buying companies and letting them fold, MS should just, I dunno, focus on making quality games. But I guess that is WAY too much to ask. -------- Golden Fox hot shots think they will be farming free Ws. In comes Death Wind II and Fire Field.

You know how in F-ZERO 99, blown up players are represented by a pile of pixelated ash and a name above said ash? I was driving by one and pile read "Samus Aran". I'm sorry @Chadouken

I was in Winan's Coffee & Chocolates next to my job before work and KO'd some poor SOB JUST before they would have crossed the finish line. The dopamine rush I got from ruining that player's day was THE BEST. That legit felt more satisfying than any punishment I could inflict on someone in Splatoon 3 or Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Like, I'm ready to be a super villain after that one act of cruelty.

Went to the Walmart by my church. I found EarthSpark Thrash, the nifty finger EarthSpark tacticons, Arcee and Hashtag. And finally. I FINALLY found a Rise of the Beasts Voyager Class Optimus Prime! The detail on this sucker is SO. GOOD. Easily one of my favorite Prime figures.

You aren't wrong. A typical F-ZERO 99 race looks something like this. Players are constantly trying to take each other out. Aggressive play is not only encouraged, it is rewarded. You get extra points for taking out your rivals. Scoring KOs can also get your a larger boost meter.
