There are estrogen sensitive breast cancers where beer and a few other things are probably a bad idea to keep consuming once you have it.  But phytoestrogen isn't a risk factor for developing the cancer in the first place.

heh, I imagine the pacifist style in that game is a rough road with Dr. Reid being significantly weaker as a result; I'm curious now what the level and power difference exactly is then.  I know there is an achievement called "Not Even Once" or something like that, for never eating any of the named characters.   (I assume that in-combat bites probably don't count.)  I *might* go for that achievement some day, but I don't look forward to being a weaker version of the character... I suppose it just means to focus that much more on the top-tier picks then for whatever points you get by advancing the story.

It just hit me that if this were made into a live-action show, Tom Ellis has such a fitting look for the character.... too bad I already think of Tom more in a comedic context though, from his fame as "Lucifer" on the Fox/Netflix show. (*haha of course I could only imagine what the chumps that work in casting these days would do----they'd try and sell us Charles S. Dutton or Carl Weathers as Dr. Jonathan Reid.  Obviously Elisabeth would be played by a black woman as well since she's a redhead and we all know the rules concerning that.)

I should buy a Steam Deck. The PC is awkward to play on. I prefer handhelds all the way.

It is the reason why I don't drink alcohol outside special occasions.
Leaving aside that it damages your body, there are stuff that people don't know about like phytoestrogen and prolactin that increase the estrogen levels in your body, which after a prolonged amount of time causes health problems for both men and women outside the usual alcohol problems.

As usual, everything in excess is bad.

She's actually 22 years old. She had cancer and complications from it permanently stunned her growth when she was around 8 to 10 years old. A 26 year old male is dating her. I'm interested in watching more on this, as different and shocking as this is.

There are a bunch of chemical messengers in plant biology that are basically estrogen, but you really have to eat/drink a fuckton of them before they'd mess with you.  Like, if you're drinking that much beer phyto-estrogens are the least of your problems.

That said, I've never really been into beer either.  The only time I opt for beer is when I am drinking socially, but want to drink so slowly that I stay 100% sober.  Beer is generally distasteful enough that I can nurse one for an hour+ no problem.

There isn't enough estrogen in beer to matter, Bud Light makes you fat and kills yoyr liver, it's gonna make you female or anything lol.

I could write a dissertation on the subject. I would try a few different varieties- some stores let you buy by the bottle and you can put yourself together a nice little sampler. Try something like a porter- Sierra Nevada is a popular brand that started out as a small craft beer and helped launch the microbrewery phenomenon. That actually have some decent stuff. Their porter is good. Stone IPA was one of my favorites, but  IPA is an acquired taste. Very hoppy. If you were to try an IPA, I'd go with Dogfish Head 60 minute IPA. Living in VA, you should be able to find it since its brewed in Delaware.

Lagers are great too, especially imported. Try St. Pauli Girl- it's awesome.much lighter than porters and IPAs.

Maybe give a stout a try. Murphy's or Guinness.

Newcastle Brown Ale might be a good one to try, very easy on the pallet. Nice and malty.

Just a few of the top of my head.

I honestly wonder if Prince was on the spectrum. His musical brilliance and obsessiveness, and all the stories about how awkwardly he handled social situations, I wouldn't be surprised.

I wound up buying the PS4 version on sale and I imagine the game looks absolutely incredible compared to the Switch version I have been playing. I still need to do a pacifist run, but my last "kill everybody" run got screwed up and I missed a couple people so maybe I should redo that one too.

Micheal Jackson and Prince. Despite their larger than life personalities, talents and life styles. Where always described as down to earth people that were easy to talk to and get along with. By those who met them.

As well as their subject matter in their music. Micheal in particular with hits like "they don't care about is" "man in the mirror" etc.

I like nearly every kind of beer but ciders are too sweet and I also dislike IPAs.  I tend to drink microbrews because they taste better than the big brand beers IMO.

Edit: IPA drinkers are the most pretentious beer snobs in my experience.

Beer is good. Just don’t drink generic piss water beer that you can get at Walmarts like Heineken, Coors, Miller, etc.

I had to take a quick look up on this to check if its true and it actually is?  Did not know that most beers contain estrogen in them.  I never liked the taste of beer regardless.  Always thought it was gross.

back into the world of Vampyr since I have it on Steam Deck now....previously I only played a few minutes of this pc version.... I easily defeated the first "boss" character William Bishop and made it to Pembroke Hospital....heh, almost got killed by some level 7 skals while I was a mere level 3 though, but the shadow mist ability is so strong I was able to kill them once I got a solid hit with that.  This round will be more cutthroat again so of course I killed Clay right from the start to get that niiiice 500 xp, and I'm level 6 now with Coagulation, the Shadow Veil (eventually upgrading this to the version where you get bonus damage for attacking while invisible) and upgraded stamina.

Yeah I just got home from seeing the movie and letting it digest a bit but yeah...I thought this movie was pretty damn great.  My wife also enjoyed it and she doesn't even really play Mario but she is more aware of it from being around me.  My son had his eyes GLUED to the screen.  Watching him react to stuff on the screen was a treat!   He was getting scared for Luigi and cheered on for Mario.  It was adorable!  Makes me can't wait to see him react to Sonic 3 cause I know he's gonna pop off!

There was just so much to like about this movie.  I can kind of see how it can be a bit alienating for people who are not into Mario since the movie really does move fast.  They kinda establish the bros in Brooklyn and then within 15 minutes later they're whisked away to the Mushroom Kingdom.  It does feel like they could have fleshed out things a little bit more story wise but at the same time it's a Mario movie.  I actually like the fact that shit is just happening and just is because that's exactly how Mario has been since day 1.  I wanted to see the movie in Imax 3D to fully enjoy the visuals but they only had one showing in 3D and it was regular versus several 2D Imax showings so we just went with the 2D.  Still great seeing this world realized like it was though.  I'm going to go see it again Sunday with some friends.

Just got back from Super Mario Brothers movie.  I thought it was FANTASTIC. There are so many damn little easter eggs in the movie too. I am sure I missed a bunch too. I don't know how one could be a Mario/Nintendo fan and NOT enjoy the movie. Visuals were incredible and it just had so many fun tie ins to the game. My favorite part was the whole Mario Kart part, from the very start with the music to the very end. I feel like the movie never lets up once it starts too. It blew by.

I am curious now to read up on why people disliked the movie.
