While playing the story mode I was in disbelief that I was controlling Vega for the 3rd(!) time for the sole purpose of bodying Cammy again. This was the best material for her? Having Vega perv on her ad infinitum? What were the devs smoking? I still can't believe how bad the SFV story was and the truly bizarre decisions they made.

😆. Reads Cammy's Sf6 bio. "Distinguished herself in the operation against Shadaloo." Lol. This is just as bad as what they said about Chun's role in SFV. Did they not play the SFV story mode? They clearly didn't watch the same one we got.

Thanks. Next to Street Fighter, X-men is my other obsession. Storm and Chun Li are some of my favorite fictional characters of all time. When I saw the Storm gif on the web, I knew she had to be mine.

I was gonna write the same thing when that little nugget came out a few days ago but stopped myself. Jesus, the SFV story was just a damn mess! And am curious and concerned how the SF6 story is going to turn out. Especially given what Rose's SFV story hinted at for SF6. Doesn't sound like a recipe for anything coherent at all..... Here's hoping they can pull it off.

I kinda feel bad for Vicious cause he no doubt was probably excited and honored to do this. But it seems like the prevailing attitude towards the commentary feature is that it is just annoying as fuck. I could see it becoming meme fodder very soon. This is only day 1 of a flood of footage and it's already grating as hell listening to the commentary(although there were a few gems I'll admit). Oh well. He got paid. But yeah, definitely turning that off asap.

At first I didn't like it at all but it's kinda growing on me. I think it kinda fits Chuns new graceful state of mind thing they are trying to go for with the character. Sort of an esoteric higher consciousness vibe.

I laughed and loved how Capcom mentioned that Guile went home to be a family man but now he has a new mission.

I don't necessarily even just mean about getting some wins. Just more about them respecting the character. They have constantly infantilzed the character and treated her, pun intended, like some fragile China doll. It's mystifying why they don't want the character to appear somewhat tough and competent, or have any narrative relevance. I still can't believe how ANYONE at Capcom thought her treatment in 4(and especially 5) was anything but a disaster of epic proportions. How did that make it to the final stage? Chun Li did NOTHING to hinder Shadaloo in 4 or 5, they made her look supremely stupid, constantly had her needing rescuing, interrupted fights she was about to have literally about 6 times, allowed you to play as her only once(!) and handed the glory of dealing Shadaloos final blow to Rashid. I couldn't have written a worse story for her if I tried. The best thing they can do now is just let the character have some dignity on the sidelines since they fucked up her major story arc. And Cammy in 5? The less said the better......

I hope Capcom is able to salvage Chun and Cammy in this game. Their story and character treatment has been abysmal since SF4 and they've been crapping on them ever since.
