  1. Out of morbid curiosity again---I checked some stats for Redfall to see how many people were playing lately---- it was a total of 20 people on as of a little while ago.... 64 players at most in the past 24 hours. 🤣 I also check the reddit forum on occasion to see what the few remaining fans are talking about lately....especially that topic of wondering if they will finish the extra content for the Bite Back edition or have to do refunds....or are they just hoping people forget about it so they don't have to bother either way. I'd bet it's that 3rd option. Eventually when it hits absolute zero fans playing at any given time.... they're safe to move on without any flak since at that point everyone has forgotten and no longer cares.
  2. ooh, Perri Nemiroff just went live with her Madame Web review....I definitely look forward to checking that out later, because she seems to always try to skew positive; has a hard time being harsh on anything from what I've seen of her vids/commentary. John Campea didn't appear to hold back in his "fresh out of theater" quick review/impression of it. Another one (also formerly of the old Collider crew) Kristian already has a vid just posted "Is Madam Web Really that Bad"....ohhh yeah this should be a fun watch. Harloff seems a bit more even than the others though; he doesn't seem to have much of a problem saying a certain movie or show sucked. ...such a strange idea to use that character as a main character in a movie in the first place, imo. The powers again though----now imagine animal mimicry going to that next level by including abilities of the insect kingdom. Now you're really talking game-breaker stuff all in 1 power. With the strength of a dung beetle, you could push or pull/lift a bit over 1,100 x your own weight. Then there's stuff like stingers, neurotoxin effects, amazing levels of speed and reaction time, and weird stuff like the bombardier beetle's ability to produce a super-hot liquid spray as a defense mechanism, or the bio-luminescence of a firefly, or the tardigrade's ability to survive nearly anything.
  3. Oh and then there's the mutant power choice I forgot to mention.... my ideal choices are the usual superpowers I've always wanted, if we're talking simple things...any of these would be good---- superhuman speed/agility, psychic abilities (doesn't have to be top-rank like Xavier either; give me some "mid" level psychic ability and that would be awesome to me), or some level of super-durability like the Colossus "metal skin" ability, "ghostly" phasing, or cool shadow/darkness-based abilities.....any 1 or 2 of these things would be my preferred choice of X-gene power. ...ooh, and shapeshifting....also that perfect animal ability mimicry like Beastboy and Vixen have (*preferably like Vixen in that I can have the animal abilities without needing to change form like Beastboy does....but as a mutant power; Vixen needs a magical totem thing for this power.) ...but out of all these things, the psychic powers rank as the top most wanted thing, so that as a combo with at least 1 other thing would be golden. ...actually, that animal mimicry power is a good "cheat code", btw... because it's tons of super powers in one deal. Imagine you could generate electric/shock attacks like an eel, mimic the venomous bite of a black mamba snake, have color-change camouflage like a chameleon or octopus, gain superior vision like a bird of prey, or fly, have the strength of a gorilla, speed of a cheetah, etc. etc. Animal mimicry is another one of those top-rank power choices.
  4. ha, Morph had such a small amount of time in the old show that most people probably forgot he exists....it was shocking at the time to have a named character *apparently* get killed off on a Saturday morning cartoon. I probably still have some episodes on tape after all these years. YES... in 2024 I'm one of those people that still actually has vhs tapes.
  5. I'm curious which path you all would take if the X-gene and that whole scenario was real. More than likely I'd be one of those mutants that sides with Magneto if the choice was between him or going to Professor Xavier's school....even though ultimately that's a reckless path to become the enemy of "normal" humanity. ....but if I could track down Mr. Sinister and Apocalypse to side with them though, even better. ...it would suck to be cursed with a lame mutant power though; obviously not all of them are winners. Imagine being like Warren Worthington III, and all you got were those big goofy angel wings...that character wasn't cool until Apocalypse "fixed" him. **edit---yeah on the physical media front--- I'm never getting rid of my cd/dvd/blu-ray etc. collection....they would only get thrown away if the disc itself is damaged and worthless for that reason. It amazes me that so many people (seemingly most people) don't care about owning things. When you have a real copy of your favorite thing----it no longer matters if the internet is down today, or if the company that owns the IP of that thing suddenly goes away or gets bought out, shut down or whatever. You always have that copy of it. Not that long ago I was playing Phantasy Star Online on Gamecube again....because it still works after 20+ years. We won't be able to say the same about a lot of popular games today in the year 2044. ....oh yeah, also in that big CD/DVD pack I was looking through the other day---I also have the DVD of the movie Coffy, featuring Pam Grier in her prime. It's pretty sad that people today are content to be 100% reliant on an internet connection and what various streaming services have in their catalogue *at the moment* (which could go away tomorrow for whatever reason)....that you pay for indefinitely instead of just that 1 time disc purchase.
  6. Interesting... but that trailer seems to show us almost all of what the movie has going on there. I realize it's a tough balance though with how much to show off in a trailer. *on another note---Millie grew up to be significantly better looking than what I expected. ...and that reminds me; they just recently started shooting the last part of Stranger Things....hahaha that will be so awkward to see how old those people look now, still playing "kid" characters on the show. They waited a bit too long to finally wrap that show up.
  7. ah yes, see that iteration of X-men is the real deal for me---the blue/gold outfits taking me back to the days of the old Saturday morning cartoon. I was late to the game on comics in general so that show was where I started caring about X-men, really. (*it was not until after the cartoon that I started getting into some of the books---so like the mid to late 90s era) It's a relief to see new animation in this era where they want to just keep making poor live-action shyte out of cartoons and comics so often. ...and yeah, it irked me in the old movies that they put them in black leather outfits, since back then studios were scared of how potentially silly bright colorful outfits might* look in live action. (**---as with everything...that's really only if it's done poorly. Other superhero movies later proved it can be done just fine in reasonably comic accurate outfits and colors.) ...and imagine how cool it will be when/if Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister show up in this new show!!!
  8. BG3--(adventures of the newer character Julian the warlock)- it's interesting having Wyll in the crew now as a 2nd warlock... currently he is set up with the "misty step" teleport which is nice; I haven't used that before...also I gave him the "Command" power as well, which worked to great effect in a recent battle when Wyll made 2 crossbow-users drop their weapons. He also has "vicious mockery" but I haven't used that yet. *in the early levels for warlock, casting a Hex on enemies before you hit with Eldritch Blast....the damage is so juicy for a low level character. It seems like the optimal way is always going to be Agonizing + Repelling Blast and using your hex power for the added damage.... that knock-back effect is just too good to pass up...and later on when you get a certain other *spoiler* power, you can add even more damage in another way whenever you cause an enemy to take falling damage. I love playing warlock so much that it's tough to even be interested in the other classes that much. With this crew I barged in on that "loveshack" again...that never stops being funny to me... of course we murdered the couple.
  9. Well, this popped up as a recommended thing for me just recently https://store.steampowered.com/app/809090/EvilVEvil/?fbclid=IwAR2Yvb9QHwHQDbclwmpyaQqZQrRWXmnmzY7neRRkZ-g3xD5eyIF7I5cBLk0 "EMBRACE THE RAMPAGE EvilVEvil is a fast-paced first-person vampire shooter that rewards you for mowing through hordes of enemies without remorse. The game features a cast of badass vampires, each with powerful abilities and a heavy dose of attitude. Shoot your way through their story as you uncover the plans of the evil Zagreus and his devoted cultists." On another note---I went to one of my other characters in Baldur's Gate 3 today on the Steam Deck--- "Julian" the warlock... this is the one where I kinda forgot about Gale for some odd reason, so for quite a while it's just been this character + Shadowheart and Astarion... we got Wyll on the crew now so I'll see how that goes. I wonder how long he will continue to be in the party though... I've heard he's annoyingly too much of a "good guy" type of character, unfortunately, so I'm sure there will be a conflict with the group eventually.
  10. Yeah Tyrone was the stereotypical black name back when my generation was kids in the 80s, and likely a bit before that even in the late 70s.... Erykah Badu just brought it back in style with that song.... I like that song, btw; I heard it on the radio this morning on the way to work. Back in the 80s at least, the biggest stereotype names were probably Tyrone and of course the infamous "Leroy" (which probably had a brief resurgence in relevance thanks to the "Leeroyyyyyy Jenkins!" meme, I bet)... also Lamont, and for *decades* now--- "Keesha" and all it's countless variations. I lost count of how many "Keeshas" I've known in school and later on in adulthood as co-workers. (*at least 4 of them are in mind right now that I know from work.... only 1 of those 4 is a real cutie I'd go for, btw.) Yesterday I heard one of my top-ranked songs of all time on the way in to work---"Let's Dance" from the musical god known as David Bowie.... I can't ever get enough of that one. If I made a "favorite/top 100 songs of all time", that's always been a strong contender for my #1 spot in the rankings. I could listen to it on repeat forever. It works as perfect background for certain games I loved too... like imo you haven't lived until you're blastin' this song when playing the Bloody Palace mode in a Devil May Cry.
  11. Kanye should make it a regular thing to keep that noobsaibot/Night Trap outfit on more often. I can't get enough of that. ...and yes now I have some ideas to make a "Scat Team Override!"/Auger character in a videogame soon...
  12. BG3---this is so cool...I decided to start a fight with this level 6 Githyanki captain...it was going horribly at first but surprisingly my character and his crew have made a comeback... it's down to just that captain now, and I used some scroll of fear from Gale, and she actually dropped her sword.....and of course I ran up and snatched that off the ground immediately; now she has nothing and is still cowering in fear before us.... oh yeah we went overkill on this; as if all that wasn't enough I had Gale cast "Hold" to make sure she could not fight back as she was in the last 3rd of her hp. A bolt from Shadowheart and then a sneak arrow shot from Astarion and she was dead. Another thing here is that since I hit level 5... I got the "Hunger of Hadar" spell which of course is a big deal... I love that they have NOT toned down how ridiculous that spell is. Right at the start, I casted it in the area of the room where the captain and her 2 big wolves were....it really got things off to a bad start for her. Hunger of Hadar = you cast a large magical cloud of darkness that blinds enemies within it. They take cold damage at the start and acid damage at the end of their turn. The area is also "difficult terrain" so it's hard for them to get out....then...with repelling Eldritch Blast, you can always just blast them right back into it (I can see into the darkness since I also picked up "Devil Sight" with this level-up).....and it lasts 10 turns. 🤣 This is the "bankai" level shit, folks.
  13. haha I had to save the Night Trap picture. The fact that it says "SCAT TEAM Override" adds an extra layer of comedy for me, so that's gold right there. I actually bought that game on Switch, btw...it was on sale one day for super cheap.
  14. I'm just now finding out about this game recently.... oh yeah I like what I'm seeing so far: this guy's live discussing it now as well
  15. whoah hold on now---green peas being added that's an instant "no sale" for me; I can't do it. That's one of the worst foods. I am not sure which one I hate more---that or the brussels sprouts. Both are in that category of "you'd have to pay me a lot of money to ever eat that".
  16. ok, the intro of how this devil Raphael shows up in BG3 is really cool...right away I like this character and how he made this cool entrance out of nowhere in our campsite....then suddenly we were "somewhere else" as he seemed to be offering us his assistance. I had to leave it there for the night though.... ..apparently you could just speak with those Gith people by the bridge from what I've read on forums...? I just went in there in full attack mode. I'm already looking forward to whatever the next battle is. I want juicy exp and loot....if I recall, I got about 75 exp for each of them...then another big chunk of exp for going past that point and then Raphael showed up. I am still only about halfway to being level 5 though. There's still quite a few things I have missed out on back in the act 1 area.
  17. BG3---it just keeps getting better. I finally went into what I guess is the act 2 area.... The Githyanki squad by that bridge is one hell of a rough fight, man... eventually I just resorted to summoning those big goons hired earlier. Also, I was lucky enough to be in the right position to knock one of them off the bridge for an easy kill----thanks to the "repelling" aspect of Eldritch Blast...heh, there's a trophy for that as well. Even with my hired squad of "Deebo"-sized goons, this still took 2 or 3 tries to prevail. After knocking that one bitch off the side, I casted magical blindness on another one, and also used the "stage fright" power on them. That Deebo squad is still on my payroll... for 500 gold they agreed to continue being on call for me....oh yeah it's worth the price to have that hired help at the ready. ...since this character helped lead the raid on the Grove, of course my honey Minthara was pleased.
  18. Baldur's Gate--- so I remembered that I happened to have a potion of animal speaking on me when seeing a blue jay here in the Grove....I tried it out to see what's up with that; he didn't say much, just was relieved like "ah, those monsters didn't touch my nest!" or something like that.... he had nothing else going on. ...so yeah, I hit him with an Eldritch Blast anyway. Murdering the druids was so delicious... this was right after that. That one dude "Arron" is a real son of a bitch, man. There was one time I had to reload the save because Kagha casted plant growth so we couldn't move... then this dude casted Darkness on top of the area so that was looking like checkmate right there, since this warlock character I have doesn't have Devil Sight...he also kept constantly saving Kagha by tossing heal potions on her whenever she was down to 1 or 2 HP. Killing him was most satisfying. On another character/file I'll come up with some extra creative evil punishment for him in particular. The adventures of Alastor the Warlock and his cohorts continues.... we're obviously not here to be the good guys.
  19. whoah... this crazy bitch's name is "LUL".... "Top"?!?! I'm sure no one else will notice that because the rest of the story involving her is so insane but damn... her name sounds like an internet meme.... (*also shows that men need to have some damn standards... amazing that some dude[s] actually knocked up a woman that looks like that...multiple times... but again I have to keep reminding myself that a lot of people just have extremely bad taste in various things so there's always that as an explanation there....) As always, Anton is on point covering the increasingly fast decline in our society. Edit---she tried putting her 3 year old in the oven at one point.
  20. ah, of course Vee is covering Blazblue Entropy Effect...he goes into some detail here:
  21. Ok yeah I'm definitely sold on this game now...all these playable characters: **I'm just now realizing there's different "start-up movies" for Steam Deck that you can acquire with points in the shop.... so finally I have something to spend all those points on.... there's a cool one I see already with Ranni the Witch from Elden Ring. ...now I'm looking at all the animated avatar options in there as well...it's sooo much better than what the other systems have going on in terms of profile customization....hahah especially Nintendo's pitifully small amount of profile pictures.
  22. Currently on the MST marathon... this movie's title already sounds like a winner: The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed Up Zombies!!
  23. A quick one from another one of my favorite pawgys Claire G... her thickness has continued to improve over the years:
  24. I didn't know there was this much going on in the franchise... so there's a box set for Puppet Master, and this guy did a review....I haven't watched all of this just yet though: I only have clear memories of the first 3 films from way back... and part 2 was my favorite though the 2018 "The Littlest Reich" I mentioned recently takes the new top spot. *edit--- today I went to one of the "real" Walmarts here... the tv/movie section is surprisingly still decent enough... so today's acquisition was the "Beavis & Butthead The Complete Collection".
