Doctrine_Dark got a reaction from Bigtochiro in The Street Fighter V Thread
In retrospect, it really was terrible. I think what I liked most about it was the fact that it had a Story Mode and pseudo fatalities (I believe they were called Overkills) in it. I was pretty bad at the Double Dragon games, so I didn't have a fond memory of the series as a whole back then. But yeah, just about every Double Dragon fan I know would rather pretend that game never existed. I became a much more avid fan of the Double Dragon in the later yrs. Double Dragon 3 was still piss hard for no apparent reason tho. I salute any normal human that was able to complete that game.
I just came across a tweet from a Capcom artist from the 90's that talked about Capcom being approached by DC to make a fighting game:
Funny how I literally was just playing the Justice League fighting game. Now I'm just imagining how the DC characters would've been designed in a Capcom fighting game.

I haven’t but I’m curious if it’ll run SFV better. Seeing how the game lags on a base PS4 in training mode and apparently runs much better on a good PC, I’m curious if there are similar advantages for the PS5... cutting down the initial loading time from 15 minutes would be nice too lol.
I decided I’ll probably get a PS5 eventually. I was hoping to get a good gaming PC instead, but I can’t justify spending 3-4x as much on one.

You must really be sick of SFV if you're playing DDV. As a big fan of the series, that game felt like a personal insult. The last image isn't showing for me, which game is it?
Never mind, the link says EC. The animations were god-awful, but I kind of liked the rest of the game.

I've been playing a lot of older fighting games from the SNES/Genesis/NES over the past couple.
A few:
What I found interesting about the above games is that they all had the six-button layout. The Street Fighter layout was the way to go back in the day. A few other games (TMNT Tournament Fighters SNES version) went with the four-button layout. I like playing and analyzing the games from back then.

I think what you said at the end is what it comes down to. I've played this game for yrs, so this feeling is normal. Starting to notice this with certain streamers as well. It's the burn-out.
On another note, looks like Avengers did pretty bad:
When I saw the huge drop in the player base, I already knew what was up.

Most likely what it is. Part of me still wants Capcom to release another league for a new goal, but I don't think it matters at this point.
Maybe things will change once Dan is released.

You know it’s dark days when MS’s biggest SF killer is looking to Dan to liven things up 😞
@Illwill88you probably know this, but I was messing around with Laura and her cr.hp is really easy to confirm. Ever since I discovered Nash could confirm his s.hp I always look for similar stuff on other characters.
Range on her cr.hp is decent (for Laura), it’s safe on block, and the confirm gets you any grounded version of bolt. Medium bolt took a bit more concentration bits it’s not that bad.
@misterBeecan you delete my accidental triple post

In some ways this is one the saddest things I've read.
Legit a patch would be kinda nice to shake stuff up. And when they start kicking out the rest of the chars it'll do the short term shake up thing.
But SFV is also 4, coming up on 5 years old at this point, and its not exactly the game I'd pick to play for years and years on end. No real CPT stuff also doesn't help as those were usually good for some spark.

Once the update comes you'll have a new challenge - make it to warlord with Dan.
In all seriousness, the new update is going to be pretty big. In addition to Dan we're getting a balance patch, plus a new battle mechanic that could potentially shake things up.

Nah he needs a new character to drop so he can get his Survival Mode fix 😉
Most SFV players "I hate survival mode!"
@Doctrine_Dark"Ah a challenge! I never turn down a challenge."
Sorry no funny gif, I'm at work.

Playing SFV has been much more draining lately for some reason. I think it's because I'm mostly playing this game outta habit at this point.

SFV really gets on my nerves some nights, and tonight is one of them... it may be my internet, but the netcode seems extra bad tonight, which isn't helping
edit: and i don’t know why winning pisses me off either lol
