My favourite Canadian rapper is Saukrates. This guy’s had a bit of a rocky career. Xzibit had him signed to Columbia for a bit, but then something fell through. Then he was signed to Def Jam and did a bunch of tracks with Redman but kinda disappeared. He also done some stuff with Common, Pharaoh Monch, Heltah Skeltah, Masta Ace, and some others. I’ll definitely post more stuff from him in the future, but this is probably my favourite track of his, it’s also one of his grittiest. His beats got a little more “bouncier” as he went on.

Though i’m half debating just making a custom variation and having some fun against you guys (if you’re playing customs), Kitana’s Fan-Fare is good for a tournament variation, but has a weak spot.... to be honest, i kinda see their logic. A lot of pro players play along to tiers. There arent too many that are character loyalists like a more causal fan would be, and with the amount of characters and variations, there is a counter-pick for whatever you’re struggling with, so it’s easy to have someone pick Jade’s 1st variation to counterpick your zoning (which is easy to lab against), rather than have them go and futz around with the custom abilities for whichever character. and yes Evil made it over.

No, he just said in an interview very simply that he’d like custom variations to be tournament legal, he think it’d be fun. I have seen on Twitter their lead UI guy, Daanish, acknowledge a tweet about drop down menus from the character select screen, but that was shortly after launch. I’m sure they know how they can do it, they just aren’t sure if they should... I do remember pre-launch, Boon stating that they wanted three tournament variations, saying that competitive players like regulation and they wanted to gibe those players less options to lab against, or something like that. though, with this year, it’s not like MK11 is a competitive hotspot... Yeah, there are a lot of online tournaments, but i think going ahead with customs with breath new life into the game.

Yeah, i don't know why there wasn't a quick drop down menu from the character select screen, and then showing your opponents chosen moves during the loading screen. That was my biggest problem with the game. I pre-ordered it and was lucky enough to get access to both the stress test and beta and loved the custom variations i made for Baraka and Jade. Then the game comes out and the moves i liked were split up between the two launch tournament variations, or not included at all... I was also hard-pressed on taking the game seriously so custom variations weren't an option for me. it also ruins my hype for a character trailer because i know i won't be able to do a lot of the stuff i see if I'm sticking with the tournament variations. A lot of the variations suck too, making the character feel incomplete. back in February, i think, Boon said he’d like to make them tournament legal. He thought it would really spruce the game up (which it absolutely would, the custom tournaments are very hype to watch), but with no news yet, i don't think its going to happen.

Lol, I’m like the whitest dude ever, and there’s been quite a few times where people have found out that I listen to rap (and know a lot about it), and would laugh and get shocked by it. They‘d say something along of the lines that I don’t look the type. Mind you, in every case, it’s been a skinny white dude, very clean cut, looking like they’re about to play golf or tennis lol... Maybe it’s because I’m pretty big and bearded and they figure I’d listen to country or something, but I always find it funny. truth be told, in high school, I was pretty serious about a rapping career. I was making my own beats in Fruity Loops (now FL Studio) and converted my closet into a recording booth. My boys and other rappers came by all the time to record shit (my mom hated that). I had a couple of problems though... My beats weren’t great (I had no music sense or ear at the time) and my voice was terrible. I think I had some decent lines though (Eminem “Infinite” influenced my lines and Method Man influenced my flow)... A big problem was this being super white thing though. I was purposely dressing in conventional hip hop looks of the late 90s/early 00s (baggy/low jeans, basketball jerseys, baseball caps to hide my stupid ass haircut, etc) and acted hard, walked with a swagger, lol, all kinds of stupid shit. No one gave me shit about being white and I was called on to do a few small local shows (from people who knew me through friends or whatever) and was received well, but I’ve always been way too concerned about what strangers thought of me that I put so much care into my image, that eventually I just hated how fake I was.

@Hecatom, No I don't think there’s a way to have it auto-refresh a page to show new posts. It would be a nice feature but i’m not sure how easy it can be done (or if the engine even allows for it).

Sounds good! It’d be great to play you again. Let me know when you’re free. I’m usually good in the evenings (though work has been killer lately so that doesn't always hold up). Also, if I remember correctly, I kept flip-flopping to find a main until I gave up and played something else lol. The problem was my heart was set on Kitana but she was kinda broken (in a bad way) at launch. They’ve patched her up a bit now though, so the flip-flopping is done.

@KingTubbi just checked and the only time you need L2 and R2 is the access your Kombat Kard (mostly to see in-game notifications and your stats) and the store (not just the PS4 store but the im-game store to unlock some items). you will need the PS4 touchpad button to record training dummies though. Honestly, with this game, there will be times you will want to use your controller anyway (like running around the krypt, or some of the single player challenge towers), so i keep a DS4 not too far away (depending on what I’m doing). You wont need it during any online matches though, or setting them up. You’re good with the buttons you have on your hitbox
