  1. Yeah Sunset Overdrive was a good time; I got that version of XB1 that came with it included. I wish the customization was more detailed though. It was close but slightly missing the mark of what I enjoy for customization. It was also one of the first games I saw that truly looked "next-gen" at the time.. like visuals that would not really be possible (while running well) on 360. *I started "Cult of the Lamb" yesterday for a few minutes; already acquired the first follower in my cult. You can choose their form and rename them upon "conversion" into your cult as well.
  2. Well that dream was something... I had a dream that a certain' hot actress I like was at a small gathering at the house I grew up in... but then she committed suicide in the backyard. At the time I was concerned with how this whole situation looks for me, of course... like I would be a prime suspect and thus there would be legal consequences about that. Man, I'd rather go back to dreams about having superhuman abilities, like the flying and Flash-level speed.
  3. yeah I'm a casual fan at best for Lord of the Rings... cool world and lore and all that; I enjoyed the movies... but goddamn it takes forever to watch those. I'll never watch them again for that reason. Odd how that works out though---I prefer a series, which is effectively a longer format for a story... I suppose it's just better when things are broken up into "episodes", as opposed to 1 movie stretching on forever....also, shows typically have a resolution to 1 plot/situation by the end of individual episodes while continuing to develop a major story arc in the background....that is a preferable format to me.
  4. Harry Potter is a franchise that showed up a bit too late for me... or rather I was born too early. If that became a big thing when I was about 9 or 10 then I would likely have been one of those super fans. On another note--- I got caught up finally with last week's episode (5) of Interview with The Vampire, and oh yeah it was a good one... the shit hit the fan big time at the end; things reached a boiling point in the dysfunctional relationship between Lestat, Louis and Claudia. They should have shown more of the actual fight though....most of the shots are Claudia's horrified reaction as the Lestat vs. Louis bout finally pops off....tearing up the house in the process.
  5. It must've been pretty damn cool to be a kid in 2020... I was just thinking about this again earlier today at random... remember, they were out for Spring Break when things were normal in the U.S. at least... but then it's like that vacation just never ended. I remember schools and everything else got shut down from that point on, and I don't think schools even re-opened at all until the fall of 2020. Imagine, you're off for spring break like normal... but your 1-week vacation from school gets extended suddenly from that until about August. Sheeeeeeiittttttttt.... I would've been in paradise enjoying that shit. It would've been gaming/tv/internet all day every day for months on end. I always found those kids that got bored of summer vacation time as being the true weirdos. School gets in the way of fun and good times. To be off from Spring to Fall?! BRUH. ...ha, imagine how many games got 100% completion by the younger gamers out there in 2020, since for a long time that year.... school was no longer in the way of their fun.
  6. D3 (on ps5)--- greater Rift 104 now... I hit one monster for 126 trillion. The ascension of my powerlevel just continues. The monsters have no chance against it. The "recommended" section just showed me this superhero ARPG I've never heard of; I like what I see so far...
  7. Diablo 3--- just beat GR 102 easily since I made a slight change to my Rathma build... I forgot about adding the "Fate's Vow" helm into the cube for a little more damage on the Army of the Dead ability... I also found a better amulet so that was another upgrade there. The payout this far into the greater rifts is so insane... 102 gave me 42 billion xp and 29 million gold. (my character currently sits on a fortune of 414 million gold)...and I just hit paragon level 700....that's more paragon levels that I even have in my "off-season" characters on Switch, actually, so this will be quite a bump when the current season ends. I still haven't even tried the new Trag'Oul set build yet....this Rathma build is goddamn incredible.
  8. I'm loving that Bleach is back in animated form... it takes me back to those good old days when this was the hot new thing, and I was eager to see each new episode as Ichigo and friends were running around in Soul Society..... and that was around 20 years ago(!!) now....how time flies... but yeah this final storyline from the manga was pretty awesome imo, so it's cool to finally see it in animation
  9. So I'll finally get around to some Bayonetta action later today... good thing I have some vacation time coming up so I'll have plenty of playtime then. Besides Bayo 3 there's also my current adventures in Diablo, I still have my Diablo 2 character to work on as well, but also now Textorcist, that latest TMNT game that came out a couple of months ago, V-Rising, Dead Cells, Elden Ring and now Bloodborne, etc. etc.... my usual stuff. I'd hate to support it BUT.... if in the future when Diablo 4 is out, and I see it for a special "on sale" price I may actually get it then... but I'm still of the opinion that if online-only games get my attention, and are supported *at all* it should never be for full price....y'know, maybe for 30 or 20 bucks but full price = nah. Let me actually have the goddamn game for real, able to play whenever I goddamn well please with or without a connection to company servers and I'm back on board. It's such a shame because I'm seeing more and more footage lately since people are in some private beta test or something for it, so there's some good details coming out about the game and how it plays. All they had to do was make it like a normal goddamn game like the good ol' days but nah... fewer and fewer companies (especially the big ones like Activision-Blizzard) want to go that route anymore.
  10. haha, I have never even seen the face of that voice actor before... so of course the moment I saw the profile pic, I already knew what the deal was, why he was exiting the role 🤣 Amazing how a certain side has things completely backwards these days when it comes to voice acting and live actors who are actually on screen....but this is the wacky Twilight Zone world we live in now, where we're supposed to pretend it all makes perfect sense.. I suppose Cree Summer wasn't supposed to voice probably half her giant list of voice credits in her legendary career then...*assuming* for a moment we're being equal and fair with applying that idea (even though that isn't the case though; I'm sure they'd agree that black/brown folks can voice whatever characters they are cast for; it is only others who have to stick to voicing characters they *match*, of course.) One of my favorite VAs of all time that wasn't a major character--- Paul Dobson from the old mid to late 90s dub of DBZ.... the "Aussie" sounding Zarbon, man.. that voice was GOLD. Anytime I've heard Zarbon after that and he doesn't have the Aussie Paul Dobson sound, it automatically registers as the "incorrect" Zarbon voice in my mind, and it is automatically not anywhere near as cool.
  11. Apparently Tommy Sotomayor is back, and live right now I'm sure he'll probably move to that Rumble streaming site, since from what I hear, content creators are a bit more free to say whatever on that platform. When I was keeping up with the Darrell Brooks coverage I noticed Nick Rekieta and some of his cohorts were usually streaming over there instead of youtube now. Random other note--- Dad continues to be a challenge to holiday-shop for... since he's not a major fan of shows and movies like most people are (so that would rule out things like tv or movie dvd collections and special editions; though he's a fan of George Carlin at least so I got him a George Carlin DVD collection last year)... and any tech-related stuff he already has anyway....and of course it's preferable to avoid "repeating" a gift idea, imo. This is one of the small reasons I don't really like Christmas time...just because holiday shopping is an annoyance to say the least.... and I'm one of the "lucky" ones that doesn't have a ton of people to shop for. I imagine it's far worse for people who have to shop for their parents and have several kids to get gifts for (*though with that, kids are usually easy to shop for...for most boys you just buy whatever latest game they're wanting or an eShop gift card or something and you're good to go just like that.) ...that's minor though; much worse is the prospect of being *obligated* to visit certain folks (friends of the family) I'd rather not visit, really. There's also the problem of just being in that wretched shit-pile "city" I always rant about, so there's that too. Whenever I'm back on the road to leave there it's always a huge relief.
  12. D3--- Greater Rift 99 done... a bit surprising considering my character's defense is definitely not up to par with the kind of damage the monsters in there were serving up. My "final service" passive was constantly getting activated (a "cheat death" ability, balanced out by a long cooldown), and anytime I got hit even once it was severe damage or a potential 1-shot if it weren't for the passive saving me. The payout for it at this level is 36 billion xp and 26 mil gold.... I'm paragon level 632 on this one (PS4 version)...it's looking like I may actually complete 100% of the challenges before this season is over on both Switch and PS5 now. *just barely got it but I finished GR 100 now....soooo much dodging and running away though, since the enemies in there hit like the goddamn Incredible Hulk.
  13. Ah c'mon... that shit is funny to laugh at... like when some dumb company in the gaming industry fucks up---like how Bethesda is a constant laughing stock because of their half-ass, barely functioning games. So we're to pretend that shit isn't hilarious to see unfold in real time? At least to me that shit is non-stop comedy to see how they're going to fuck up *this time* with whatever they have planned, and their predictable "You racist then"-kinda response to any criticism. It would be nice if it were an alternate universe where we actually had good stuff to look forward to though. Pardon me for actually being amused by the trash-fire going on constantly. 😆 There's almost no hope of actual, legitimately good content in most of what's being produced. For that we still have the older movies, games and shows, at least. Things that genuinely surprised me lately though, in a good way --- "Prey" and the new Hellraiser. See that's actual good shit right there; the people that worked on those remembered how to produce solid entertainment.
  14. Nah, not when the changes in question look wrong and/or just lame as fuck.... like imagine if they put up Margaret Cho as Storm, and some Lizzo-sized woman as Nightcrawler.... or now Wolverine's subplot is how he's realizing after 200 years of living that he's now a non-binary person so we have to devote some of the film's time to that instead of the usual "superhero shit" people actually want to see in these damn movies. Some changes are just dumb and will never go over well with the majority of an audience... and ultimately it's a stupid idea to consistently upset a large percentage of what would've been the fanbase.... like if I was making a Spawn movie, no I would not make Al Simmons a woman, or a random white dude for no reason other than possible agendas or to generate controversy-based word-of-mouth. That temporary gain is a bad plan if it just results in the movie being a box office bomb and the next laughing stock getting roasted on social media constantly. It's like with the costume changes but worse. I'd rather the characters in our beloved franchises still be recognizable when they have a new show or movie. That ship has sailed now, I no longer have any hope of it.... I'm mainly just looking forward to laughing about 1 big-budget dumpster fire after the next....at least they're giving me that little bit of unintended entertainment value. They'll keep upping the ante too, so there's all kinds of bizarre shit to look forward to in the near future.
  15. Wonderman is the latest "blackened" character, by the way...new show in the works for Disney.... of course I doubt many people ever gave a shit about that low-rank character in the first place.... surprising that the actor (Yahya Abdul-Mateen) even agreed to it but for them it's another fat paycheck to get. The real gold is when they announce who will be the new X-men actors though... that's going to be hilarious for so many reasons. Imagine if body-positivity were the main thing they were pushing and using for easy publicity--- you'd have movies with big sloppy fat guys playing heroes like Superman and Thor-----and those in favor would be arguing like "...well ACTUALLY it doesn't matter; Superman's god-level strength is due to his Kryptonian physiology and the yellow sun's effects on it, so technically he can be fat and still be Superman soooooo....." ---which would be exactly right, but if you have a guy that's built like E. Honda playing Superman it looks completely ridiculous, and most reasonable people would assume you're producing a comedy.
  16. So you can see 1 guy with his hand already on a gun like he was getting ready (either as the shooter or just a defensive "just in case" measure), and apparently he's a person of interest...
  17. D4 stuff... Such a shame that the 1 thing I hate more than anything else in gaming (forced online-only status) basically pisses all over the parade there....because everything else about it speaks to me as an instant buy, of course.
  18. Well, and there it is for the Parkland shooter... ....annnnd here we have yet another fine ass judge presiding in a high-profile case... hopefully that continues to be a trend we see more often.
  19. I had to look her up and she's not a good pick ...this girl looks more like a dude in most of the pictures I'm seeing....but making matters worse is all the tattoos she has...doesn't even look like she's straight, tbh....in some pics she's looking like she could be DJ Envy's little brother. So far from what I'm seeing she's about a 2 out of 10 in my rankings, that dude can definitely keep that one to himself. I wonder what happened with that twerkin' state senator Tiara Mack? I haven't heard any news about her in quite a while. It's funny how the bar keeps being lowered further and further over the years when it comes to public officials. It's surprising anyone has any high expectations of these people in modern times at this point....that ship sailed a long time ago, really. I look forward to whoever will be the first female politician proudly wearing her raggedy ass bonnet in public, perhaps on a "vote for me 'cause I keeps it real!!!" ad. You know this will be very soon... it's inevitable.
  20. There's an app/channel on my tv showing quite a few good ones lately....currently it's showing Alligator 2 which I didn't even know existed until now... it stars Dee Wallace, that niiiiice blondie from The Howling. There's a dude in this movie with the name "Joseph Balogna" and yeah that name gets a cheap laugh out of me....the guy could be called "Joey Baloney"....heh, I might make a mii character from that idea, actually... ...sure would be nice if work could go back to being mostly laid back like it was prior to the pandemic. I'll have to wake up and get started super early tomorrow just to even have a *chance* at getting a certain task done in time...since it's tough to get said task done earlier than "last minute" due to the endless amount of other things going on at any given second....as we deal with a system that is the worst, slowest, most trolling piece of shit in the history of computer software/applications. ohhh but Ghostbusters 2 is on AMC right now...I haven't seen this since it was new at theaters. Annie Potts as "Jeanine" was the real hotness of the Ghostbusters franchise. I had a thing for her for quite some time... I even occasionally watched that show "Designing Women" just because she was on there.
