They no longer fold, and they're now $50 more expensive @Hawkingbird! What a dumbass move by Sony. Google I/O Keynotes: and the all-important Tl;dr: -

This is relevant to me, considering my wife's GPU in her PC is dead. I've considered buying a 3080Ti as soon as the end of next month (and giving her my 3070), but she's okay playing on consoles for right now. -

Unofficial Drinking Game for Google I/O (btw, I am not responsible for you destroying your liver; proceed at your own peril): Take a shot ... if a well-known celebrity shows up. Take two shots ... every time the Android droid shows up. Take a chug of water ... every time Android 13 is mentioned (gotta stay hydrated after all). Take a shot ... for a great showcase of tech that would be absolutely impractical in day-to-day use. Take three shots ... if the Pixel Watch is confirmed (and shown during the keynote). Kampai Super Bonus: Finish your drink if the Pixel Watch is available to buy immediately after the keynote. -

I'm partial to the Samsung Galaxy series now that I have a maxed out S22 Ultra. Depends on how much you want to spend tbh. For $1000 (if you're so inclined to pay that much), you can get flagship-quality phones from Google and OnePlus. Also the OnePlus 9/9 Pro definitely need consideration, as I believe they've dropped the prices on those phones now that the 10 Pro is out. The Pixel is highly subjective due to MKBHDs issues with the Pro model, although that's not an indicator of the vast majority of experiences. -

Google IO is next week, and I'll post videos from the various keynotes as they get posted to Youtube. The schedule is below. https://io.google/2022/program/ edit: will post the drinking game for IO on Tuesday next week, pre-event. -
So, the haul from my JP store buys is the following: Darius Cozmic Revelation (50% off!) Tiger Heli port (30% off!) Densha De Go (25% off!) Deathsmiles 1 & 2 (paid regular price, about 5000 yen) Also have a imported copy of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 soundtrack on it's way from Amazon Japan here, supposed to be here on the 18th. I also picked up Switch Sports yesterday from Walmart. Also, Densha de Go is addictive as fuck.

These are part of the Sega Genesis Classics collection that's available for purchase on the eShop. I don't see where Sega needs to put them behind the expansion pack paywall, but subscriber demand may change that. Also planning on another set of import purchases pretty soon (probably next week on Tuesday). Looking at Darius Cozmic Revelation, the Tiger Heli collection that M2 worked on; and Densha De Go. Those are a little over $200 on Play-Asia with shipping most likely included via FedEx.

Given the recent news of everyone's favorite billionaire Elon Musk buying Twitter, there's a really good article at The Verge that I recommend reading: https://www.theverge.com/2022/4/26/23040879/elon-musk-twitter-plans-free-speech-bots-anonymity-algorithm-open-source -
From my understanding, he plans on taking the company private, open sourcing the algorithm, yada yada yada . Still, I took no chances and deactivated my two twitter accounts; and even went as far as to block twitter's website as well as any link starting with t.co at my router. Also blocked fxtwitter at the router level as well.

Thanks for reminding me that I still need to get the M2 port of Tiger Heli for Switch.

Speaking of Rune Factory V, It's wild seeing that game featured at Walmart. -
Got tickets to the one in Ft. Worth. Price wasn't too shabby, $80 including parking and a $15 donation to the symphony.

Got an updated NVME SSD on it's way. Picked up a 980 Pro 500gb to replace my old ADATA 480gb one that gave up and stopped working, and I'm supposed to pick it up from Best Buy on Friday. Picked it up for less than $100, and I was 20 bucks short to get the 1tb one. The 500gb will be more than enough for Windows and I can revert my Intel NVME to it's previous state for loading games. -

The only reason Everquest 2 ever got any traction was because it came out at the same time as vanilla World of Warcraft, and copies of WoW couldn't be made fast enough to satisfy demand. -

As far as Blizzard goes, their workplace culture was known for years in a few circles I used to run in. Hoping that Microsoft's pending acquisition finally rids the gaming world of one Robert Kotick. Time will tell. -

did anyone else besides @MillionXpick up Tiny Tina's? I'm curious to hear other opinions.
