To be honest I think this is the best animated NRS game yet. There seems to be a lot less of those obvious looking mocapped animations (y'know, the ones that look like the characters are punching from inside a constrictive invisible box) and I think for the first time there are some animations that actually look really good!
 
One that came to mind is Sindel's fireball where she flips backwards while her hair flings a projectile forward using her backward momentum. I watched that part of the Sindel Kombat Kast a few times because it legitimately looked very cool. The characters just seem to transition better into different moves so it looks less jank. Obviously there are still some NRSisms still around but overall I think the animations as a whole have improved a lot.

So I’ve been more interested in MK1 than any other NetherRealm release. I’m curious about your opinions on the animations for the Kombatants. Since MK4, the series has had a significant amount of jank. This new one though is not as crispy as SF6  (think Ken’s free flowing Jinrai Axe Kick vs Johnny Cage’s stiff rising kick) but as a martial arts guy, overall I’m impressed by the animation quality and transition between moves. So yeah, what y’all think??

Fox was cute in Two and 1/2 Men, but shortly after she started a race with our planet's oceans to see who can accumulate the most plastic in the shortest amount of time.

She is considerably less attractive since plastic surgery. I don't get why these actresses keep jacking their faces up. Jennifer Love Hewitt looks weird now. It's like they all want to look like the villains from Star Trek Insurrection

It’s pretty much the same as her last outings. I’m surprised they kept the vampire realm.

I know others have mentioned it, but I think it's cool that even after 17 years away and two time line resets. Nitara and Ashrah still have beef. They on some 50 Cent shit 😂

I'm going to call Nitara in MK1 Jennifer's Body 2.
 
But I do really appreciate that Nitara looks pretty different amongst the other females in the game, for some reason all the other ladies are wearing bodysuits and that's kinda boring. And I'm pretty sure I saw her triangle jump wtf

@JocelotWhat's even cooler about the Jen reference is that she dies in like the first episode of Mortal Kombat Conquest IIRC. So that even adds to how cool the reference is. It implies that Nitara dugup her body and took it.

I think the worst part is that they went from her obviously superior, gigachad voice actress in MKX (Tricia Helfer) to Rhonda just for the sake of pulling a celebrity. No offense to Rhonda but that's a big downgrade since Tricia was in the game for so long.

While I’m not too excited at having celebrities play established characters, Fox sounds much better as Nitara than Rousey was Sonya. The latter actually ruined the character in that game and the fact we had to hear her in the story was dreadful. 

I didn't catch it even though I watched the show back in the day. But the "Jen" reference between Nitara and Kung Lao is a double reference. Everyone picked up on the "Jennifer's Body" movie reference but almost everyone missed the Mortal Kombat Conquest one. Kung Lao's love interest in MKC was also called Jen.

I gotta say after watching World Warrior Japan top 8 I don't like how people stopped talking about Dee jay. Ken and JP are public enemy #1 and 2, sure, but Dee jay is just creeping around the corner, biding his time and that concerns me.
 
Rashid too. All the Rashid mains stopped posting tech on twitter about a week into his launch.  Now I know why, they were cooking cuz we got guys like Gachikun putting round start tornados on screen and putting people into Killer Instinct combos until they die.

I wouldn't go that far. Fox is an actual actress. That alone makes her better than Rousey.

SFL Japan has Dee Jay all over the place.  He's tied with JP and Luke for most played.  He's definitely hiding in the shadows of JP and Ken - think there's a chance he could avoid the nerf bat and emerge as top 1.
