  1. https://www.google.com/amp/s/wccftech.com/geforce-now-leak-lists-final-fantasy-vii-ix-remake-half-life-2-remastered-mgs2-hd-and-lots-more/amp/ Yo holy shit DRAGON'S DOGMA 2. Not explicitly confirmed but the data isn't fake so it seems pretty likely, and that's on top of knowing Itsuno is already working on some fantasy title. Also FFT Remaster is cool
  2. I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. I didn't say that that's how it should be or that the devs shouldn't have just reduced the settings or whatever so it runs better. What I'm saying is that if the game is having a harder time running if the settings are high, then using the version that is less intensive having an effect on the delay makes sense. Even on PC the 4K setting causes the input delay to be worse apparently.
  3. Yeah it's a weird situation but makes sense when you think about the PS4 version having weaker graphics, so easier for the system to process I suppose.
  4. The PS4 version of the game played on PS5 is equal to the PS4 pro which is 2.5f delay. The actual PS5 version is 4.5f, so just go with the PS4 on PS5.
  5. I don't play Anji but he's waayyy more fun to fight against now. Happy for all the Anji players out there. Also people be ragequitting even when they're already in celestial lol:
  6. Yeah I know the methods he talked about but it's still hard to deal with. Especially when the Chipp knows to do em at low altitude low so you don't have as much time to react. Definitely helpful for the Chipp's that like to go all the way to the top of the screen then drop on you with it though. Fukyo into 2h especially, if you do it early enough for the counter hit, is incredibly rewarding. The holding forward tip is great when you don't have the reactions yet as well.
  7. Chipp is absolutely insane in Celestial. I fought a lvl1000 JP Chipp that utterly destroyed me 9 matches in a row. I seriously don't know what Nago can do if the Chipp player is patient and not twitchy. Chipp can punish any H whiff at almost any range but just running forward, and his fS is way faster than any of Nago's buttons with similar range. And the 2S>2H whiff cancel is ridiculous. Nago can't do shit about Beta blade if he ever jumps as well, Chipp literally gets to do it for free because Nago has no air actions. Feeling pretty lost in the match up.
  8. On the topic of the weekly meetup thing, might be better to have a set time picked ahead of time. Day-of is a little short notice.
  9. It's 5 out of 6, yes. No other demands, you just can't lose 2 games before winning 5 And I yeah, I got kicked down 3 times by a different Chipp each time before I finally got in lol
  10. Nah I just never explained it clearly enough, what I was imagining in my head was always the same
  11. I don't think they'd really get it right without it just being generic cartoon-ish/pixar style rendering. Like in that case I'd say the Ratchet and Clank devs would be best, they even already do platformer/shooter hybrids like I imagine EWJ would probably be similar to, but I feel like the graphical style is way off. To clarify further, I really was emphasizing the look of the rendering style of the game and like, it's cover art and such. That like more gritty style of "cartoon-ish"
  12. Sorry, I didn't phrase it clearly but I meant a new EWJ in 3d graphics inspired by the style of the original 2d game. If it was truly just 2d then yeah I'd agree with all of your examples, with some caveats maybe.
  13. I doubt almost any studio could pull off Earthworm Jim while still having a really great graphical style inspired by the original 2d art. I remember the 3d game looking super bland. Pretty much only ArcSys could make it actually look amazing probably lol. I guess they could just make a 2d sequel
  14. That PS5 lag news is a huge bummer. I'm glad I wasn't able to get one yet 😂 I wonder when FG devs will just include a competition mode or some shit.
  15. If they just take the block make sure to already be charging Rensen when you throw a poke and then do it so they land in it and take the chip damage. And if they end up in the corner you can get the explosion chip too. Additionally, use Rensen>8 to force them into throw range and put them in a hit/throw mixup. You're plus if they block the 8 follow-up. Especially if you're getting them to single jump once without air dashing, they will be in the perfect spot to get caught by this after jumping Rensen in neutral. And if they're double or triple jumping then just be ready with your normal anti-air pokes into Rensen again. And then if you get them to second guess whether they should jump or not for fear of eating the forced hit/throw mixup, you can use Winter Mantis again as well.
  16. @M A R T I A N I also made it to Celestial with Nago just last night, though you can really feel the divide between floors 10 and heaven once you play in there enough. I think I got by on floor 10 mostly cause of the opponent not knowing what to do vs Nago or that they just need to be patient and block sometimes lol. Was fighting a Millia in heaven that was pretty much destroying me harder than any other fight I'd had before aside from like, AlterGenesis's Ram. People in Celestial for the most part ACTUALLY are playing Strive it feels like. Makes me feel like I got lucky lol
  17. It's not the full length of the hitbox is all I meant. I assumed that's what you meant by disjoint since you included Ram who also has her hurtbox halfway up the sword too. AFAIK disjoint is just shorthand for hurtboxes being smaller than hitboxes on attacks, which is the case for those Ky normals I mentioned, but if that's not what you meant then my bad. I hear you on those normals not being as good as what May and Ram have though For those falling moves you just have to time 6P really well, or DP. Those moves are annoying to deal with in general
  18. Most weapon attacks don't have disjointed hurtboxes with just some being exceptions. Like for Nago all of his S attacks have hurtboxes but his H attacks don't. I think Ram fS has a hurtbox halfway up the length of the sword but the furthest half is disjointed, May 5H is disjointed but most of her S normals are partial disjoint, etc. Like, the reason Ram fS is so oppressive is BECAUSE it is a S attack with partial disjoint, it wouldn't be as bad if it had a full hurtbox. Weapons having hurtboxes is just part of the balancing. Nago would be even scarier than he already is if none of his S attacks had hurtboxes, he'd dominate neutral even at blood lvl1 Ky also has some disjoint on 5H and 6H though they're both about halfway down the sword as well.
  19. It was 1f with no whiff animation in past games. They're technically worse now, though obviously in the context of Strive they are super fast. If you have a hard read on the throw, back dash will probably be a better option. Or jump if you have a great air-to-ground attack maybe.
  20. I was never a huge Coco fan or anything but the news really sucks. I just hope it really was completely her own decision and that she doesn't have regrets about it.
  21. Nah there's past GG fans that enjoy the game too, but yeah it is pretty different and of course there's a lot of vocal detractors as there always are and were for Xrd too early on. Don't forget people said the same shit about Xrd being easy mode or whatever, but the game in its final state isn't like Sign was. Strive won't always be exactly as it is now either. As for their intent they did explicitly say they want to bring in new people, but honestly I still think Strive is going to be hard for new players. Longer, freer gatlings was always one of the more beginner friendly points since you could kind of just mash out basic combos easily, but now you specifically need to learn to use certain strings only in certain situations, which is what higher level play has always been like but is just less forgiving for new players
  22. Strangers of Paradise is pretty corny edgy but the gameplay felt awesome. Especially the mage and dragoon
