  1. Someone mentioned this on a Skyrim reddit form and I had not really noticed it until now... Dark Souls also came out in 2011. So... while the TES fans have been waiting on the next "proper" Elder Scrolls... Dark Souls 1, 2, 3 + dlc content, Bloodborne and Elden Ring have happened as that whole genre became popularized as a big deal in the industry.... all while we continue to wait on one sequel that more than likely has had zero actual work done on it even at this point 12 years and 1 month later. Sad thing is I bet it's STILL many years away. Little kids today will be grandparents by the time Elder Scrolls 6 is released and that's really a "maybe", imo.
  2. I look forward to checking out the rest of that Katt interview; it already sounds like there's not enough "popcorn.gif"s in the world for the spicy shit he had to say about so many others.... yeahhhhh this should be good times....like we got at least a couple of hours of GOLD here, folks. On another note; we had the pleasure of getting out of work early the other day since the internet went down... oh yeah it was awesome; I immediately was back into the world of Skyrim right at my desk, and eventually they just said everyone could just go on home since it was unlikely to be fixed anytime soon and it was already in the afternoon.
  3. This doesn't surprise me that much; there was some controversy years ago where it was revealed he liked indulging in certain "special" massage parlors, if I recall... and one of the women hilariously called him a "sex poodle", which is one of the oddest, funniest insults I've heard in a long time.
  4. So, apparently they'll just keep the MST marathon going indefinitely!
  5. Damn I hate that I missed this live stream... of course you know this was bound to be a good one... oh hell yeah and they get right to the good stuff with the "Just Friends?" topic; you know I can't ever resist that shit
  6. It was mostly Diablo 4, Diablo 3 and Baldur's Gate 3, and Dead Cells for me in 2023...and probably still Elden Ring earlier in the year, I think....and of course just in the pat few weeks Skyrim has hooked me again.... my level 15 Imperial has more perks on the Vampire Lord skill-tree now, and currently on a mission for the great Lord Harkon.
  7. I got the gym's monthly report on the numbers---this has been the best month for me there; my total calories burned was nearly 20k (19,700+), from 23 workouts; there's a leaderboard there so yeah I got the #1 spot on the board for the month. That last workout on the last day of the year was goddamn amazing... I still had so much hyped energy to keep going after the end of it. Man, a good gym membership is an incredible positive thing in life and people should always do it if they can and have the spare time....there's really no downsides other than it costing money. At this point, any time I have a day off from work, I'm always tempted to go there for a class or 2... there's some days where I just stayed in the area for 2 or 3 classes in the same day. (of course with one of my portable systems there for the downtime)
  8. Skyrim--- so I returned to the spot and found "Krosis" again; interestingly enough his health was still lowered from our previous battle; I forgot the game apparently does that... of course now as a vampire lord it wasn't even a contest at this point. To be extra sure, I activated the Orc racial power and *then* changed into my monster form.... Krosis was destroyed in about 4 or 5 attacks since he was already at around half health or so. One cool thing you get from killing the dragon priests--- the masks; I just like the way they look, but they also have powerful bonuses... this one gives an increase to 3 stats though I haven't bothered equipping it yet. ...heading back to Whiterun, I was floating around in monster form and got too close to the city, saw the guards running over to attack...."oh yeah; oops, lol"...heh heh, I remember making that mistake before, way back on my first character... I went back out of sight around some corner and changed back to human form and returned to the city area. That's funny to me that the guards have no idea that the monster they were chasing a little while ago was me. ha, I can imagine my character telling them "hey be careful guys... there's some dangerous creatures out there; there was some big vampire in the area just a few moments ago...I managed to sneak past that thing and get here safely."
  9. I picked up where I left off, re-downloading Skyrim on Xbox (an odd thing happened a year or so ago that made me have to redownload/install everything for some reason)....on this other profile I had an Orc character, and it was good to be that again due to that godlike racial ability....but I did still run into some tough battles, like fighting a dragon and one of those super-powerful guys... I had to look it up online just to remember what type of enemy this is---a dragon priest named "Krosis". I tried and tried forever to beat this guy but could not with my lowly level 5 Orc. The dragon was killed but Krosis was the real threat. He's fast and can launch fireball attacks that have ridiculous splash damage...he has a frost aura so you take cold damage for getting close, then he can switch things up and start shooting ice magic/spikes at you. One hit is a death sentence since that first hit seems to cut your movement speed to nothing....so you are guaranteed to take whatever followup attack after being slowed so much it's borderline paralysis. He also keeps his distance to continue spamming magic spells.... as if that wasn't enough he can summon a Frost Atronach. and he can conjure a magical ward/shield on himself. I was not a vampire yet on this character so I didn't have my usual benefit of the "vampire lord" monster form. The best I could do after an hour or so of attempts was getting his health down to 60% or so... no choice but to give up and return to this fight later. Edit----and so it begins; I made it over to Volkihar Castle and now have Vampire Lord status....I forgot how fast this goes when you kill things in that form; I already have several of the perks unlocked just from killing a few animals out in the wild and running thru a certain cave area, killing the "Falmer" folks.... I also made short work of a random dragon; he was nothing in the face of my new monstrous power. ohooo the next vampire character I could make just popped up in mind----I should make "Vorador" from the Legacy of Kain franchise. In the world of Elder Scrolls, an Orc will be the closest thing to the look already.
  10. Remember that time they got comedian "Flex" to play Michael Jackson? Double Toasted crew just had fun taking a look at that one... hilarious that Flex was in "white-face" to play MJ in the later years... what in the hell...so they didn't even have the rights to the music for this movie....I shouldn't be surprised considering the pitiful budget but damn....
  11. I am just recently finding out there have been some Diablo 4 figures (by McFarlane!) thanks to some recent trips to Gamestop... So far, I've seen 2 versions of Necromancer which happens to be my favorite character class.... and a Blood Bishop figure. The temptation is too strong here...and I have some Christmas cash to burn so.....oh yeah... and here's a vid on the Blood Bishop...
  12. Well, in one of the final trips to Best Buy for physical media... today I found the Predator franchise collection--- parts 1 and 2 + "Predators" and "The Predator". (*again that annoys me when they decide to NOT just go with numerical designations for things... like watch how the next Xbox will simply be called "The Xbox" or "New Xbox") I also noticed they still have those ASUS ROG Ally systems... if I didn't already have a Steam Deck I'd be tempted to get that... or the Legion Go whenever it's out.
  13. Skyrim---heh, man I can't wait to betray these Dawnguard chumps all over again on my new character... especially after a recent glitch that at first looked like it completely broke the questline... (*if you have a bounty in Riften, the Dawnguard guys will immediately be hostile on your first visit, which is a problem since you need to speak to them to start it...getting in trouble "again" in Riften and then paying off the bounty will clear it though) Oddly enough I didn't play that many of the other races in this game though... I've only ever played as an Orc (*BEST racial ability, imo. DOUBLE damage, bruh.), Imperial and Redguard and High Elf.... The Khajit are an odd one---I think the concept is cool but the execution of their design just looks kinda goofy... I'd probably be more into playing one of those if they looked more like the Thundercats; that's a much better "cat people" design aesthetic, imo.
  14. I mainly know him as one of the usual "hotep" type of dudes.... also he's hardcore against interracial dating for black people....one of those guys that will instantly look down on or wish to immediately banish anyone from this "tribe" for daring to be involved with a non-black woman (especially if the woman in question is white, of course) Part of me does indeed love the fact that people like him exists though; it's a constant source of easy entertainment to point and laugh about, pretty much anytime he says something. Oh there's also some school he was wanting to build...and he would keep getting occasionally roasted for taking so damn long with that; did he ever finish that, I wonder....that's funny if the school *still* isn't built...
  15. Well, someone at work mentioned this story earlier... that woman Gypsy Rose got released today apparently https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/gypsy-rose-blanchard-who-pleaded-guilty-to-helping-kill-her-abusive-mother-is-released-from-prison/ar-AA1maoKi man, what a sad, dumb sap her old boyfriend was... so he apparently killed her abusive mom for her. They both of course were convicted over this shit...since he's the one that actually did the murder he's now stuck with a life sentence with no chance of parole. Now--- she already moved on and was going to get married to some other dude recently. Imagine being such a silly fool as to actually commit murder for your girlfriend... you both get time for it but she's out now and moving on with someone else while you will have to sit in prison for the rest of your life; no chance of getting out. That's one of the biggest Ls I've seen in the news cycle in quite a while. There's a lot going on in that story though; I'll have to watch whatever special that was about it...but man, he threw his life away, ultimately for nothing but this life prison sentence.
  16. and so it begins... my Skyrim character hit level 11 so the Dawnguard content can start now. Oddly enough I'm still a "regular mortal" at the moment... with the exception of the 1 character I made to be a werewolf, this is probably the longest period of time in that game that I've gone without being a vampire. I normally prefer to use 1-handed weapons; usually swords but the power of 2-hand like warhammers and greatswords is tough to resist....would be even more devastating if this were an Orc character (*due to their racial bonus involving temporary double damage....insane power-up there compared to the other racial bonuses). Even without being an Orc... you can easily start one-shotting enemies pretty fast in the early game with the 2-handed weapons. ...between this ancient classic and the newer hotness of BG3, it may be a while before I get back to Spiderman 2, despite how much fun I've been having with it. *also; I'm still not finished with the dlc for Kingdoms of Amalur, so there's that one as well.
  17. Attack of the Doc! I've heard of this documentary from Chris Gore but never seen it until now.... this brings back so many memories....
  18. So I've been back into the world of Skyrim yet again on Steam Deck lately... so far so good; it's actually been a stable experience, surprisingly.... my character Lucien (Imperial) is still fresh; just a meager level 6 at the moment. (at level 10 I can start the Dawnguard story and get my awesome vampire lord form and powers asap). I found that tower on the way to the Greybeards where a woman stops ya, asking for a toll of 200 gold to pass; the option to persuade came up and she agreed to let me pass for only 50 gold instead.... once she turned around I pickpocketed the bitch and then killed her...took all her stuff and killed the other people in the tower as well....so naturally I got my money back and so much more. See, I never get tired of playing the bad guy/asshole in an rpg....it's always a good time.
  19. Oh yeah tabs will be kept.... in looking her up I also noticed she's an Aussie and thus has THAT accent ...unfortunately the accent is not quite as strong/obvious as I'd like though; that's a shame. Oh yeah and I was already interested in this the moment I found out Sofia would be in there; that girl is entirely too adorable Even in the "Mummy" makeup some years ago she was looking like the finest mummy anyone has ever seen. Yeah I'd eat that.
  20. I found this movie on dvd not that long ago, actually.... cogan got around to making a vid about the vampire in this one.... ooh.... MST3K year-end marathon is live now
  21. So---BG3--- my first character finally met up with "Auntie Ethel"....and yeahhh I'm still probably not quite ready to deal with all that. I got into a battle with several "interesting" folks hanging out at Auntie's place, and it was a no-win situation there; I had to just reload an earlier save. (one can cast a magical curse that makes characters take damage on every turn of battle...eventually, all I could do was keep having Shadowheart heal people; no further chances to attack....besides, she tends to miss when doing an attack anyway so I just see her being the support role mostly at this point.) This was a tangent though; I've already done the major thing with wiping out a certain village, and it appears that *technically* I could go into an area that starts Act 2, but it still looks like quite a bit of map isn't even explored yet just on Act 1, on this character. (Stefano the Sorcerer....oh and yeah my sorcerer has indeed laid pipe on Minthara's fine ass now.) **oh---and this character has unlocked 2 illithid powers now---"Stage Fright" and Psionic Overload... so far Stage Fright is incredible; makes enemies attack at disadvantage...and each time they "miss" an attack they take psychic damage....one of my recent battles it appeared to work with the "opportunity" attacks as well, so 2 monsters in the Underdark got worn down pretty fast because they kept missing me and taking damage as a result.
  22. The hood & cloak/robe looks cooler than the pointy-hat version of a wizard/witch. Ohhh and that just reminded me----"Xavier" was another one of my favorite Eternal Champions characters....it's such a great thing that so many of those older IPs may get another chance soon in the modern era. I haven't watched all of this yet but noticed it recently on youtube
  23. I didn't know Steam did the end-of-year report thing as well.... I enjoy seeing the stats on things like that; for me it says 45 achievements unlocked across 9 games... Playtime = 28% was Dead Cells, followed closely by 27% Baldur's Gate 3, then 14% for Curse of the Dead Gods... Doom Eternal was 10%....of course 100% of my playtime was on the Steam Deck (the optimal way to enjoy pc gaming for me) I suppose Last Faith didn't rank because I was mostly offline when playing that...usually on breaks and lunch at work...same deal for Warhammer Boltgun.
