If we get furloughed we'll likely get back pay, even though we didn't work. That's how it's worked the last couple times there's been a shutdown. We get told to stand down without pay, but our next paycheck includes all the time we missed. As long as you're non-essential. Essential employees get the shaft because they have to work, but still get back pay.

Same. The lobbies for these courses don't fill up as fast as the F-ZERO 99 regular lobbies. Peeps always wanna do the easiest courses. Big Blue and Mute City I always get picked over Sand Ocean and Death Wind I. What these players don't realize is that by always picking the "safe" tracks, they are doing themselves a diservice because they will be unprepared for the harder tracks when they drop. Death Wind I is NOTHING compared to Death Wind II. The curves on Sand Ocean are Light Work compared to the tracks that are yet to come.

I stole third place from some player yesterday by KOing them. Like, they could PEE on that finish line, that's how close they were to catching that dub. But the only thing they caught was the smoke. And I do mean smoke because those suckers pour it OUT when they blow up. Super villain life is sounding pretty good right now. I think I'll find a nice cap, work on my evil laughter and find a get to pet, Dr. Claw style.

I found out you can do little mini boosts when you're dangerously low on energy in F-ZERO 99. 
 
And why do so many of my teammates NOT SPIN during team battle?!  If I wanted to carry dead weight, I would fire up Splatoon 3!!!

WHEN AM I GONNA BE RECALLED FOR BEING A GAGGING HAZARD?

BG3-- well, I tried a few times to get these 3 ogres to become my hired goons but it just wasn't working... there's an option for a persuasion or intimidation roll in that conversation but so far I couldn't get it to go well either way.
 
The persuasion one is trying to sway them with an offer of gold but they weren't going for it.  I don't really have that much anyway... which is something I'm just recently realizing... I've become spoiled by other rpgs where my characters are super rich pretty fast. (*in the world of Diablo it's inevitable that you get stupid amounts of gold; my D3 characters are sitting on several billion....and I had a few million gold in D4)
 
I may still try going back to that save point a few more times... I figure it would be good to have ogres as the hired help I can count on if needed.

Mega Drive/Genesis will always be better to me since it has more games that I like for it. Don't get me wrong the SNES has some of my fave games like Super Metroid, FF5 and 6, DKC, Contra 3, MMX, Wild Guns but then I look at the Mega Drive and Alien Soldier is there, Contra: Hard Corps, Rocket Knight Adventures, Sonic 3&K, Gunstar Heroes, Splatterhouse 2, SoR1/2 etc etc. which are all way more interesting to me with maybe the exception of MMX
 
To me the ratio of Quality AND Quantity sits with the MD, plus the soundchip absolutely mogs the SNES', and no, shitty western devs relying on GEMS doesn't prove otherwise.
 
But, again, it's all just preference, like RSG said, it has plenty of action games that hit that big arcade feel and that's what I like.
