  1. He would have been perfect in Tekken...
  2. Here's the Rockman/Megaman X soundtrack redone using the Mega Drive/Genesis soundchip. It's pretty sweet:
  3. Nah, in Brooklyn the storm didn't do much of anything...I was re-arranging furniture and accidently sheared the fiber optic cable that comes in through my window. Tried calling Verizon to have them send a repair man, but because of the storm they're overloaded and won't even let you talk to a real person. Kept getting automated messages telling me to fix it myself... I'll just hang at my family's place for a while until I can get Verizon to send someone over.
  4. It'll take some time I imagine. I started the site in late January and for a while the main posters were just me, @Darc_Requiem, @DarkSakul, @Reiraku, and @DangerousJ . We hovered around 40 (mostly inactive) members for a long time, but in the past week alone we've gained almost 40 new members. These things take time to build up but I'm sure we'll have a nice stream of activity going soon.
  5. I don't think about it. I get one when I need one. Sometimes it takes a few years, sometimes I switch sooner. Been rocking a Huawei Mate 8 for a while now. Fucking love this phone.
  6. Let's talk about my favorite anime of all time. I memorized the theme song to this when I was 5 years old: Bio Booster Armor Guyver Hero finds alien symbiote. Evil corporation that uses alien technology to create monsters hunts him down. Hero murders them. Violently. It's a good time all around. There was a 2006 remake series but it wasn't as good as the version I watched when I was a kid. Here's another one from my youth: Demon City Shinjuku Shinjuku has become a wasteland overrun by demons. The hero's father died trying to reclaim the city and now it's up to him to try to do the same. Sexy demon ladies and monsters everywhere. And here's one more: Wicked City The demon world and human world are colliding. Soon a treaty will be signed to guarantee peace between the two worlds -- but someone is trying to stop it. Now two agents from both the demon and human sides have to work together to kill anyone who gets in the way. This one is borderline hentai. Main character almost gets his dick cut off by a spider lady with a mouth for a vagina. She disguises herself as his girlfriend and only transforms when they're about to get it on. I was very confused watching this scene as 5-year-old kid. Only thing I cared about was how good the action scenes were.
  7. Internet is down at my place so I'm at my family's place a for a while. Once things are back to normal I'll start hitting you guys up for games.
  8. No limit, but trying to avoid clutter. If enough of you demand it I'll add it.
  9. I'm sure things will improve with time, but endless scrolling is one of Discourse's marquee features. It's unlikely that will change. You CAN however use the scrollbar to get through threads quicker if you like. Thanks for the kind words everyone! I've been working very hard these past few months to make sure the site is a pleasant place to hang out.
  10. 3/8/18: In the next few days we may be moving to INVISION COMMUNITY (Invision Power Board). I have already purchased the software and am experimenting with it right now. Some advantages: 1) Reactions/ranks built-in. No need for plugins which break every upgrade. 2) Share any post over social media 3) Room to grow (user blogs, paid subscriptions, etc.) 4) User profiles with more customization options I've already tested importing from Vanilla and everything works. If I can make the site look how I want we will be moving over to the new software soon. Look out for more updates. =) Edit: Gonna put this on hold for a little bit while we accept refugees from that other site. Once things settle down I'll revisit this.
  11. Main issue is that these days physical releases don't even come with a manual. You usually get one disc, 1 case, and a 1 page paper insert that doesn't even tell you how to play the game. In that case, what's the difference between digital and physical? Not a whole lot. Old games were fun because they came with all that cool stuff. New games don't come with shit anyway.
  12. Season 2 starts on April 23. Altered Carbon def worth it. Story isn't on the same level as Westworld, but it's a pretty interesting murder mystery set in a cool world. The premise made me think it was a Ghost in the Shell rip-off, but it's really pretty inventive.
  13. Heh I'm trying to avoid having too many reactions, so the +1 is fine. 😉
  14. Build a project box bar and mount it under your TV. It'll be like a sound bar, but instead of having speakers it'll have tons of ports to convert your stick. It'll be the ultimate docking station.
  15. Most of my games are on PC. Even in countries where new PC games still get physical releases, they're actually useless. It's often a box, the installer put on a bunch of DVDs, and a Steam activation code. You're basically just in it for something to place on a shelf + installer discs. Really quite a waste of time.
  16. The premise is that in the future, people build an old-western style theme park filled with androids. They are indistinguishable from people in every way -- they look like us, sound like us, and have emotions, dreams, and aspirations. The only problem is that they have no free will. They're like RPG NPCs, living every day in the same loop, giving out the same quests to guests, living their lives following pre-ordained 'storylines' written by park staff. Guests visit the park and do whatever they want. Every couple of days the park resets itself, and the androids are reset. No matter what horrible things are done to the android 'hosts', they are simply wiped and reset so that a new set of guests can have their way with them. It's a playground for the insanely wealthy with no morals or consequences. The show explores themes about what it means to be human. When does a machine stop being a machine and become a living thing? Can it be considered life when every choice you make is controlled by someone else? What happens when a machine that is just like a person finally slips free from its master's control? What happens when you wake up one day and realize you've been living the same day over and over again, everything that ever happens to you was set up by a writer, and no choice you've ever made was really your own? It's really thought provoking, has insane production values, and has some serious actors in it. I'd really give it a try if you get a chance.
  17. What I meant to ask was 'is it possible to create a breakout box that works with usb?' The controller is DB15, the breakout boxes to most retro consoles I imagine are also DB15. But is there a way to create one breakout box that would work on PC or more modern consoles? That way you'd have a truly universal solution.
  18. How does this work with USB? Can you wire the different USB cable strands to this connector?
  19. Yeah it's a Neo Geo cart that lets you load all your roms onto the SD card. Full compatibility and the console thinks it's a real game. No emulation. <3 Cool man what's your Steam ID?
