It will be big movie but will it do enough for the executives. It isn't just streaming hurting movies the previous expectations need to be realigned because I can't see many massive $500+ million blockbusters even from Marvel/Disney

Furiosa was good. I have seen every Mad Max film, this is probably the best story. Fury Road is a better movie but this is right near it. I haven't watched Road Warrior in years but I remember only liking the back half.

Can't speak towards the parallels but Mobb Deep were always one of the better rap groups in a time there were a ton of great ones.

There is the Continental mini series on Peacock and the Ballerina movie which is supposed to drop this year but I think was pushed back to next year. Plus rumors of the studio trying to make a Chapter 5.

Unfortunately the side effect of me watching mostly game related and anime videos means he has become a weeb.  But thankfully most of his generation already are.

Ironically the company without a main service like Sony comes out ahead as companies looking for content will come to them for content. And due to folk sleeping on the job they have a crazy amount of power in physical space, controlling most major anime distribution and even handling Disney's physical Blu ray distribution now.

Nah, most likely they are shopping it off to other streamers to get money. WBD pretty much isn't interested in making MAX the best of a top streaming service they just want the green so they will lease out all their properties they think might get them paid.

Pretty sure that is why some of those programs that are talked about going to the MeTV cartoon service

I hated the casting for Shang/Raiden the most and Cole the character in general.

Raiden, after the terrible one we got in MK: Annihilation, you could do whatever and be above the garbage line for me unfortunately. You want Ben Kingsley I will be fine with that.

I feel it could have been bet at just a meaty two part story, but this is their big send off for a lot of animated projects so I get why they went for a three part story.

over 90% of Squares modern library is already multi-platform. Exclusivity deals hasn’t hurt Square. What hurt square is all of their titles (all of which have sold within or over internal expectations) haven’t made up for all their shitty investments over the years or the lack of growth in other areas. 
 

They lost their ass on Avengers and are still recovering. Same with Forespoken. Same with Foamstars. They over paid for a bunch of studios they sold at massive losses. They lost their asses on non-essential AI programs, Block Chains and NFTs, the projects they’ve cancelled were due to bloated budgets or personnel leaving. Their mobile gaming division also saw little to no return which is why they keep dialing back on it. Not to mention lack of grown in FFXI and FFXIV. 
 

Pretty much everything else BUT exclusivity is causing Square to restructure. They just worded it poorly. 
 

 

It is funny/sad how the same shit (bad investments and planning) that caused them to have to merge with Enix back in the day is what is hurting them now.

True and frankly, I don't care either of these negros. They make great music and I am here for that but both of them is entitled as fuck in their own ways that makes me pity the youth who want to crown them as the best of anything. Most rap beef is stupid in the end but the longer this goes on the more both of them will look like asses IMO.

Mad at myself, I completely forgot free comic book day was this weekend and spent the whole time doing house chores and catching up on anime.

It was raining a lot but in the afternoons on both Sat and Sun there were spots I could have made a run and grabbed a few books. Hope they still keep some for this upcoming weekend.

Cygames definitely must have bank because the jokes they are doing in Brave Bang Bravern are not ones I see a production with this budget get away with.

Great series

I love the Peter Parker character but honestly his main books are rarely above average at least during the last few decades. You might get a fire story arc here or there or great concepts but the most consistently good run was Doc Ock joy riding in his body. Which is crazy because we have seen multiple runs on Ultimate Spiderman now do the character much better.

My first thought after the initial reveal was that the Hunter X Hunter game would be a budget game. Still haven't fully shaken that feeling but it looks better than I was expecting.
