VGM Friday: Sludge life, baby.

Maybe that's how it came to me. Nice! Hope I don't have to jump around a shitty lobby to use it, but that's really exciting

I just thought of a mode that I want in every fighting game: Custom Trials mode. It's essentially just training mode, but you can create your own trials. Do do your combo and you can select the start point and end point on your input log. Then, you can upload them, other people can play them and rank them according to difficulty, there'd also be a "thumbs up" option that you can give for whatever reason (it's a useful BnB, great for certain situations, fun to do, etc.) and you can add community tags. Then people can search by difficulty, tags, or number of thumbs up, and by character. I have no clue if any game does this already, but I want it real bad.

Good point, I should just be a park monster. Cause breaking a set because someone moves a floor is the worst. I'm a man of principles and always plays a set, no matter what. It's basic etiquette. Win quitters and rage quitters are baby losers and I hope the socks they put on this morning are too tight. And if they aren't wearing socks, I hope they forget to put on deodorant and realize around lunch and are really embarrassed

Yeah, this was my approximate reaction when I had to do it for the third time last night: Then played one match, BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF THEM, and the game soft locked. At that point I'm determined to finish mission mode before I move on to fighting randoms. Also, mission mode low key just a tutorial in a similar vein to Skullgirls or UNI, just a lot better.

HOLY SHIT Now we can get a legit MS lobby going. edit: This is also great cause it means this game is getting support, so netcode improvements could actually happen

There's too many games. I really like VF5US, but strive just dropped yesterday, so I've got two FGs to juggle. Then, I just started playing Disco Elysium with my wife, and she's really into it. And I've heard that game can be loooooong. And as the tripple cherry topper, I'm in the middle of my 2nd playthrough of RE8, a run of RE4, and I just picked up sludge life last night cause I have bad impulse buying tendencies. Sludge life is great BTW

I keep forgetting there's a dash button. Dashing is so easy on cheatbox that I don't even think about it. But like I said, I wanna take my time, really learn the game, and ease into it so I'm not burned out by August. Yeah, I love playing games with my wife, but she's not a fan of 'video game' video games. Since disco is more or less a ton of dialogue trees and puzzles, she loves it. She loved the witness and Obra Dinn too.

In the beta H. Dolphin-> L. dolphin -> L. dolphin-> 3K got me a HKD every time. People think playing like this is for morons, but when you eat the slide who's the moron now?? And Mission mode is kinda cool. I wish there were just some combo trials (I honestly have looked hard enough to see if there is any) but it's already given me some tech and game knowledge. Sure, that tech and game knowledge is on twitter and other places on the internet, but I learn better by doing. Sorry Volt, I don't read or watch any of your tech stuff, I don't retain anything that way. Hopefully I can play a little more tonight. Didn't get home until 9, didn't jump on till like 9:30 and the wife made me turn it off by 10 so we could play Disco Elysium

Punk in neutral good seems weird. After his "lag tantrum" he's chaotic good or chaotic neutral. I'd put Valle in neutral good. James Chen at true neutral I'm cool with, cause I instantly mute him if he's on the mic so to me he's the sound of silence. They knocked the Evil line out the park tho

Seriously, it's easily the worst part of the game. On some good news, I guess the Japanese netplay experience has been abysmal, which means Sega will actually look into it. I guess they sorta messed up with server placement so a lot of western Japan is getting shafted pretty hard.

I only ended up watching it cause I jumped on twitch to just zone out to something while I fell asleep and someone I follow was restreaming it

for real. Floyd is 44. F O R T Y - F O U R Hasn't fought a legit bout since 2017, and hasn't fought a real top boxing contender in 6 years. In his post fight presser he said he only trained 2-3 days a week and this wasn't even the most important thing that happened in his life this week; his daughter graduated high school. He didn't take this fight cause he needed the cash, he took it cause he knew he didn't have to run a legit camp, that Paul wasn't a real threat, and that he could walk away with a 9 figure paycheck. I'm just bummed cause it's fanning the flames of the Paul goons. But I gotta say, outside of the suicide forest thing, Logan Paul doesn't seem to be nearly half the dick-wart that his little brother is.

I really hope the player base sticks around. Strive is gonna take a big chunk out, but I'm hoping that sega has at least a few people working to support this project. Adding an invite or search function to the lobbies would be huge if that happens this summer. But, on the plus side, in July when most people have either moved on to strive, back to tekken, or got bored of their "free" game, I won't need to have an invite system cause there will only be like 15 lobbies at any given time anyway
