  1. Probably the community sperging out over nothing like usual.
  2. I picked MK11 back up the other night, finished story mode and went through the Character tower with Shang Tsung. Hes a character whose variations seem a little more "complete" to me, at least the Warlock and Soul Eater variations, can't speak for the other one. Kano's are close-ish but it seems to me like Vegemighty should be one of his regular moves rather than only for Dirtbag. This game is legit fun.
  3. I bought Vigil The Longest Night but haven't booted it up yet because apparently there are a lot of game breaking glitches in the game at the moment. Much as I've been looking forward to it, I'd rather hold off until it's playable. I might try the speedrun mode in Bloodstained to scratch my metroidvania itch for the moment. That said, I wish Castlevania Requiem were available on switch. I don't know that I'd play SotN & Rondo tons but it would be nice to have them without having to hack.
  4. When we were Jehovah's Witnesses, one of the other members of the group whose kids I played with ALWAYS had these and would give them to us. Like chalk with sugar in it.
  5. Candy corn tastes like those wax lips they used to have, i.e. shit tier candy. I think I'd rather have no candy then candy corn. Y'all got me shaking my head here..
  6. Same. I'll never get tired of people getting bent out of shape while being called girlymen 😂
  7. My last run, I tried to kill as many people as I could. Only thing is, if you kill too many people too soon, some of the higher embrace level ones die because the district will go to hell, so I think the move is to only kill a few and not sleep too much so the districts stay balanced out. I think I might do a pacifist run for my next time through as I've heard there are some interesting story things that happen if you embrace less than 3 or so people. That's going to be rough in terms of boss fights, though I absolutely destroyed most of them in this last run because of how OP I was after dining on the blood of fine citizens. 😂
  8. There is a browser version of it now. In WhatsApp's case it makes sense not to have a desktop version for security reasons. If you can access the messages from multiple places, it makes them less secure and security is/was one of WhatsApp's selling points. It's why apps like Signal don't have desktop access (that I'm aware of anyway.)
  9. I rarely if ever get on social media in general these days, but on the rare time when I need to get on FB, I feel like playing something to the effect of, "Just because you have a social media account doesn't mean you have to have a public opinion on everything" because it seems like everyone thinks their political opinions NEED to be heard.
  10. I play mine 99% handheld but even I wouldn't buy a Lite because the hybrid thing is still a major selling point even when you consider tabletop mode.
  11. It's almost like whoever is dropping them off is tacit saying, "Hey, could you throw this out for me?" There are some people who aren't really using the internet, so I'm sure SOMEONE is still using the Yellow pages. Gotta say though, there are a lot of areas where companies basically assume you have a smartphone and tailor the experience towards that without any real contingency for if you don't. I tried signing up for something recently and didn't want to use my phone, but there was really no way to complete the sign up without one.
  12. Based on that quote, Id have to stay this guy is on some DSP levels of bullshit. How do you legit not understand a console that lets you play the same games in several different settings? And nintendo has always just done their own thing which is something I appreciate about them. I love my PlayStation stuff, it's amazing gear, but it's an upgraded version of the same thing most of the time. You never know what Nintendo is going to come up with and that's part of what's so great about them.
  13. Anyone want.to give me a cliffs notes of the Pachter video so I don't have to watch it? The switch is basically the console I always wanted since I was a little kid. I always preferred hand helds because we only had one tv and so being able to play my consoles growing up wasn't always easy. And when we'd go on trips or out I'd have my GameBoy or one of those Tiger handheld games (still have a soft spot for those things), but being able to play the SAME games both handheld AND on tv?? Come on. I wanted one of those PSPs with the TV Out on it but never managed to get one, but this is even better. I can count on one hand the number of times I've played it docked since I got it for Christmas, but having that option is awesome.
  14. You guys will have to let me know what you think of the game, it's one of my favorites of this gen and it's one of those games you can play again and again and it'll never be the same twice. I'd say do your best not to look up hints and experience the game organically. The story is pretty great and it unfolds itself nicely if you don't spoil anything. Plus, the music and sound design are absolutely incredible. Play with headphones for at least a little bit and you'll see what I mean.
  15. Awesome. The scenery there is so beautiful it almost looks like photoshop if you've never seen anything like it (and I hadn't. My girl told me that people used to accuse her of retouching her pics of the place) We got a lot of beach time in, did some sailing, a lot of snorkeling, even did some parasailing. The food was also pretty great! Pate is one of my favorite things ever and I'd had gas station pate before but we ended up stopping at this little soul food shack on the main drag and having some there and it was incredible. It's a beautiful place, we'll be going back at some point for sure!
  16. I agree with you. Seems to me that streaming would be like free advertising so I don't understand trying to clamp down on it unless the game sucks and the company wants to snooker people into buying it before everyone finds that out.
  17. The US didn't install the ayatollah but it was US action that led to the people of Iran wanting him to be their leader while he was exiled. It's why I think Tulsi was onto something about stupid regime change wars, they're expensive, stupid, time consuming, and they 9.9/10 make things worse. How much better off would Iraq be right now if Saddam were still alive and in power rather than how it is now?
  18. I think a lot of stuff didn't directly profit, but having influence in a region Is what it's all about. We do stuff under the guise of "spreading democracy" or whatever happy horseshit they use to justify what the military, CIA, etc do, but anybody who isn't a total blue pilled mook knows what that really means and there's a lot of benefit for companies when the government does that.
  19. I guess you could argue from a legal standpoint that streaming a game is "broadcasting" but since actually playing it is a vital part of the experience I don't know how that would stand up. As someone who sells music, I don't ever worry about people using it for things since there are agencies like ASCAP & others that track that stuff. You can even hire a company to scour youtube and see if there's any of your music being used unauthorized and collect for it. Seems like game companies need something like that, the only problem is, getting YouTube to pay royalties is like pulling teeth, and so I imagine that if they started trying to do that with games, unless the platform was willing to pay up, or the companies went after the individual streamers, it could get messy.
  20. Thats how we got ahead. Nice guys really do finish last, or at least pay $8/gallon for gas because they don't fuck up oil rich countries to get the resources. Speaking of which, I just went thru security at the St Thomas airport and they had to pull my sleep machine out a run it thru the security machine again basically holding up the line. I had one guy at the Atlanta airport years ago pull my PSP out and ask what it was, and he was a young dude. When we went to Japan we had a guy in our tour group who worked for TSA and his job was to think up new ways of sneaking things through security and he told us (after a few drinks) that the test agents failed to pick up on his new tricks like 90+ percent of the time. Every time I go through airport security, I think, "Yep, the terrorists definitely won." And I'm typing this on airport wifi so I expect I'll be on a watchlist now for this post. 😤
  21. I would think that buying the game would be enough to allow someone the "license" to stream it, although given how ToS's are shaping up maybe that's not the case anymore. I can't speak for other games, but MK11 has a shitty ToS if you read it, and if it's not the norm, I imagine it might become such for big publishers.
  22. I've never been a part of a community where I have to explain to people why playing on wifi fucks up the experience for the other player if the connection is bad. One guy on reddit was complaining that everyone told him is connection was bad and he couldn't figure out why (wifi warrior.) Another guy was like, "Well why should I spend $10 for a cable when I can just play on wifi?" 😊🔫
