just d/led the latest beta and actually had something resembling a real match. It even ended with a winner and a loser. Still bad connection with desyncs on every cinematic and literally no one wants a rematch, but the improvements are starting to show.

I tried watching since many here were talking about it, but I got one 3 minute match followed by 15, 20 minutes chatter. Look I like ultrachen, but even I can't handle that ratio.

I'm surprised they went public with the game in this state. I mean using the playerbase to find subtle or occasional bugs is great and all, but when bugs happen literally every match a dev doesn't need help with repro.

anyone else playing the samsho alpha? I'm not. I mean it's on and I'm mid-match. But i'm not playing it. For going on 30 full seconds now. *sigh*

For 3s only, 3SOE was preferred over 30th because of some super niche glitches or timing issues or something. I forgot them because they didn't seem relevant. But if you want more than just 3s and you ain't a weird arcade hyper-purist then 30th's online is about as good as anything capcom puts out.

I remember the cover art to Iron & Blood: Warriors of Ravenloft and thought it was a shitty Doom clone. Great way to miss your demographic, Acclaim. I absolutely would have played that shitty Toshinden clone. I used to DM a Ravenloft campaign.

No Karate Champ, no Psychic Force, no Destrega, no Bushido Blade, no Timekillers, no Pit-Fighter, no Yatagarasu (sob), no .. whatever that robot fighter on PC was (EDIT: One Must Fall). Most of the 2D era is just meme games... What mid-schooler made this, it makes me angry just looking at it. At least they had the decency to add Tobal No. 1 even if its was obviously an afterthought. 😠 Couple of 1-player games with 2-player-only fighting game modes I'd add to, including NES Trojan and Metal Warriors (SNES) Shoutout to Fighting Vipers and Weaponlord tho.

With like maybe the exception of the broad speedrunning community? anyway i'm playing through Hollow Knight again. it's cool halfway knowing where stuff is, i've went through the areas in a wildly different way than the first time without even trying.

Late opinion time: does an EX move really need the yellow coloring after it's grab lands? It just kinda hides the animation and the other person is long past the point of reacting to it. I'll not stand for this octo-slander. Unless you play charge, of course. Then you should stay in your corner.

My list would have Psychic Force unusually high, let the kids scratch their heads. 😤 Also Karate Champ and SF2:WW for figuring it all out.

You might be pretty hardcore about what buffs your characters need for game balance, but you are not as hardcore as these guys.
