  1. haha it's nothing against them in particular....I just usually prefer being the bad guy in rpgs, since other genres don't really provide that experience as an option. Usually, we're set as the good guy/girl that's here to save the world and there's no choice in the matter...same with most movies and shows where the main characters are usually "the good guy side".....best you get is the anti-hero that occasionally does questionable shit. I'll get around to it on perhaps a "morally grey" character some day where that's *one* of his good deeds. You also have to make sure that Tiefling bard girl lives too, if I recall. (so Dark Urge players have to be extra careful there)
  2. Prototype 2---- portable good times now, thanks to the Steam Deck....I've been on that the past few days now. Even without being fully leveled up, the main characters in this series always feel so overpowered it never stops being an awesome power fantasy. (it doesn't go way overboard though; it's still possible to get overwhelmed and die) I am not sure how I'd continue this series if making a part 3... (I'd prefer to continue it instead of doing the "reboot" thing so many companies do these days to milk an IP).... one thing that could've been interesting is to keep James Heller as the main character, but now "Alex Mercer" is also part of him...so there's an internal struggle going on with the "Mercer" voice/essence(soul?) in his head trying to influence or take control. The main threat could still be Blackwatch or CIA or whatever other secret "agency" of government/military trying to capture Heller/Mercer and any other "evolved" beings that have shown up since the events of part 2...this involves your usual super soldier programs, secret high-level tech, perhaps even "men in black" agents being involved to tie up any loose ends and maintain as much secrecy as possible before shit hits the fan again. It's easy; this stuff practically writes itself, imo. A cool wildcard would be a cult or 2 that has popped up to worship Heller and the other "evolved" because they see them as "gods" or a sign of some prophecy, etc. Sheeeit, this is a potential goldmine of material some company is sitting on with the IP and they sadly don't realize it.
  3. Oh yeah, the funny thing to me is that there was a time many years ago...when I saw their acquisition of Star Wars as a good thing since it would mean more Star Wars stuff was on the way......wooo boy look how that turned out. Now if Disney is involved with something it's like a "stain" on that thing, imo.... almost as bad as that little consulting company "Sweet Baby Inc." in the games industry. haha at this point some gamers have taken to checking their official website on occasion to see what games to avoid 🤣 *On another note, I didn't know until now Disney had any involvement at all with the recent Boogeyman film.
  4. Damn, imagine my disappointment when he mentioned to get this "best robe" ...."...you'll have to rescue the Tieflings.." https://www.youtube.com/shorts/-iKYrTU7ZvI nah, I can't roll with that, bruh.
  5. The current younger generations are learning much too late about why an "all streaming!", online-only future for entertainment is ultimately a horrible thing for the consumer, and is only a benefit to the companies. I didn't even know "copies" were a thing on some of these services; I assumed people were *just* streaming shows and movies and that was it. The idea of having a "copy" suggests that you have that for real and it can't be taken away unless someone broke into your place and stole it.
  6. Y'know, I've never seen an example of a face tattoo looking cool... it just looks silly and dumb every time to me. Every time I've seen that fat singer "Jelly Roll" lately in the entertainment news cycle or on social media (fb) I can't help but laugh at how ridiculous the visual is. 21-Savage is another one that keeps popping up lately as well....speaking of which that was pretty funny that he got caught on a live-stream recently trying to scam a live-streamer in some card game....like his buddy forgot there's obviously the camera right there and they were LIVE to a huge audience. Also---for some reason facebook algorithm keeps thinking I want pictures of that weird looking girl Anya "TJ"....I'd rather not type out the name fully to avoid helping the all-powerful algorithm even more....but she just looks like a strange insect/human hybrid creature to me; best I can say is that her attractiveness is inconsistent. There are some pictures where she can be "ok" or mildly cute but most of the time she looks odd.
  7. It's so cool when you take a look in an old cd/dvd binder and find stuff that was forgotten about for years---- I still have the DVD of Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend! I put that into a proper case asap. Other random gold in there: Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on Dreamcast, a CDR that has some music from Legend of the Mystical Ninja (I really wish this would get a re-release some day), Aria & Friends (*oh yes... the absurdly hot Aria Giovanni), various other CDRs with game music, like Donkey Kong Country's water level, stuff from an old internet radio station "Radd Radio" (from early 2000s), Playboy "Girls of Reality TV", Seeing Double [a movie featuring S Club 7!], Uncovered [a movie where Kate Beckinsale got naked], the Class Act movie soundtrack, Monster's Ball and Swordfish [heh, obvious reason I bought those 2], the Bugsy movie soundtrack [by legendary Ennio Morricone], Boyz II Men's Cooley High Harmony, Cirque Du Soleil Nouvelle Experience, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm soundtrack, To The Limit [a movie featuring naked Anna Nicole Smith], WWF: The Music Vol. 4---yes, back when it was still called "WWF", not WWE.... Idle Hands [selling point = Jessica Alba] , Pharcyde's Labcabincalifornia album, An Erotic Vampire in Paris, Raze's Hell [Xbox game where you kill enemies that look like Teletubbies] the legendary "WWE Divas: Undressed" dvd, The Players Club, a FLCL/Furikuri soundtrack and so much more.
  8. Man I forgot about Granblue Fantasy Relink already being out there, so that's my next major acquisition in the "new stuff" category for sure. *ohhhh yeah it works on Steam Deck so of course I'm getting it there:
  9. Ah yes... that rant is delicious..... it may be obvious just from the thumbnail pic what he's about to go off about: ...too bad that particular battle is over though. No, there's no hope.
  10. It doesn't help that they continue to let my precious Gears of War franchise just collect dust these days.... this fall it will have been 5 years since the last one was released, and that next one was supposed to be the conclusion of a trilogy, btw. ...and I wonder how many more years until that Fable game is finally out? ...even though Kingdoms of Amalur already surpassed the Fable franchise in just about every way possible 12 years ago... then got the re-make treatment *with* new DLC about 3 years ago. 😆
  11. It would be a shame for the "nemesis" gimmick to just be left behind and forgotten... I kept hoping that would become a new trend or standard expectation in most games, especially rpgs. It was one of the best and most interesting new things in gaming from recent years. Diablo's version of it was a normal enemy gets "upgraded" to a nemesis monster by killing a player character.... then it can show up again later, either in your game or in the world of a random friend that also plays the game, and it appears with a title under it's name indicating "Killer of _____" (your gamertag...or if it's your game it re-appeared in, it will just have the name of your character it killed previously)...it also got stronger with each player kill. Killing the nemesis gives you a guaranteed legendary item. It was slightly different in Shadow of War (I think this was in Shadow of Mordor as well?)---there, the enemy that comes back as a "nemesis" also remembers certain things about your previous battle, and it was upgraded to be even stronger, with new abilities and less weaknesses... they move up the ranks as well. This character could also appear in your friend's game. ah, I figured videos had been made on the subject.... it's a simple concept that is genius....it naturally adds plenty of replay value: Edit----ah, he mentions it right in this video, actually.... so there's a legal element at play since WB apparently had a patent on the nemesis system, so that would be the barrier to other companies using it. Yep, YongYea had a vid on this in 2021: ...and someone just mentioned in the comment section----imagine if this feature could've been used on great ones of today like Elden Ring!
  12. Carl Weathers of course was also known for being part of the manliest handshake in the history of film:
  13. Strange that I'm only just now finding out about this by browsing the Steam store a few minutes ago----oh yeah I like what I see so far:
  14. ^oh yeah I'll have to check that out in a minute... for anyone that may have forgotten by now, the story of Travis Walton was the basis for that movie Fire In the Sky. (...that movie had aliens that looked like Joe Biden, btw; there's no way I'm the only one that notices the odd resemblance.) ...it's been a while now; that movie is now 31 years old.
  15. I haven't seen her in a while so I had to look up the channel again...
  16. Despite the rest of the problems and general unappealing nature of that Suicide Squad game.... that scene where the guy takes a piss on Flash...sheeeitttt that was goddamn hilarious to me....such an impressive level of degenerate disrespect right there. haha imagine if he then shit on him too. I'd be equal opportunity with it as well, unlike those behind this game from what I hear---- in my version, Wonder Woman's corpse would get pissed on too...maybe add a big wet fart on her face for good measure. 🤣 ...and that just reminded me of the piss fatality in Primal Rage again; this is the first time I've seen such a thing since that game. No shame here; it's down to my admittedly disgusting sense of humor.
  17. I went back to my PS5 Baldur's Gate adventures just now.... last I played that version was this past November... my main character there is "Alastor" the warlock; level 4. This character was right at that good part where you can raid the Grove area.... such delicious betrayal of the people living there....the look on Zevlor's face when he realizes the situation; I love it. This time, Astarion got the killing shot on Zevlor....so I took the opportunity to then use "Speak with the Dead" on him, which was pretty interesting. Oh yeah he was in such a bad way at the end... Astarion got a vamp bite attack on him at one point so he had that "bloodless" condition....we still had the "Blessed" buff going on from Shadowheart as well, and easily dispatched the few archers around in no time. Oh yeah, before getting into this battle I sold some stuff to the vendor "Dammron" I think was the name... after the battle I noticed his dead body there and I got the stuff back that I sold to him just moments earlier.
  18. I didn't know until recently there was a recent Puppet Master film... made in 2018; Puppet Master: The Littlest Reich. I found it on 4k at my usual tv/movies/games/etc. place here. I finally watched it today. This is THE best one, easily, imo. It delivers on the usual that one expects from a horror slasher--- great kill scenes and the occasional nudity (*which was a surprise considering this is so recent) Also, it doesn't hold back at all...there's some kills that are pretty shocking in today's sanitized world of generally "wuss" level entertainment.... 2 in particular are hilariously sick and demented. I love it. Ohhhh and it just went into the classic theme during the credit roll just now.... that brings back the memories... ...but yeah this is quality stuff, folks. It's not just the quality of kills but also the amount... the puppets are on a rampage here that puts the past movies to shame by a longshot. Shit hits the fan pretty fast and it's a non-stop bloodbath in there. Some of the classic puppets return of course--- some with cool new design variations.... there's Tunneler, Torch (called "Kaiser" now apparently?), Pinhead and my favorite one Blade... I actually had a "Blade puppet" figure I got from a comics/collectibles shop years ago....I also got Torch but none of the others. I should've bought Jester when I had the chance back then; the only ones I've seen in stores recently have been Pinhead Tunneler and Blade, probably since they went on to become the more iconic faces of the series. Trailer---
  19. yeahhh you couldn't pay me enough to be that close in the same room with an actual tiger....unless he's chained up and can't really move around much, nah that's just one of many animals that it's best to keep your distance so you don't learn a lesson the hard way. We've all seen those "When Animals Attack!" specials on Fox back in the day to know what happens. ...reminds me; I would record those Animals Attack specials whenever they were on, because it was always hilarious gold to watch actual footage of people finding out "the hard way". ...y'know a random thing that grinds my gears; just out of left field here ---- those short-length socks. I got some of those as a Christmas gift last year or year before from a family friend... those are always annoying to me; longer socks are clearly the superior choice every time. ...I watched "30 Days of Night" just the other day since I noticed it being on Netflix---that one is definitely a big-time classic for my fellow vampire fans out there.
  20. Oh it wouldn't surprise me if there was some meddling from Anita S. or people like her.... apparently that's how that group "Sweet Baby" (ha, funny name) rolls and they've become known for being the stereotypical "activist" types that have sadly infiltrated this industry over the past few years. ...but man, that sounds as obvious as those moments on CW shows where they write Superman to say things like [to Supergirl]"Wow, Kara...you're just SO much better than me!" 🤣 (keep in mind, in that show's own lore, Clark has already been Superman for quite some time when Kara decides to do the superhero thing; she's the newb here.) So totally subtle there.....we're supposed to pretend it's not a thing and totally not noticeable at all (like Harley's non-existent ass and tits in this new game, since I guess titties and ass are "unrealistic" and "dated" things), of course.
  21. So, Luke Stephens' review of Suicide Squad.... and nah, he doesn't hold back either on it: Season 1 (when they add that "Joker") is in March apparently? haha I wonder how low the player count will be by that time. ...another small nitpick I can't help but notice--- this game features the most visually unappealing Wonder Woman I've ever seen....it looks like a bootleg WW that some half-talented person tried making using some other game's "custom character" mode that has very limited customization options.
  22. Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous is on sale on Steam now for 12 bucks... also Hexen for super-cheap at 1.49. ha, Senran Kagura is even more degenerate than I previously thought... I'm realizing now there's a "grope" option to feel up the characters 🤣 maybe they designed this with future VR functionality in mind. I played more of this cheeky greatness on my lunchbreak at work today.
  23. That was shocking to see V-Rising is now on the way to PS5! So...that finally means natural, *official* controller support for the game then! Oh yeah you know I'm there for it day 1, guaranteed. I was just thinking about the game the other day since I haven't played it in a while. Also one of my favorite VTM content creators also had some commentary on the recent gameplay showcase I'm also a bit more optimistic about this after seeing it...(*unlike most VTM fans at this point, who I'm sure are already frustrated with how certain things here in gameplay are clashing with the lore) I still would rather they have 3rd person view as an option, and we need to see what's possible for character customization....so far they've only shown what the "default" Phyre character looks like. I was hoping for more than 1 clan type for Phyre being showcased but I suppose it makes sense to start off showing the more violent, action-oriented "Brujah" (their main thing power-wise is basically superhuman strength and speed/agility) though.
  24. I was looking forward to checking this out today... extended gameplay reveal for Bloodlines 2
