The Intel CPU listed is a 7th Gen. Their 13th Gen is launching shortly. The AMD CPU is the first generation of Ryzen. They've just launched it's 5th revision. I didn't post the recommended specs but the CPU and GPUs for the recommended specs launched over 3 years ago. The requirements aren't bad IMO. Even though I didn't get in. I don't agree. I'm sure they'll be at least one Open Beta before launch. A Closed Beta gives a more controlled environment to work out the kinks before stressing their servers with the load of an Open Beta. We've seen games launch and have their servers crumble under the player count, there is no way a game's first beta would fair better.

@DarkSakulWhat's hurt Intel is that they are launching late. IIRC, the original target date for Alchemist was this time last year. If this level of performance and pricing dropped in 2021, they would have had some leeway. Now crypto has crashed causing GPU pricing to tank. To compound their poor timing, Nvidia and AMD are about to drop their next gen cards. So instead of having the cheapest cards, with mid tier performance, and driver teething issues. They have cards that cost more than better performing Radeon cards, low end performance, and driver teething issues.

I'll keep it 100. If an article is from Polygon. I don't read it. I don't visit their site. They provide nothing of value to gaming. They're a hair above Kraptaku which is not a compliment they are just slightly less terrible.

@DarkSakulI watched the Hardware Unboxed review. I'll link it but the summary was basically if they were only competing with the 3060 ($370), given the cheaper price, it could be viable option. The cost savings, for some, could be worth the additional headache. However the 6650XT is cheaper and performs better on average. You can get a 6650Xt for $300. The 6600 can be had for $240.There is a reason Intel's slides did a value comparison against the 3060. Hell for an extra $20 you can get 6700XT instead of a 3060. Nvidia's low end GPU prices are a joke. One of their biggest at advantages at the high end is Raytracing performance. At the low end it's non issue Ray Tracing performance just sucks across the board.

And this game is getting a PS4 version!? It's going to probably look like the Switch version of MK11 if this is any indicator.
