  1. I'm thinking it is, cause otherwise I'm hoping this dude woulda rolled up with the keys and took that car back. Even then... I can't get over burdening yourself financially like that for a person that has no standing commitment to you. Like, you're already buying her dinner and gifts, and she's running up your bills by taking shits and showers at your place and watch TV and shit. Come on, man. If you can't afford to buy a car in cash like it's a McDouble, don't get your girl a car...
  2. The dude in this situation was the one that fucked up first. If there ain't a ring or a child, why the fuck are you buying someone else a car? Not just a car... A car with monthly payments. She's outrageous for thinking he's going to keep paying, but he's a dummy for making that purchase in the first place.
  3. Played a little bit with Pot last night and it was pretty dope. I think that my gameplan at the moment is to main May, try to have a pocket Ky and Pot. Pocket pot usually ends up with a court date and probation tho, so I should be careful. Fun little story from last night: First games with Pot after 2 minutes in training just so I can find my ass with two hands and a roadmap; Play a ram player. My first thought was that with her buttons, I'm totally screwed. Lose the first game, adjust and win the set. Ram player is salty, so they switch to Sol. Start getting ignorant with sols silly buttons and get clapped as a result. After winning another set, I back out and switch to May and homeboy refuses to rematch me lolololol. Also, you can 360 potbuster instead of the 632146 input. Waaaaaay faster on hitbox.
  4. Looks like Ram and Pot have the smallest differential in total % of playerbase and celestial %... Does that mean that they're balanced? I feel like it's significant somehow.
  5. Same here. ihmo, frame data points you in the right direction, but it's like looking at the box when you're doing a puzzle: It'll help get you there, but you gotta still put that shit together. I really just try to think in terms of "is this safe?" and "does this punish that?" cause I still got to pilot the thing. Math will lie to you. But at the same time This... It's already there, it shouldn't be that hard to do. I'm sure they already have a debug screen that has all this shit on it anyways.
  6. Like hell I do. Omega May is more or less confirmed already in my opinion. ASW knows what they're doing with DLC characters. Just like Bamco. When you drop a new character, make them broken (or at least look broken i.e. SS4 Gogeta) to get everyone talking about it, people jump back in to see the bullshit in living color, then you tone them down after a couple months of silliness. You're right about the netcode tho. Even if the numbers drop, you'll still have the ability to find games cause you can get a good match with just about anyone in the world if you connection is decent. Hell yeah he was. BigT is the realest of the real. That guy rules
  7. Set up the wii last night for my crippled dad and he asked about skyward sword cause we have a copy. Asked if I liked it, I told him it was aight, I'm just salty cause it doesn't have a lefty mode and it's the only zelda game ever that Link isn't left handed. Then my dad genuinely said "Man... That's fucked up" 🤣 Too bad this HD rerelease will never go on sale. I'd be willing to give the buttons only controls a spin
  8. Peanut butter might actually be my favorite food. I'm one of those dudes that has a spoonful with breakfast every morning
  9. You didn't say anything crazy, homie. There's such a small percentage of people that will stick around and keep playing it unless they get something new to keep it fresh. So they gotta support it with something to keep the active player healthy and stable. Most of the time, a new character is enough to bring people back to a game, peak the interest of a new player, or keep the player that never left around. Less often, you throw in a new system mechanic or overhaul. Just look at any MOBA. Those things have like 100+ characters to keep players interested. I'm just hoping that strive doesn't go crazy with system mechanics... And I'm kinda using DBFZ as a measuring stick for this, cause they haven't done a ton of system additions or changes since launch iirc... Selectable assists was added later, right? I'm just not a fan of a bunch of system mechanics and stuff that you have to select on a character select screen, so I really hope that strive can stay "fresh" without adding a bunch of new mechanics or options like SFV did, cause imho that just makes a game bloated.
  10. There's gonna be a point in this game's life where there is one super broken ass mega character, I'm pretty confident. But it'll be in February of 2023 when the player base has dipped and they drop Omega May who has like tig ol biddies and the dolphins have machine guns on them or something. Theny they'll nerf the living shit out of her in April and she'll just be top 3. It'll bring a bunch of people back tho
  11. They've promised 5 characters by the end of the year iirc, that should be enough to keep things fresh enough all the way through June 2022 I'd reckon. I agree that adjustments and system tweaking are going to have to happen to satiate a short attentioned consumer base, but I really, really hope they don't go the route of just piling on system mechanic after system mechanic. I didn't pick up SF5 until it was knee deep into it's 3rd year and I was totally overwhelmed by the amount of stuff that game has. And the RC system seems to have a lot of gas in the tank as far as providing depth to the game, so I'm hoping that they don't have to add a bunch of system mechanics to keep people interested.
  12. We're about to hit the 50% mark on 2021, so time to give my 1st half GOTYs 1.) RE8- Probably in my top 3 RE games of all time. Everything from the presentation, the gameplay, and the variety and pacing was on point and I'd be surprised if I play anything that I enjoy much more than this in 2021. The only downside I can think of is that most of the boss fights were pretty meh to me, and the crafting system makes inventory management kind of pointless, but those complaints are so miniscule that they don't really amount to much. 2.) Disco Elysium- I know this came out in 2019, but the complete edition dropped this year and it's probably one of the best games I've ever played. I'm playing it with my wife and we're both pretty addicted. If you haven't picked this up, do yourself a favor and grab it. 3.) GG Strive- Game's good. Sure, it's only been out for 2 weeks, but it's great. Hopefully the lobbies get better and they add the custom trials mode and crossplay by the end of the year. 2nd Half Hopefuls 1.) Metroid Dread- Drops on my birthday, so I might just spend the weekend playing it through if I can talk my wife out of making me do shit. 2.) Advanced Wars Reboot- Picked up Wargroove last year just to scratch the AW itch, so I'm pretty stoked. 3.) Super Monkey Ball- mostly cause I hope it has a jukebox mode or a least the tune from super monkey billiards 2 is in the game. That track is tooooo gooooood. Game is dope too 4.) Psychonauts 2: Really enjoyed the first one despite it kinda playing like ass, so all this one needs to do is keep the sharp wit and tighten up the platforming and it'll be great.
  13. 7 different in game currencies? The fuck is this? Banjo-Kazooie? Everything about this looks bad, but they even fucked up just buying stuff.
  14. Ooooh man, you should get it. It gives you a recap of 7 at the beginning and tells you all you need to know. That game is damn good
  15. I never really consider mechanics when it comes to guest characters; it's more about aesthetics. But DS fits the bill there too. 'SQAUTCH FOR STRIVE!!!
  16. Noctis is the one you go for? Bruh, that game has fucking Negan. You wanna talk a character that doesn't fit the aesthetics or tone...
  17. Only time will tell. I have a good feeling that Strive will hit 2.5 million, and I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of it's support cycle it hits 4 million. it has amazing netcode, it's gorgeous, and it's already sold nearly half a million. If it really shows off at EVO, and they have a crazy reveal (like a new mode on top of a new character) I wouldn't be surprised if it his 2 million by next June. While on the topic of sales, one of the tactics everyone is using lately is cross-over characters, but I feel like GG cares too much about it's canon to let sub zero or blanka or whoever to show up. Would definitely moves some units if they did tho, especially if they put like John Wick or something in there.
  18. Man, some of these missions are finicky as hell. I just did the safe jump one and it’s kind of bullshit. I’m guessing that there’s certain frames you have to hit, but there’s so many instances where I did exactly what it asked me to do and I still failed 😤
  19. It's literally in purgatory. On top of other stuff, but I'll leave that explanation to a more qualified person
