Watched Shang Chi, what a great movie. Perhaps a bit too long but very well done. Shang's mom gave me a woody ngl. I guess the part I didnt like was Kingsley's cameo(?), it was a bit funny the first 20 seconds then kinda unnecessary and shoehorned imo. All cause yknow, retcon stuff. The fights were tight. Why are eastern cultures so cool

On a serious note I did appreciate that light, very light if even unintentional question of freedom. When Buddy chooses his routine and safety over the goggles, that was a very powerful moment. I dont think many understood that part.

I know is part of Nintendo to make a mario sports game every now and then but golf?? Like isnt that a small demographic to target? Afaik only white boomers play it. Dont get me wrong, the game could be fun but is a hard sell at full price imo. I remember playing Mario Tennis on N64 and was really fun (I also played tennis at the time). Havent checked the Switch version yet. Where the hell is Mario Strikers for Switch? Now that was some fun. It would be easy money for them to release it before the World Cup. Instead of golf they could have easily made a Mario (beach)Volleyball with similar mechanics as ace tennis and for a bigger market

Is cause that brother already lost. These mfers always get saved by a gimmick (also dragon ball everything). If Chichi or Bulma were killed they would start taking shit seriously. 

I prefer Toriyama writing over Toyotaro any day. Vegeta has been getting mad development. The one thing I kinda wonder is if we'll ever see Frieza or Broly again. Is like they forgot they survived the last movie lol.

Just finished watching Loki ep2. Show seems to setup the next phase with the multiverse stuff. Wanda Loki and Strange next will finish introducing the whole multiverse thing right into Spiderman. Kinda neat. Owen Wilson is such an underrated actor. I loved him as Hansel and Dupree but he can do semi serious roles too

Nintendo didn't expect the original GB would last as long as it did and had worked on potential successors to the OG unit for years before they put out the GBA. Often, especially after the Virtual Boy misstep, the reasons they never committed to doing it were 1. it was still selling very well and 2. the cost would hurt their profits. They could have released a device as powerful as the GBA at the time they made the Game Boy Color but figured the price wasn't right yet put out the Color because around that time folk kept coming for their handheld dominance in Japan but didn't want to split the player base that was rekindled by Pokemon. 

 

Granted different folk were in charge but this OLED feels very much like that. They went a more safe route that won't split the base and will probably use lessons from this on the next device which could really just be a Switch 2 rather a incremental power boost.

Speaking of next gen, I wonder if Nintendo still plans to do on the go gaming a priority. Aftwr both Sony and MS released two different versions of their console, maybe they can go for a "pro" Switch 2 only for TV gaming with better specs and a hybrid less powerful Switch 2 that resembles the current system. Either way I pray whatever they release be backwards compatible

Just came here to say the demo of MH stories 2 already feels better than pokemon sword shield. The fact that it has voices for every fucking dialogue and gamefreak are still using 8bit cries for pokemon, 0 voices on a switch game and remember "cant have 800 3d models on a 2020 game" excuse.
