We are just shy of 50 users now. We have a lot of people from SRK, but they don't post here often yet. They probably want to wait and see what happens to old SRK before deciding to move over here. I'm in the SRK GD Discord and most people there know about this place already/have accounts. I don't know about people in the other Discord channels. Just sit back and relax for now. I'm keeping this place running for the forseeable future, so there's plenty of time for things to grow, with or without old SRK peeps. :smile:

So I'm THIS close to buying a Neo Geo MVS. I've been watching youtube vids of every Neo Geo game in anticipation for when I start my collection. What am I about to do. Someone please help.

No, it's not the best game ever. Info on how to do the Makoto stun combo: And taken from the Makoto SRK wiki page: "Akuma and Remy, having the shortest stun bars, have one of the easiest 100% stun combos in the game (the "fukiage, hp" follow-up to the super). Given their weak staminas (and therefore extra damage after the stun), this is why SAII is nearly always recommended for those two. Makoto actually has 100% stuns on everyone except the 5 characters with the longest stun bar (Alex, Q, Hugo, Oro, and Dudley), but they involve either two uppercuts after the super, kara-uppercutting either the first or second one. The timing on the second uppercut is very strict, and those 100%s are much more difficult to execute consistently. There is also character-specificity in which kara-uppercut to do. However, you can still get 80-85% stuns on those characters with the same combo than 100% stuns Akuma and Remy, so it's still an extremely worthwhile super."

Wow that programmable stick has some nice parts inside! If it wasn't so busy looking and the joystick wasn't so far to the left I'd definitely pick one up.

Every time I see old Transformers/Battletech I feel weird. I'm a big Macross fan so I recognize where stuff is taken from. The original designs stolen from 80s anime are often better than the modern 'replacements' too. =/

I haven't seen a single one yet. They seem kinda corny to me. Am I wrong?

Lots of minor changes lately. Groove around the joystick was getting dust and other particles stuck in it, so I covered the entire area around the joystick in carbon fiber vinyl. Also modified the joystick with a JLF octogate, tighter spring, and bat top to better mimic Korean sticks. Weighed down the chassis using ziploc bags filled with coins. The inside of this thing is so packed that I don't think there's room for any more modifications. It's solid, heavy, and does what I need it to. Easily the best stick I've ever built. <3

That's a clean mod job. Getting harder to resist buying a PC Engine now... How is the CD-ROM drive on the Duo? I heard PC Engine CD-ROM drives die really easily.

Heh. Have fun with that -- I personally never enjoyed using dual GPUs. Support for them has never been as good as I would have liked. A 980 is a great card on its own though! Red LEDs were invented first, so they use less power and come from a time when LED tech wasn't as good as it is now. Blue is the new hotness. The blinding new hotness.
