  1. Well... Senran Kagura is definitely a "risky" game to try and play at work... I tried on lunch hour but kept pausing and looking around since y'know... "NSFW Content" is just how that game rolls every 2 seconds. *I'm getting caught up on Cyael's stream of Suicide Squad yesterday.... so one problem starting off was that apparently....people could NOT use the extra outfits that were supposed to be included with that $100 edition that let them play early. Oh what a surprise 🤣
  2. Cyael is live streaming that disaster right now....it's unfortunate I missed most of it already.... I'm sure he's in full roast mode on it:
  3. It's a shame how short a season is. The latest Masters of the Universe that just popped up on Netflix is only 5 episodes....though the short episode count in this case seems "natural" due to how that story played out...like more would've seemed like an "anime filler" situation. I hope it doesn't continue to get worse though, and in the future a "season" of a show is 3 episodes....sometimes it just seems like laziness (or cheapness?) TnA sidenote---Teela is looking hot as hell in her "Snake Magic" outfit....I am not sure which form looks better; that or her regular "redhead cutie"look. The Snake outfit does show more skin currently so it has that advantage.
  4. yeah it can never go back to the way it was now since internet and streaming has rendered television obsolete....even just the free version of youtube; there's more and more options now where some channels have a show on 24/7, like that GI Joe channel, or the Power Rangers official one, or as of recently the MST3K channel. There's so many great childhood memories associated with "Saturday Mornings" tv though, obviously... my cereals of choice at the time were always either Frosted Flakes or Cheerios. I always woke up a bit too early when the black & white syndicated shows were on, so that's how I got acquainted with shows like The Munsters and The Addams Family....usually one or both of those would be on before the normal cartoon block got started for cbs or nbc....typically things would get started at 7 am central time, and it's all cartoons from there until around 10:30 or 11.
  5. That sale is almost over so I got Senran Kagura for the 9 bucks....this started off with several (all?) outfits already unlocked, I noticed. I wonder how much of a hissy fit the "activist" types in the game industry would have about this game---because SO much of it is definitely something they would whine about it being "problematic" or "a product of the time" and all that other weak ass nonsense. Oddly enough I do love that people like that exist in the world though; they are fun to laugh at while the rest of us keeps actually having fun in life.
  6. A shame that I missed this live.... I never thought about ranking them before---but right away the top ranks for me would be Dungeons & Dragons, X-Men, Muppet Babies and the 2003 version TMNT. *This is also bringing up a sad generational divide, actually---kids from the current era going forward have no experience with the concept of "Saturday morning cartoons". That just isn't and won't ever be a thing in the minds of that generation, since for some silly reason the networks killed it. ha, I just remembered Mighty Mouse got in trouble because of that episode where he was shown sniffing a pile of white "dust"....haha maybe they thought they were being slick there, perhaps.....not subtle enough, guys; that controversy killed the show 😆
  7. haha that's wild to me that a controller costs that much in the first place. The sales on Steam right now are tough to resist as usual--- one of those Senran Kagura games is on sale for 8.99 at the moment, and Shadow Warrior is only 2.99! The latest TMNT game is also on this "Pirates & Ninjas!" sale. I can't resist; at least 1 or 2 of these things will be on my Steam Deck before this weekend is over.
  8. So... REDFALL--- I'm wondering if those who bought the "Bite Back Edition" will just be screwed out of the extra content? It seems doubtful they'd do anything more than the occasional small patch update and even that much effort is surprising at this point....they're probably hoping everyone just forgets and moves on so they don't have to add the other stuff---I think that special edition had the promise of at least 1 or 2 new characters to be added. I keep checking the reddit forum on it out of morbid curiosity....of course plenty of topics of people asking "is this game abandoned?" 😆 man, good thing I never wasted money on that disaster. ...still such a shame though; I was looking forward to it, but every new bit of news about it was always bad news....and I watched a couple of playthroughs online and wooo boy it was in bad shape; even worse than what people were expecting. **anyway; could they even get away with that though...? A special edition's extra content just never materializing if the company gives up on it due to the game being a disaster? It would mean those people spent the extra money for absolutely nothing.
  9. The "Shout!" channel is now streaming Farscape, I just noticed I used to watch this show just because the grey-skinned girl was hot...I never knew what was going on story-wise. I also forgot that Claudia Black was on there as a regular, so that was another good bonus.
  10. man, Palworld has become the next big "talk of the town" in the games industry. I am wondering how much of Pokemon's target audience that actually steals away; I'm sure a lot would still enjoiy the Pokemon games as well for whatever reason, but surely there's some who might be thinking ---"sheeeit, why stick with Pokemon games when that new game is giving us all this greatness right now on other systems?" and never look back.... like this is how I was thinking about Saint's Row vs. GTA when the SR franchise began. GTA could not compete at all with SR back then; it wasn't even that close a comparison in my mind. The new hotness was so obviously superior I could never go back. At the time, the old GTA franchise was boring in comparison, with no "custom character" mode. It was like the old days of VH1 vs. MTV...I think they were/are owned by Viacom(? I think?) but we all know which was the "cool" one and which one was for the music channel for boomers back then. ...and fast forward to now; quite a shame how the Saint's Row franchise ended up though. Now it's just one of the recent blunders to laugh at in the games industry, and that studio Volition was shut down.
  11. Skyrim - that Imperial ability "Voice of the Emperor" is definitely the other top-rank racial ability in the game...I looked up the level info on it and it's something crazy... it effects enemies up to level 99 apparently, so obviously that stays relevant for a LONG time...the area of effect is also a generous 75 feet. Ha, this isn't even close--- the Orc ("Berserker Rage"->double damage + taking half damage) and Imperial racial powers are so far beyond everyone else it's laughable....just yesterday a random bounty hunter showed up trying to collect on me; even if I wanted to pay it off I didn't have enough anyway so of course I had to fight him... the guy was surprisingly tough but once I activated "Voice of the Emperor" that was game over for him... because of that effect. He could do nothing but stand there calm while I sliced him up with a great sword. I also pickpocketed the 250 gold he had...then got even more gold off his dead body later. My imperial character "Lucien" is level 22 or 23 now. sidenote--- when leveling up the vampire lord form, I remembered as of recently that it's best to dismiss Serana for a while, because she is so relentless in attacking things that she often end up "stealing" your kills. *Lore stuff--- I don't recall ever seeing her transform, actually... though she should have the ability due to being Harkon's daughter and in that category of "Volkihar clan" vampires. (Lord Harkon, his wife and daughter got their vampirism directly from Molag Bal himself) I notice she always just sticks to using ice-spike magic, vampiric drain and necromancy spells.... ohhh it just hit me; that actually lines up with family issues in the story as well, since it would make sense for her to be closer to her mother (Mom also specializes in necromancy), and a bit more resentful of her father.
  12. Skyrim---ha, I forgot about the decapitations...Serana and I ran into 2 bandits in this Dwemer ruins/cave area.....while Serana used vampiric drain and ice spikes to slow the bitch down, I brought the hammer down and it took her head off 😆....I noticed you could "loot" both the body and the head...would be funny if I could find different items from her severed head. Yeah, I've put some points into "Two-Hand" attacks with this character. ...would be great if I could keep the head like it's an item....haha I just did the dragon shout power "Unrelenting Force" to blast her head across the room like a beach ball. ...Interesting; I tried using the "vampire servant" ability to see if I could resurrect her headless body but it didn't work. I also tried the spell on just the head but no dice there either.
  13. Interesting; I noticed "Niklaus" (Joseph Morgan) from Vampire Diaries in that Halo season 2 trailer... also it looked like it features more action this time; too bad it *probably* sucks overall though... Chief may have his helmet and armor on for 2 or 3 scenes. Also, I haven't really cared that much for Halo as a franchise in a while anyway.
  14. Hollow Earth theory is a fun one that's actually cool, imo... Also, imagine if it turns out that the "aliens" were never really alien... they were also natives to this world the whole time; mankind just wasn't generally aware of them. This is one aspect of the "Gears of War" story I really liked; that the "locust" species were not aliens, nor were they magical "demons" or whatever, despite how horrifying they look---they were on the same world the whole time, and humanity was not aware until "E-day" when they showed up in full force as a threat to all human civilization.
  15. yeah I dodged a bullet there---it was just recently, before the drm announcement that I was tempted to get Monster Hunter Rise on Steam Deck, but decided against it.
  16. Fight N Rage (and the whole genre, imo) is perfect for a portable system; I played a lot of it on Switch. Aside from all the other unlockable characters being limited to vs. mode... my only other complaint was a certain area where you are on a raft which drastically cuts down your options of how to move around and fight/survive things.
  17. Oh yeah, the scumbag tactics started early in the gaming industry; the first thing I noticed that stood out in a bad way was the "Play Choice 10" machine, which was a Nintendo thing....an arcade cabinet that had 10 games. The thing though----there was a timer set at "300". This ticked down no matter what was going on, starting from when you put a quarter in. Once the timer hit 000, you had to put another quarter in the machine to continue....didn't matter what was going on in the game you were playing...the game would freeze until you put more money in. ...just watch; I wouldn't put it past any of the companies of today to try that idea again some day. haha someone's going to resurrect that concept, where a game just locked up entirely until you spend more money. For anyone that missed out---Double Dragon 3 on NES was pretty lame, sadly. It had some interesting ideas but overall it was a letdown; Double Dragon 2 was the better, more fun game.
  18. More to document the general decline of society.... I saw this clip on some other channel and now I see A&P are covering it a well... No, there is no hope for the future...no way to turn it around like you might see in a work of fiction where a happy ending/resolution is usually guaranteed. It is only going to keep getting worse. This will seem "not that bad" in comparison to the embarrassing trash the future generations will be like, I'm sure.
  19. One thing I want that barely any of the beatemup games deliver on is a big cast of characters--- the more the better...even if some are just cheap "swaps" that are effectively the same character with visual differences. (like 2 or 3 that are the "huge, slow but strong" character, or 3 or 4 that are the "speedy combo-based person", etc.) Most of them only give you a few, which is just disappointing to me, considering what's technically possible in modern-day game development. The dream would be a huge roster + full custom/color edit mode so the characters also have different "styles" visually to pick from. Fight N Rage was such a big tease with this, sadly... there's a LOT of unlockable characters....but I was soon letdown when realizing they are only for the Vs. mode. (**this was so disappointing that I stopped caring about unlocking the rest of them) The regular story/arcade mode only lets you play the 3 main characters. It reminded me of being disappointed with NES Double Dragon way back in the day----all those enemy characters you could pick....but ONLY for the vs. mode. Story mode was just the Lee brothers. A bigger roster of characters is always going to be the better option, imo. Put as many as possible...like if I were making one, it would be something crazy like the MvC2 of beatemups, where the character select screen is insane with options.
  20. I have to admit there is some curiosity about the ridiculous premise of that Suicide Squad game.... not enough to ever spend a dime on it of course, but---how in the world could those losers stand a chance against one of the most legendary OP super teams in comics history? The only one they'd have a legitimate shot at killing is Batman, if any of the Batman fanboys could get off his nutsack and be realistic about the matter for 5 seconds instead of thinking "prep-time beats everything" as they worship him like an unbeatable god. Flash and the others can move and act way faster than they can even *think* about doing something....and that's on top of having all these ridiculous powers, like heat vision or having nearly indestructible bodies, godlike strength, etc. etc....if Green Lantern is in there, that's a guy that can create a light "construct" of anything... the list just goes on for days with how bad a matchup this is....and it looks like they're being controlled by Brainiac. C'mon man that's instant game over right from the start. It just appears so lopsided it's actually funny to me.
  21. That so crazy I can't help but laugh at the stupidity of the situation--- someone earning over 600k a year and still "struggling". They're making the right kind of money to win the game....yet *still* playing the game horribly wrong in some way, basically. ...likely trying to live like they are a true multi-millionaire; living way above their means. *I'm finally watching season 3 of The Boys---- I caught that cool little Easter egg where there's a commercial in the background about "Robert Singer for President"---and of course it looks like that same actor that was "Bobby Singer" in Supernatural.
  22. This would be another thing I'd go back in time to observe... the ancient times of the Sapiens vs. Neanderthals...even though it's sounding like things were lopsided for quite a while: Oh on another note---I was checking out the reviews of that show about Anne Boleyn....of course there is not a single positive one I've seen so far....it's a delicious non-stop roast session in these reviews; I'm loving it: (and not all of them are focused on how stupid it is to race-swap a real person from history, btw) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13406036/reviews?ref_=tt_urv
  23. Oh yeah--- some months ago(?)....surprisingly the extra "Re-Reckoning" content for Kingdoms of Amalur eventually did hit the Switch version. It was so much later after the PS/Xbox versions I assumed they weren't going to bother with it. I hadn't played the Switch version that much though since I got much further in the Xbox one, eventually beat the main story and was already into the dlc there long before it was on the Switch version. ---note; that content seems to be intended for your character after finishing the main story. I have the PC version of the game as well but it's only the original release. ....sheeeitttt, SO much extra gaming time opens up when that winter weather ices everything over. Yeah, I haven't been outside since last Sunday.
  24. Kingdoms of Amalur---Once again on a new character... I took the evil path as usual and sided with "The Widow" fae....came back to that first town and murdered everyone there at her request. This put it fresh on my mind what you get out of that; it's not even much...she gave me a little over 1,000 gold and some weapon that isn't even that great. It's funny how some of them will cower in fear before you....because they know it's over; they can do nothing. The last guy at least tried to fight me but he had no weapons so he obviously had no chance. This new character is all "finesse" build so far (rogue/assassin archetype)... I'll mix it with points in sorcery asap though since that was always my favorite hybrid build in the game. Avowed though---- I'm already wondering if you can be evil in that game as well... to me, that's one of the main things that really sells an rpg, since you just don't get that kind of fun in other genres at all. Even if that's not an option the footage shown the other day looks decent enough to hold my interest though... one nitpick is that perspective; I always want at least an option of 3rd person view. Also---- magic with a magic wand just isn't as cool to me as the character casting magic from their bare hands.... or maybe a staff. A short wand just looks a bit silly to me.
  25. I knew that name was familiar--- Jodie Turner-Smith was the woman they hilariously cast to play Anne Boleyn in a tv miniseries: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13406036/ I know he keeps his discussions to movie-talk instead of shows (at least usually) but it would've been funny to see John Campea and friends try to defend that nonsense. 🤣
