I'll have to try it out at some point. I'm just messing around. May give me another reason to but out my Switch arcade stick.

I just downloaded. Not a biggest fan of EX but I just want to support Arika. While the visuals are clear downgrade the performance seems solid. At least on docked. Haven't tried portable mode.

Edit: Looks like they took a similar approach to MK11 on Switch but with less of a downgrade. I haven't felt any performance dips.

Off topic, but that's my favorite movie. LOL. I've song "Own My Own Alone" by Stan Bush to my bestie on my birthday. It was a thank you to her and what we went through together for the last couple years. We're lucky to be alive. ^_^

One of the best 1980s songs for me.

The last game session from FightCade was in SFIII 3rd Strike with someone. A 15 year hiatus, but the outcome was in my favor. 21 (22?) - 0, shockingly. However, I'm incredibly rusty regardless.

DarkStalkers session outcome from FightCade, was 20 - 0, in the other person's favor. He commented me on being pretty competent, despite being absent from the series for close to 15 years. GGPO had a nice following back then. He wants me get back to par again.

It would be difficult to get back to my prime in these games, but their not my favorite at all.

Virtua Fighter 3 sessions, from an over 20 year hiatus, also ended with a favorable outcome.

Talk about no substance? You cast the first insult by asking if everyone can't be that stupid. It's literally in your post, with nothing to back it up. Don't come in here playing victim if you're throwing stones yourself. It makes you look ugly and dumb.

Nobody gives a shit you didn't get the vaccine, and you keep bringing it up is getting old as fuck.  Again, nobody fucking cares.

I've always resonated with these songs. They've done a good job with their covers.

That Cowboy Bebop soundtrack always takes me back to that time in my life, because I listened to so much of it on a daily basis back then... it was like my personal soundtrack for life back then.  When that anime was new...there was nothing else even close in terms of the soundtrack.  I still consider it to be Legendary.
this one really hit hard during an especially rough time
...ok yeah...it's still tough to *not* get a bit emotional just hearing this one again...

so, my latest trip to a Gamestop was yesterday, and I saw they had a large Krang from TMNT figurine; I might have to go back and get it... the temptation is strong... they also had Rocksteady and Bebop!  I imagine those would be perfect "bookends" to stand at either side of my tv, perhaps.  It would've been cool if they had Baxter Stockman in the mutated fly form; I was always a fan of that character design, at least how he looked in the 80s cartoon.

Since the early to late 1990s competitively. A little off and on casually past that. However, considering the very popular chess app I've heard about a couple years prior, I've been retaking steps to revisit this. Hopefully, my interest span can be as it was in my greater youth.

People were telling me at the time to don't discontinue chess, due to the decline of competition in my state, which I'm not boosting in anyway. I've originally wanted a career for this. Due to two of my sessions with one of the world's renowned players, I lost my motivation to keep going. Not that it matters, but we've traded wins, 1 each. However, maybe it did matter, as I knew he wanted me to see something as an individual. I gave everything I've had with him, because I was very demanding in finding meaning or purpose in my life through competitive matters of interpretation/communication of what the opponent and myself are thinking and feeling.

Since dominance wasn't it, hedonism and cynicism was something I could resonate with much later in life, but take no issue with being loved/cared for in return. While not the ideal way to live in perception of most people, but not everyone can live the standard life.

Long before migrating to fighting games at the time, yes. There is so much intuition and knowing the quantity of the movements ahead by the rules. I'm a highly intuitive and too much of an analytical person (I don't like it LOL), but my over sensing and judgment very much edges out more favorable critical thinking for me at the same time. So, that's what drew me to chess at the very beginning.

Since Kenner Louisiana will take a while to recuperate after us state hurricane victims who like especially to go there for tournaments, I was thinking of revisiting fighting game tournaments again, but I could actually do the same with chess tournaments a few decades ago. A few years from now, it may actually be something worth investing in from a side hustle.

I estimate the time of duration in which could un-rust me. In chess, I could see myself facing more grandmasters. However, the very first one in the 1990s, there was vital merit to be considered. I've learned alot from him, because the measure of self-worth by the endless pursuit of prowess versus another, was never for me.

So, I guess I could have fun with that when the time comes. It's been over 20 years that I've had 1st place in anything. I'll see where the chips fall again.

Other than Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting from activity, Weaponlord, Fatal Fury 3,  and Eternal Champions don't have much people from FightCade. Either way, the application served it's purpose as I'm not much into the genre as I use to be, but I'll use it still when the mood strikes me.

I'm just going to refer to steam for retro games, non-fighting related. However, I will buy ROBO OH as an exception.

Tch. Oh lord. My messy dad on this day is trying to get my bestie to turn on me earlier this morning. Since he knew her long before I came back on his life, only to turn his back on me yet again, his plan is to have her to abandon me, because he felt I disrespected him severely over the phone days ago. So, I'm pissed at him again.

I mean, yes, I called him by his first name, cussed many times, said fuck him, told him that I won't go to his funeral if he dies before me, but guess what? Since he manipulated me financially costing me thousands of dollars, and attempted multiple false felony arrests on me to where it backed fired on him, I needed to separate myself from this unfavorable bloodline. He say that he doesn't owe me anything, which is fine, but I no longer owe him any love nor respect either.

He was called out for being a narcissist, which even I have much of his ways. However, the fact that he would try to lecture me on things that he is guilty of also, and would use his bible to manipulate others into thinking he is some stand up guy, it sucks to be those that fell for or let him slide for this.

I'll never forgive him for what he's done. If he dies, he dies.

Unfortunately, I don't think that I could go through this anymore. Enough of my family died from covid, even with taking the vaccine. One of my cousins were pregnant, took the vaccine, and was hospitalized 3 days later with the sick unborn child. I've had heavy brain fog and temporary elevated memory problems this year, but this is prior to my childhood. It took a while to remember things about myself and others. Either way, we're just tired of it, as we rather take our chances without it.

That's really something, about acting on one's humanity. Because of those two women, as important as they are to me, I can't even drink most of the time anymore. Perhaps there was more to what you, King AYO, and Chadouken, were trying to convince me months ago about alcoholism. I was unable to see the points directed to me at the time.

Anyway, I'm more at peace with sobriety, for now. A very foreign feeling, but I'll take it. For what it's worth, thank you to the three of you.

If anything I've said has helped you, then you're welcome.  It took me a while and the constant help of friends to finally turn away from the bottle.  It's one of the few things that I really and truly don't wish upon others since I know what it's like and how bad it can get.  Nobody realizes how deep the bottle is until they're climbing out of it.

I agree.  I must thank you months ago for encouraging me to refer to FightCade, having to spend alot of time on GGPO in 2006 to 2008. FightCade saved me the trouble from further retail therapy on new generation fighters. While Fighting Ex Layer Another Dash and Virtua Fighter are fun enough, but 1980s and 1990s fighting games will forever have me.
