  1. ROLLBACK NETCODE OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED AND WE GOT MOVELISTS https://drive.google.com/file/d/1d6sIGV2nDw59HeqrKac5ysKh500G6Bva/view
  2. lowkey the fact that 7 got a remake before 9 or 6 only speaks that people care exclusively about the popularity aspect of specific FF games and not their intricate details such as: gameplay, characters, story, lore, world, and more don't get me wrong it's REALLY fucking awesome to see 7 remade and Square bringing all those characters somewhat faithfully into a modern era of graphics but... yeah this saga is gonna take like a decade considering where Part 1 left off and unless the team considerably nerfs or outright skips certain content from the original, they got a LOT of shit to remake for Parts 2 and 3 (inb4 each of them also have their own intergrade releases like Part 1)
  3. Granblue players bought Versus primarily because of the bonuses for the gacha that came with every copy, many of which included endgame items that one would otherwise have to grind for extremely long or wait for months on end to obtain. That's not to say that most of the GBVS sales from people that don't give a shit about fighting games period, but that's just some foor for thought. And now theyr'e doing it again with the Legendary Edition (plus the new skins that come with the Avatar Belial, gotta get that djeeta booba)
  4. So uh, further datamines came out just a few hours ago and they confirm the leaks I'm not gonna mention them here for obvious reasons but... yeah, not quite feeling the choices SNK made in terms of roster expansions
  5. I'll try to watch both tbh I want to know what DNF plays like but I also need to see Ryo in action
  6. Releasing a new version with all the DLC so far is a very good decision and there will be at least 3 more roster additions once the poll ends but as long as delay netcode is in...... yeah I'm afraid to say Granblue will not see much of a revitalization, at least unless offline events start coming back en masse next year interesting to see what kind of balance changes there are tomorrow
  7. Oh shit that's..... huge actually so now we know there will be at least 10 characters in base roster (further confirming my theory that every class will have a subclass in the game) but most importantly we'll find out how the damn game plays AND what kind of netcode it will be? and as soon as this Friday? DNF literally went from being absent from the media for a year to dropping news left and right makes me believe it's going to be a 2022 release after all
  8. I'm curious how they handle fucking everything in 6 it's been almost 6 years since V launched and in that period they made *one* brand new fighting game, and it was ass pretty much all around Like I'm not even going to be surprised if SF6 turns out to be worse than V. Belive me there are plenty of ways it could happen
  9. Devs always talks out Futuristic shit though, like how all those tech demos over the years promised or speculated what videogames cab/should/will look like And hell iirc some projects in the distant past did apply Raytracing but in a super limited form. Problem is that rtx was basically the first major push to make the technology more available to the masses and the studios through a third party api, with amd joining later and of course unreal 5 being a thing Anyways point is now we actually can look forward to achieving true photorealism, without having to "fake" the reflections (screenspace), or doing shadowmaps (with predetermined light sources), or speculate how a scene needs to be lit (which is why we have so many examples of "dark" environments in games being so bright inside even though that's not how stuff looks in real life), or avoid objects being seemingly lit up so it feels like floating above ground
  10. Raytracing is actually the future of 3d rendering because it allows for things like reflections and lighting to just come naturally, which also means realistic shadows. It also saves time for devs because they don't need to manually code those three elements like games in the past did. It's just that currently the technology is still at an experimental stage and is unoptimized hence why it significantly tanks the performance and requires a lot of resources from hardware But 5-7 years from now it will be everywhere (at least in aa and AAA class games, obviously it's not needed in indie projects or pixel art)
  11. Oi mate you got a loicense for those chaos emeralds?
  12. Guys I'm pretty sure I've seen the best looking Knuckles ever in that Sonic 2 movie trailer. Like... he's perfect. Proportions, the model, the voice, and he kicked Sonic's ass in the teaser scene
  13. real shit - Axl and I-no actually being lovers from different timelines was a mindblowing but also heartbreaking twist of events. I'm glad that my suspicions about this being the case back in Rev2 story weren't false.
  14. Is it weird or sad to anybody else that it took a global pandemic and mass lockdowns thus rendering offline tournaments basically impossible for almost two years for JP FG devs to even consider actually stepping into the 21st century in terms of netplay in their projects
  15. Unbelievable. They finally get it. People want good online
  16. Slayer coming last establishes and completes the male female male pattern at least. Also having 2 new and 3 vets in a season is a good balance for a fighting game season pass
  17. Pretty cool of them to add Dante in an alt costume to the game. And there's a jump spotted too. Slowly getting convinced this game will be tight
  18. As of now, two things can kill the game off for me even before release 1) it's ridiculously simplified where movement is limited, combo routes are basically on rails, that sort of stuff. So far we're seeing normals into specials into specials into supers. No dashes, running, blocking, defensive mechanics Or 2) it's delay netcode instead of rollback. So far we only have a random interview by a Latino fighting games site with ArcSys from last year where it said dnf will have the latter. But after the failure of granblue there's literally no point to even bother with dnf if it's delay
  19. Do they though? As far as we know, FighterZ support has ended (maybe just one more patch left) . Granblue support is ending with Vira's DLC next month. Strive currently has two more DLC characters in the pipeline plus future patches. BlazBlue is dead. Cross tag is dead. And besides that nothing is seemingly going on inside the studio Anyways striker has a cool trailer. It seems like dnf does have some air combo element to it since she does three jabs before a cancel into a special, which is good news. I was worried it'd be a carbon copy of the beatemup with next to no jumping or movement above ground
  20. You guys ever watch a character trailer for a fighting game and think "yup found my main"? This is me with Grappler. Dude's sick.
  21. Luke continues the post-S1 tradition of SFV characters having mostly wack animations Capcom better invest into their internal teams with the next game
  22. soooooooooooooooooooooooooo Capcom lowkey hinting at SF6 teaser in 2022?
