  1. mmmmm yes yes... I'd like it if suddenly there was a boost to the redhead population...the females, at least..... Emily Beecham, Jessica Chastain, Holland Roden.....yes yessss I can't get enough of those magical creatures... you don't want to know just how far I'd go 😳

EDIT---oh and another fine one can be seen in the current "Car Gurus" commercial...wearing some tight workout clothes too...lovely red ponytail pulled back.....goddamn 😳

  2. cheh, the lack of reaction buttons is still quite the irritant to me...... not sure how people are continuing to visit "that other place" as their primary forum at this point.  I know it's just one detail, but seriously... 1 reaction only... ?  (+ it's on top of other things that went horribly wrong with their new format, like the lack of pages in threads......now I'm wondering about what kind of moron asshole even invents a forum layout like that in the first place?  That shit is beyond terrible... like something from back in the '90s.... that is "Geocities and Angelfire in 1997" level shit, man.)

Time for Grumpy Old Man mode.... trends I never got the appeal of.....or specific games, really:

PUB goddamn G. <--this might be the new champion, #1 spot on the "I just don't get it" list, man.  This looked like a such a pile of steaming shit from the first time I saw it....I never got why this bullshit was ever, ever popular for any length of time.  *Maybe* it's because some entertaining streaming/Twitch personalities played it for a while?  The game itself has literally nothing going on that appeals to me....seriously, not 1 goddamn thing.  I'd actually rather play a boring ass golf game than this..

Minecraft---the era of this is finally coming to a close, it seems.  At least this sort of makes sense, because it involves creation, and I suppose younger gamers don't care that it has some of the ugliest graphics of all time.  I could never get past those eye-sore visuals... it's like one of those "FX-chip" SNES games from way back.

  3. I played Diablo 3 for the first time in quite a while this past Sunday then again tonight....the addiction may be on the comeback.  It would be nice if they were still putting out meaningful updates but sadly they aren't....there's a community event thing going on right now that just makes all treasure goblins appear in pairs.....yeah that's whatever.

I just got on again to play with an old friend on the weekend, then again solo just now, once again enjoying how overpowered these characters can get.... haha I forgot how ridiculous my witch doctor was; the dude hits for well into the billions for damage... could've sworn I saw 60 BILLION show up earlier tonight... BILLION, man... holy shit these characters 😆 I have a firebird/archon wizard but sadly his damage isn't consistently ridiculous like that.... but his damage on elite monsters and rift bosses is insane because of how that firebird item set works.  It was funny to sense how jealous my friend was that his characters simply aren't as godlike as mine....he probably needs a critical just to hit a million damage on something 🤣

*edit--yeah these numbers are crazy... my other wizard with the Vyr's set is hitting things for occasionally over 100 billion damage.

  4. whoah, they actually made Cheetah into a more interesting character over the years.... I never gave a shit about the character other than it being designed for TnA appeal but I was looking her up since that will be the villain in the new Wonder Woman movie...

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheetah_(comics)

basically like a mystical werecheetah goddess, it seems.

"In The New 52 continuity, Barbara Ann Minerva is shown to pierce Superman's invulnerable skin with her fangs just as easily as if he were human. Additionally, her bite transfers some of her powers into her victim, turning them into bestial feline hybrids under her control."

    ^niiiiiiice 👍

Sidenote---yeahhhhh I'd ravage Kristen Wiig all damn day.

  5. Meanwhile, check out ridiculous California is on this particular issue:
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/families-earning-117000-now-qualify-as-low-income-in-californias-bay-area/?ftag=CNM-00-10aac3a
🤣117k = "low income" Oh Cali...it's like you guys were specifically put here for our amusement.  Anyway, that is exactly the reason you AVOID living in a stupid area like that.  I'd rather be in a place where that kind of money means a NICE standard of living.

edit-- *holy shit and that little trash-box they showed had a million-dollar asking price?!?!  And...several offers were made above that?!?! BRUH 😄  Eh, these well-off buyers are probably some fools trying to flip it though...thinking "Ok I get it for 1.2 mil then put it on the market for maybe 2.5 later......"

  6. THE PREDATOR trailer is out, folks...

ehhhh and I think this is another case of a trailer showing a bit too much.  It's not as bad as that infamous Terminator Genisys one though; still makes me laugh that they had a huge revelation about a character right in the damn trailer for that.  The "Super Predator" should probably have been a surprise. (*haha isn't that right, Hilary Clinton?)

  7. Ah, so I can finally watch JoJo again if they will FINALLY involve the main villain after all this damn time.  I really hate it when shows do that shit, man.... like in Inuyasha... it just kept meandering like the villains were completely forgotten....(it's one show I eventually just gave up on; the show's very existence is actually irritating to me because of how disappointing it is.)

I'm definitely hooked on My Hero Academia... this and DB Super are the real main-events of the lineup now.

  8. Ok, I had to do it.... Phil is live with the finale of Vampyr right now.... surprisingly Tevin isn't doing his own stream of this, so here I sit actually watching this shit "for real".... I'm curious to just how much of a train-wreck this will be.  I fully realize this will be terrible, but much like an especially bad accident on the side of the road... I can't just go by *without* looking at it.

y'know, one sad aspect of it all for him.... is that at this point, I seriously doubt he genuinely enjoys playing games.... because for many years now it's been a "job" for him instead of real fun.  He's often just rushing through trying to "get this over with" instead of actually having a good time with a game....and he usually looks like he would rather be anywhere else than on that couch playing a game....and lately he's actually been falling asleep on some games.

Ah, Memology 101 is streaming it now, actually..

*yeah I doubt he will be able to easily beat this.... he's level 25....has a decent amount of health and stamina though...

What are your top 5 desserts?

    1) Cheesecake (any type)

    2) Brownies- Betty Crocker Supreme Walnuts

    3) Pecan Pie

    4) Reese's PB Cups/Snickers candy bar

    5) Cold Stone Creamery "German Chocolate Cake" ICe Cream Creation or any Ben + Jerry's Chocolate ice cream with lots of stuff in it

Out of your list, Pecan pie reigns supreme for me... I could eat that all damn day if I had no self control.  I don't recall ever having a "bad" pecan pie...even a half-ass one is amazing to me....just speaking of the greatness, now I'm craving it.

I don't normally have a dessert after a meal... but if I do, here's the top tier stuff:

    Pecan pie as mentioned already.

Banana pudding-- the way this place Monell's makes it is out of this world.

    Peach cobbler

edit--ohhhh and GOD TIER SHIT--> BAKLAVA.  Whoever invented this deserved a Nobel Prize for such an outstanding contribution to to world.

Then... if we're talking ice cream then there's the butter pecan.  Holy shit that is ridiculously good every time.  There was also one Kroger sold called "peanut butter passion" that was amazing, but I think they stopped selling it, sadly...and then I experienced the perfection that is butter pecan... it became tough to go back to anything else... all other ice cream is inferior, imo.

  10. Snort B's latest on the recent Phil vid that featured an appearance by Kat (*this genuinely surprised me, since I was one of those that figured she had escaped a long time ago, and he was just pretending that she was still there in his life)

Now....by his own words, they apparently spend very little time together....not exactly the best thing for a supposedly romantic relationship, I would think.  So it's only a matter of time until she actually does leave....or she just continues staying there while having some guy on the side that's secretly giving her the Bone elsewhere while Phil stays at the house 24/7.

....yeah, more than likely he's being used for the house.  Imagine how much any working person could save up by not having to pay rent for even 1 year...?

  11. hell yeah I definitely will be stopping by that Ollies place then....hopefully they have some other good stuff too.

I was at a Great Escape yesterday--- it's another one of those "comics & collectibles" stores....unfortunately the visit was quite disappointing though... they had not 1 damn thing I wanted to buy in there.  That's quite the accomplishment there....for a decently large store full of comics, movies, music, random shirts, figurines, games, and systems....they somehow had nothing really cool.  They had a R.O.B. amiibo but it was part of a 3-figure package, and I didn't really want the other 2....nor did I feel like spending that much for R.O.B. anyway.  They had a Samus one but I've only ever been mildly interested in that.... never was a huge Metroid fan, actually.  The only amiibos I'd be interested in *possibly* getting are Mewtwo (which seems to be gone EVERYWHERE... I guess online is the only hope for that one) and R.O.B. the robot.  My local Best Buy still has Ryu, but I've been kinda on the fence about that one too.

*surprising thing--- nope; never interested in the Bayonetta amiibo, despite being one of the biggest fans of that franchise..... all because the pose they have her in is kinda lame, imo.  Maybe I'll get that one one day though....it also would've been nice if they had a Jeanne and Masked/Unmasked Lumen figure but I don't think they were ever made....oooh a Grace & Glory figure set would be cool now that I think of it.....hell yeah I'd buy that if the poses and sculpt were good.

  12. Ok, apparently it was about 40 hours playtime… I took another go at the final boss in Vampyr and finished it this time… I had Dr. Reid up to level 29 by the end. Goddamn I loved every minute of this…and it’s only the 1st play-thru here… I immediately started on the next run. There’s already a lot of different routes I have in mind for this and the next go-round as well…between the various powers, who to kill and who to keep alive, the general status of the districts and the tons of dialogue choices, there’s a lot going on here with this game. I had some great villain moments in this first play-thru but that’s nothing compared to how I intend to play this time around…it’s time to go all in as ruthless as possible.

Then of course later this year we got Code Vein… so just with these 2, vampire fans out there finally have some good stuff to play besides TES V: Skyrim and old-ass Vampire: The Masquerade.

  13. Well, since I'm at the end, I checked out that Tevin stream of DSP playing thru Vampyr....

as expected, it's terrible how he plays that..... in the vid I'm watching, he's just speeding through like he wants to get the whole game over with as fast as possible.  He's running past any and all enemies he can, going out of his way to avoid fighting everything.

It's surprising he's made it so far though, considering it's a rough road difficulty-wise when you're going the "nice vampire" route in this game, avoiding the temptation to feed on the citizens. (EDIT---actually it shouldn't be a surprise, now that I think about it----if the cowardly tactic is how he's played through all this time, running away from all fights he possibly can.)  It is amazing that he somehow made it past the boss you fight before this part though....because that is one tough son of a bitch if you're a lower level.

haha, Tevin's commentary is so golden on these... "should've been fighting those dudes he's been running past for the past several hours..".... Phil was level 25 trying to fight a level 35 final boss that does absolutely retarded amounts of damage.  But yeah.. I had trouble too though; if my next strat/idea doesn't work out then I'm heading back into one of the districts to go on a feeding frenzy to get stronger.

  14. Well sure.... I watched American Idol for some seasons...but for some probably obvious reasons:

    1. FINE ass girls on there every season... and I had a thing for Paula Abdul for many years....then in later years they had Jennifer Lopez on there; another legend....then Carla Diaguardi, however ya spell that.  There is smoking hot ass on every season.

    2. The bad singers and performers -- this provided comedic gold for years, man....besides the performances themselves, an extra layer of hilarity was in the reactions of the judges... it especially cracked me up when Randy Jackson would get this scowl on his face like he's truly disgusted by what he's hearing....like "how dare you come in here sounding like that..."  Then there would be other times when he's holding up a sheet of paper over his face struggling not to laugh at someone.  That shit was gold, man.

I watched some of the first season of The Voice only because Christina Aguilera was on there... but that wasn't quite enough to keep me watching though....there was also a lot of other stuff on tv at that time so I never came back to that one.

  15. VAMPYR--- heh, sheeeeeit, so the bloodlust was just too strong to resist... just fed on and killed a priest, man.... I got 5,000 exp for that bastard....hell yeah, man.  I'm level 29 now....sadly it appears I'm close to the end though.  Yeah my version of "Dr. Reid" is pretty damn godlike at this point, though certain enemy combinations can still be a tough fight.

Quick advise on powers/abilities--- don't get "Blood Barrier"...maybe it's better fully leveled up but the level 1 version of this is so lame it's definitely not worth the points....it last for 5 seconds but only blocks 1 hit.

  16. damn this is an unfortunate dilemma.... so Almighty Tevin has another stream going of Phil's stream, so we can all laugh at him once again live.... but Phil happens to be playing my game Vampyr right now...and he's further in the game that I am.  Sooooo of course I'd like to watch this but not at the cost of being spoiled for that game.

On another note---the latest from the cleaning lady at work--she said she found a condom once again on the 2nd floor.  haha we have such "interesting" people on that 2nd floor, man.

  17. Unfortunately, but understandably... the trailer for Gears 5 spoiled a little of what happened at the end of 4.  I found out from my friend that's always slow as Christmas about playing thru games that he did NOT watch that trailer, fortunately.... but he's STILL dragging his feet on that....well that's what he gets for being the "family man" like so many SF2 characters on the lose screen.  This is the same friend that still hasn't finished the story of Diablo 3!  D3 is actually 6 years old at this point, man....and of course he never took a character to level 70 either....he loves Destiny but probably never finished that either.  Actually I don't recall him finishing any recent games despite owning them.... he never got to the end of Borderlands Pre-Sequel either, among other things.  Anyway, that final scene in Gears 4 was quite the jaw dropper now that I'm remembering it again....and the other scene a little before that was an emotional one.....still not on the level of Dom finding his wife in part 2 though... that's still the saddest shit I've ever seen in a game, man.  They really went for the emotional punch to the gut there.....everything appears to be all find and dandy when he finds her....then you realize things are definitely NOT fine at all.... and of course Dom was never the same after that.

  18. ^I had a love/hate relationship with (modern) Ninja Gaiden 2... never had the Sigma versions; just the original on 360.... it was fun, but at a certain point the game just becomes a straight up asshole about everything...sometimes it got past the point of gamer-rage inducing moments...and the level of bullshit was just hilarious.  On the normal "Warrior" difficulty setting it was more than reasonable though.

Vampyr-- well, I made it to a point in the story where I could have turned someone....for various reasons I chose to just kill that person....ohoooo the way that played out was awesome...and satisfying.  The consequences of this decision have been severe to say the least though...shit has seriously hit the fan over that. ....on my way back to Pembroke Hospital, I ran into a certain citizen that has been "missing" for a long time; and they were turned!  There was no more discussion that could be had... I had no choice but to fight and eventually kill them.

  19. that damn "Lady Ashbury" from Vampyr is hot as HELL, man... it just hit me that she reminds me of Cassidy Freeman, who was "Tess" from Smallville.

    https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2336905/

*if she could mimic a Brit accent, she would be perfect for the part in a live-action Vampyr, imo.

*I'm still playing Wizard of Legend at work on a regular basis, though that game kicks my ass every single time... but finally I'm getting somewhere, since I've been trying out different spells....fishing around for whatever is top tier material, of course.

  20. Bloodstained looks interesting, but I really wish the gameplay was at a faster pace... every time I see it...it's like the characters and the action is kinda in slow motion.  It would be great if they put a bit more into the action there; even if it doesn't have big combos like a "stylish action" game.... I supposed we've been spoiled at this point---most things look like slow-motion gameplay when you've experienced the DMC, Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden franchises....and WHOAH it just hit me--- imagine a new STRIDER, produced in a similar style as Bayo or DMC?!  BRUH.  That's GOLD, man.  Sadly the people that hold the IP hostage probably cannot see the greatness (and likely decent/good sales) that would be.

*I might start my 2nd file of Vampyr sooner rather than later... there is a strong temptation to play as a more ruthless version of Dr. Reid.  The thing is, I imagine that would be generally much easier, since killing the citizens gives wayyyy more exp than anything else in the game...even completing a quest might give a few hundred points or so---but you can get thousands exp per citizen you feed on..... they really made it into an interesting dilemma there...because the more you kill, the worse the area becomes, and it locks out certain parts of story of course since that person is now dead, and their death would naturally affect the people in that social circle.

yeah, I've become quite obsessed with this game... I've even been taking notes of pretty much everything that happens in terms of the lore and storylines.  I'm up to 28 hours played so far; still in chapter 4 (*I think earlier I may have mentioned I was on 5 which was incorrect)

ah, these guys have an interesting vid on the game:
