A notable exception. I recently bought it, but haven't had the time to really get into it.

    This game, I swear...

I wasn't going to play it anymore until they fix the dropped reversals thing but I thought, to hell with it, I'll just abandon my cagey, deliberate playstyle and go full spaz mode with Blanka like a coked out green gorilla. Result: I went from 23,900-something points to over 25,400 in the span of one day. By throwing all caution in the wind and just going apeshit, I did better than I ever did when I was trying to 'play' the game. If SFIV and previous games can be likened to rock, paper, scissors and chess, then SFV and SF6 are like playing basketball on a minefield.

I guess the days of slower-paced, footsie-oriented fighting games are gone for good. Can't say I like where this is going. Oh well, at least I'm in Master now, so I got that monkey off my back. Took me over 28 hours, but better late than never, eh?

To keep it 100 with you. A bunch dudes felt some type of way because they thought Poison was hot and found out she was trans. There was no "potentially" Poison and Roxy were always trans. Akiman's original pen&paper sketches for Poison and Roxy show this. This was who Poison and Roxy were long before they even decided to localize the game in the West. Instead of just taking the L, insecure dudes went though all sort of mental gymnastics to try an avoid acceptance of that fact. Double Dragon pre-dated Final Fight. It starts off with Marian getting stole on and carried off. Billy and Jimmy Lee precede to throw hands on anyone, women included, to get her back and no one gave a fuck. Nintendo had a problem with Cody and Haggar hitting women, so they replaced them with two male characters. So it obvious to the player that they are only beating up other men.

The Poison was trans to avoid the stigma of men hitting women argument doesn't hold any water.  No one was reading lore on arcade machines. No one would have anyway of knowing that Poison and Roxy "aren't really women" in early 90s. If it were really an issue, Capcom would have done to the US arcade machine what Nintendo insisted they do to the SNES port and replace Poison and Roxy with male characters. In truth, it never was controversy. Just salty dudes not taking accountability for jerking off to trans character.

If in future arguments over matchups anyone ever uses the argument of authority by invoking the pro players' opinions, just counter by saying that Nemo thinks Lily vs A.K.I. is an 8-2 matchup.

Seems pointless to do at a video game event. Maybe they just wanted publicity but it just comes across as shitty and selfish.  Maybe if the tournament was sponsored by big oil buy they just look like bitches doing this.

Considering the dumb shit JSO activists keep doing it's likely a corporate funded group designed to discredit actual anti-oil movement to keep the corporations like Aramco and Petronas going instead of humanity collectively moving away from fossils.

Same exact story as when the campaigning against nuclear power took place and now Germany for example has shut down most of its down and went back to using coal plants for electricity

Two matches played, eight reversals that wouldn't come out. I'm done with this game until they fix the input reader.

I got Dhalsim to master rank today in probably 20 hours compared to the nearly 40 it took for Chun-Li. Online Sim too strong.

I couldn’t believe it when he started going that route I tried explaining why he was wrong,  he replied “the only thing Ken has is throw loops and if he lost it he’d be bottom 5”.  I considered sharing it all the scrub quotes but said fuck it.

At that point I knew he just didn’t know what he was talking about and didn’t wanna waste my time talking to a brick wall.

Glad to see I’m not the only one with reversal trouble it tilts there fuck out of me when that happens. Plus I play blanka so it’s not like ex vertical ball is a hard input .

I haven’t been playing the game at all really but decided to get drunk and play some casual matches. Run into a master ranked Ken I barely win but scrape by with a win almost every time. I get a friend request and he ask if we can play in a custom room..sure.

I know he’s low key salty and like a pansy i try the nice guy route and tell him I’m just a drunk guy trying to shake off the rust then the cockiness starts “yeah I can tell lol you’re not reacting to anything just being random”  I  3-0 him and start talking shit and the excuses start rolling in😂. I could have played him more but he was being a condescending bitch after every match.  “You’re only winning off throw damage, Ken is negative on almost everything, you’re playing blanka wrong etc etc”

i know I suck but the amount of delusional people who think they’re gods is kind of funny.

Does anyone else have a problem with dropped reversals? Not just during DR, but also on wake up or during gaps in attack strings and especially after air resets. I look at the input reader and the correct input is there, so I know I'm not fumbling the move. I never had this issue in Street Fighter V (praise its holy name, what a great game that was).

Just got to Diamond 4 with A.K.I. by beating a Juri player (3-7 matchup for A.K.I.) who was on a winstreak.
Before that I go 1-1 with a Ken player who wins the first game but quits after losing the second one.

Can you believe that? Not only losing, but even quitting on an 8-2 matchup in his favour?

8-2! Like Honda vs Zangief in SF2!
These people are winning on character select and I still beat them!

I'm not really that knowledgeable on the technical side of SF, but I think the reversal window has an input buffer of 5 frames on the wake up animation before the active frames, i.e., you can input your reversal in the last 5 frames before you regain control of your character. I may be wrong on this though, maybe the hardcore frame data nerds can weigh in on this.
