  1. Well, on a random hunt for Phantasy Star content I noticed this vid that covers at least *some* of the fuck-ups that has plagued this franchise since it is unfortunately owned and run by "That Company": ...still cracks me up that last thing to happen that I found amusing....the fact that it took them about 7 or 8 years to officially bring the game to the western markets. 😆 Ridiculous. Oh I gave up hope a LONG time before that already. The actual gameplay looked decent to me... just too bad it's an MMO and they waited that goddamn long to release it officially in North America. One nitpick that always irked me with this fanbase though----no one ever seemed to care about the lore of it all....the actual worlds and universe of Phantasy Star. Any and all discussion about it, the various fan pages and forums online over the years, any kind of write-ups on the enemies and bosses... it's all *just* charts and stats... the technical aspects of everything....no one was apparently interested in the concept or any kind of story concerning Dark Falz or cool enemies like Chaos Sorcerer, Del Sabers, "SEED" lifeforms in PSU era, etc. etc. (Chaos and Gran Sorcerers were my favorite enemies) It's all just -- "This enemy does 2 attacks then jumps backwards, then leaps forward. It is weak to fire damage." or a wiki page might just describe an enemies elemental weakness and where it is located...nothing more. ---shit like that instead of any kind of lore, like you'd see with damn near any other game in existence, especially RPGs. In fact, if that company ever continues the franchise they may as well just not bother with writing a story at all, since 99% of the fanbase doesn't care.
  2. yeah, I knew of a "Chastity"(spelled differently of course) and she was about as loose and easy as one can expect of a typical hoodrat stereotype. She was pregnant before high school... I think it was 8th grade, actually. She was also one of those sad cases that peaked early in life in terms of looks. She was already over the hill with declining looks by 10th or 11th grade....I'm sure that the fact of having a kid already doesn't help matters there; typically the teen moms start to look "old" super-fast in life.... a real shame there. She wasn't as severe a case as this other girl I'll abbreviate as "N" though (*her name is incredibly "unique" as per usual with hoodrats)... she also had a kid before high school. By 11th and 12th grade, she already had that "middle aged mom" look going on. She was actually better looking than "Chastity", I thought... kinda like a mini-version of Vanessa Williams but with a short hairstyle. ...some more Debbie Downer shit while I reminisce on old times--- the older students when I was in junior high going to high school looked so much better than my generation when we got to be the "upper class" students... it was quite noticeable to me, at least. The seniors when I was in 8th and 9th grade actually looked like adults already...those girls were HOT....girls walking around looking like Halle Berry, Nicole Ari Parker, Toni Braxton... or the girls from "A Different World", etc. My school even had a bit of a reputation for having some of the finest girls... but I guess it was on a downward trend, with each new class not looking as good as the previous one. With my class as the seniors----the % of girls that looked good was way down; it was a tragedy what happened there.... good thing college/university would truly be "A Different World" though... the women on campus there were on a new level and it was insane.
  3. So I went down the rabbit hole too with this video about Tommy and the "oof" sound.... yeah this is quality stuff here; the guy that did the video may have just earned a new fan today. I had forgotten that Messiah game until this---I remember seeing the ads for it in magazines at that time, but of course I never got to play it since I think it was PC only....I think it *may* have been rumored to come to Dreamcast but of course that never ended up happening. The concept of that game was immediately interesting to me. Oh look at what we have here... an Elden Ring board game now?! I might be interested in this just for those cool figurines. I'd love to have a good figurine of the Godskin Apostle, Noble, Margot & Margit, Radagon, Rennala....sheeeeit, it's safe to say I want ALL of them.
  4. also remember that some people piss in the shower/bathtub... there may also be little fragments of shit in there, in addition to the mold and mildew... bits of dead skin and dirt from their body. Current movie on the mst3k marathon is a newer episode---Santo in the Treasure of Dracula https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0208504/ I've never seen this one....yeah, the hero "El Santo" has to deal with Dracula; time travel is involved too.
  5. Oh, so Avatar 2 comes out very soon. It should be interesting to see what happens there... but no way in the world it will meet those expectations. I never had an interest in the first one; it's only the cool visuals that stood out to me. *man, I'm watching this mst3k marathon still---that new voice they have for Crow is NOT going over well with the fans I see in chat so far...I'd agree it sounds odd and thus "wrong". They aren't actually showing new episodes on this; you hear the new Crow, Tom and Joel in some segments between each movie. *a bit annoying---I want to stay with this marathon, but since it's Thursday, the Chicago PD marathon is also on right now, and it's season 9 which is new to me....yep, this is a tough choice.
  6. In more important news--- the MST3k marathon is live now, folks:
  7. Ok yeah that makes sense---the agenda is indeed to make money---but the way they are going about it lately is just not producing the results some of us would like to see. It's producing stuff that is little more than something to laugh at from the sidelines, imo. As mentioned before, I'm genuinely surprised when something from these companies ends up being good at this point. Nothing beyond Avengers Endgame is standing out as anything I'd pay even 1 penny to see, tbh (*on the Marvel side; with DC, Black Adam was an enjoyable one with actual cool shit going on).....maybe the exception of Werewolf by Night; that one looks potentially cool. They at least are not quite as heavy-handed as the CW....I'm not sure how one could claim it's anything else when you have characters like Superman going out of his way to say lines like "Wow, Kara....you're just... so much better than me.", after he gets "tired" from using heat vision before she does.... or how in Legacies one of the lame ass vamps just out of the blue blurts out "...but I'm a feminist, soooo..."---like the shows are constantly trying to preach something to you. It's odd to me that some of you guys clearly just don't find this topic as amusing as I do. I'm already looking forward to whatever they do to the X-men soon....it's sure to be a scream 😆 It's similar to how I enjoy laughing it up about whatever Bethesda's next embarrassing pile of half-working shit will be. sidenote---I forgot that Lightyear was even made; seemed like another dud with nothing particularly interesting about it.
  8. y'know, I miss that "Marvel Heroes" mmo that was out a few years ago; it was fun... despite being unfortunately in that genre. If it was a normal game with an offline mode, this could still be played today. On PC I had Loki, which was the only newer (non-default) character I had unlocked. It later came to the consoles fortunately, but didn't last long after that.... if I recall it was another case of Disney pulling the funding, so they had no choice but to close the game servers... and of course with an online-only thing, that kills it. It's good to see a video on "Lost Soul Aside", confirming that it's still in the works at least. This is bought day 1, easy: ha, I admire the casual delivery of the venom this guy posted about D4 here I'd still be so much more into it if they just made the damn thing like a normal game....y'know....functional offline. It's tragic that "offline play" is now an unexpected (and unlikely) feature in major games these days.
  9. Oh yeah, this girl is another good one to keep tabs on
  10. It's live right now; he was just getting the show started when I posted...... I see where he's going with this; he referenced this recent interview https://boundingintocomics.com/2022/11/21/marvel-studios-producer-considers-it-a-red-flag-if-prospective-writers-are-fans-of-original-comics-prefers-to-hire-someone-whos-out-of-the-culture/ ...where Marvel producer Nate Moore would prefer writers that are NOT fans of the original material. I get the motivation behind that line of thinking... but of course there is always the possibility that the result is crap that turns off too much of an audience. With fans of comic characters we all know that chance of turning them off is high. There's only so many things you can change around before an increasing # of fans are out like "...nah it's a no for me, dawg." That gets you into situations where a white woman is cast as "The Ancient One" for whatever silly ass reason.....but apparently I guess that kind of absurdity is indeed what people like these days, so whatever. (*I should not be surprised since "mumble rap" nonsense was also a popular, successful thing...along with "pet rocks" back in the day and jheri curl hairstyles. There's a lot of shit I find to be completely awful that was quite successful.)
  11. ah, late night AM... should be a good one News cycle is moving a bit fast lately... looks like the Shanquella story will fade away since there was the 4 students that got stabbed in Idaho, and now a shooting at that lgbtq club in Colorado, and of course the media tends to just keep focus on 1 or 2 stories at a time. *it's a bit annoying that Black Friday is a thing... it means I have to of course avoid going to the store at all cost because I hate any "crowded store" situation with the most intense passion.
  12. Well that was odd... I fell asleep for what seemed like a long time, so for a while I was thinking it's already the early morning hours of Wednesday....even got a bowl of "breakfast" cereal ready to go. I didn't notice until checking youtube and noticing a notification for an upcoming video that still had the date of 11/22....surreal moment there when for a moment I was thinking ---"...but that's yesterday....???" Anyway, apparently they have a new writer/director for the future Blade film as they try to save it... It will be hilarious (and deliciously embarrassing for Disney/Marvel) if Mahershala Ali eventually gets fed up and just leaves the project.
  13. damn, Minister Jap and other channels got some new juicy dirt to talk about today.... August Alsina apparently plays for the other team?! man that raises some questions there....anyway, yeah some of youtube today is like the modern-era of National Enquirer tabloid shit....and I will admit to loving every damn trashy minute of it. edit---well technical difficulties at the moment...he'll be back; AM has a vid on it from last night as well; I haven't seen that one yet. new link
  14. Another incredible episode as usual... it's so good to see this anime come back strong for this story... It surprised me that they showed so much of that flashback to 1000 (or 2000?) years ago... and in at least 1 character's case it's a bit of a spoiler for a big reveal about what their role/position was back then, compared to what it is in present day.... maybe they figured people might not recognize who that is since they do look different now...?
  15. Hell yeah I beat that "Boss Mode" conquest in Diablo 3 just now... and easily on the first attempt with my Crusader... the build isn't even fully optimized and I got it with 2 minutes to spare. (beat almost all the bosses within 20 minutes of starting a game). I'm doing this challenge with Crusader from now on because that fast "Steed Charge" ability is just too good....you get huge movement speed, and with certain builds you always have that ability ready to go again and again. Last time, which was the first time I beat this conquest to complete the entire season of challenges, I used a Demon Hunter... fairly easy but it was closer to the time limit than with my Crusader. I figure the Witch Doctor is likely a prime candidate as well since he and the Monk are actually the fastest characters if I recall. I had a stop watch app close by to see how I was doing on the time limit. ...so now I have the cool zombie doggy pet and character portrait reward.
  16. Quite a few sales to think about for me lately... on PSN there's Miles Morales Spiderman = 20 bucks, and Alienation being 4.99 until 11/29. Weird West is also on sale for 20 bucks but there's a nitpick getting in the way there---I don't like that due to the story, you are forced to play certain characters from what I see. Even though you eventually play through all of them, I always like having a choice of which character I want to play. If it weren't for that, this game would've been a sure thing for me, easily. ...kind of reminds me of the one main complaint I and a friend had about the first iteration of Phantasy Star Universe... in story mode, you are forced to play as Ethan Waber instead of your custom character... at least for the first half of the story. Heh, I don't think any of the fans liked this detail of the game, because most agreed that Ethan was lame.... haha nobody wanted to be that guy. Diablo 3---back at it today; I tried the new Trag'Oul set and it's good though my build for that isn't fully optimized just yet. My Rathma Army of Dead build is pretty much perfected at this point so my necro is godmode now....GR90s are "easy" at this point, and I just finished a GR111 for the first time; the payout on that was 65 billion xp, 38 mil gold....and I'm up to paragon 801 now..... ...ha, on another run....just hit one monster for 160 trillion damage 😆 the damage is just disgusting.
  17. sheeeitttt, mental note for later on this one... I'd like to get one of those...
  18. That time Tommy still fought back against Goldar....with NO powers. Oh and here's ANOTHER mirror-match I wasn't aware of; found it while searching for the time he fought himself in Dino Thunder... this happened later
  19. yeah I was hoping that was fake... "Tommy Oliver" was the greatest Ranger in the franchise. Everyone in the fandom, at least from my generation remembers the original Morphin' era where that dude routinely soloed the original team of Rangers when he was a bad guy....especially that one scene where he took over the megazord and kicked that whole team out of it....or when the Red Ranger kept trying to blast him but he just played his dagger like a flute to bounce all the shots right back in his face. Much later when he came back for Dino Thunder, he defeated a giant monster by himself; no zord/megazord or special powerup like "Battlelizer" either. Tommy Oliver was a game-breaker, man.
  20. cheh, my advice might be to stop having any kind of high expectations for most people....and don't be so trusting. Most people are trash and you are correct to look down on them. On another note, that Shanquella story is making the rounds lately on youtube; I finally checked out the footage tmz has out of curiosity and on yeah... vicious beatdown on that girl... https://www.tmz.com/watch/2022-11-17-111722-shanquella-fight-1519324-859/ The stupid thing is that wasn't the initial lie that she died of alcohol poisoning? How in the world would someone think that would pass even the slightest bit of scrutiny? You beat that girl to death, but run with the story of "eh... alcohol poisoning... yeah that's what happened." C'mon now...even a half-awake forensics person will see through that bullshit within 10 seconds of glancing at the body. At least come up with a lie that's someone in line with the reality of her injuries. *edit---heh, of course Tommy had a stream on it https://rumble.com/v1v0erq-11.16.22-shanquella-robinson-live-stream-w-tommy-sotomayor.html *edit--it gets even more grimy, btw.... apparently they also did some spending with her stolen cards later. Imagine, you go on a trip with friends, but they end up killing you, lying about it and user your cards to buy some things later. So, there's this and that stabbing of the 4 college students in Idaho that I heard about for "random stories" the news is focused on recently... we all know the likely suspect of the stabbing one---it's probably a friendzoned Elliot Rodger type of guy, mad because he couldn't get with 1 or more of those girls in the crew. It's fun trying to predict where the story goes on these.
  21. It looks like Bethesda was secretly helping them out... I'm loving all these clips of how fucked up that Pokemon game is. Diablo 2 is currently on sale on eShop for 20... also, Speedrunners is super-cheap as well. Aragami 1 and 2, and Bioshock (7 or 8 bucks) are also on sale as well, along with many others since it's *that* time of year again. Over on PSN I saw that Metal Hellsinger is on sale too....and the Miles Morales Spiderman; soooo I have quite a bit of interesting things to pick from in terms of new sales... Surprisingly, Atari 50 has a physical version for Switch; I wasn't expecting that...so if I get it then yeah I'm getting that version. One of the reasons I'd get it is this one game "Solaris", which was my absolute favorite game from the 2600. I think the predecessor, Star Raiders was so cool....but Solaris was even better. I'm also interested by the fact they also have games from the 5200 and 7800.
  22. sheeeitttt, that reminded me of how surprising it was to see at least 3 people I know on my friend list that got Fallout 76....well, 1 of them was no surprise because he just has notoriously bad taste , but with the others it was shocking that they spent any money on that at all. Even if someone is a fan of Fallout, what about F76 was standing out as appealing? In the beginning, that game looked like trash in every conceivable way... like I would not waste 2 cents on it. ha, I would not even play that game for free. ...so I finally started Bayonetta 3; I just played the prologue part so far, and as usual with this franchise, it started off with some incredible action....it pleases me so much to see all these characters once again, and all the insane, over the top action that goes with them. It's been a while since I played either of the first 2 games so of course my skills were terribly rusty to say the least.
