Actually I like Death. I remember when Chuck died too, it was wild reading about that although I hadn't really listened to them at that point yet.
 
I wish the black metal singers sounded more like the death metal ones but I can't take the shrieking. I love the instruments and almost wish some of these bands would just go instrumental because I'd rather have no vocals than annoying ones. It double sucks because some of the black metal songs have really cool lyrics but I can't understand any of them and can't be assed to look them all up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Highlights:  Spider-Man 2 took over for October.  The sales for that month instantly put it as the 4th best selling game of 2023 YTD.  Spiderman 2 exceeded Spiderman's sales by a double digit percentage.  SMB Wonder was the # 2 best selling game of October.  It is currently just outside of the top 20 YTD at #21 (again...this only considers physical).  Roblox got released and ended up getting ranked 4th in active users for Playstation's base (Circana has a new engagement tracker for Xbox, Playstation, and Steam ecosystems which you'll see numbers for later).  9 games that released last month popped up in the top 20...which is probably how MK8D got it's top 20 streak ended....Minecraft is still floating around though.
 
Hardware:  PS5 was the best selling hardware platform for both unit and dollar sales for Oct.  Xbox Series took 2nd for Dollar sales and then Switch shifted up to #2 for unit sales.

And perfectly explains how so many people are asking why it wasn't nominated. Argued with a few people about this "It's not very good" to you, but enough people liked it enough to the point we are having this discussion because they are a large enough bunch of people, and kinda exposes how the Game Awards don't really represent what the actual game players played and talked about over the course of the year. Now we've all known this for a while, it's why I don't give a fuck about the awards, at all, but maybe the rest of the casual gamer population is realizing it a bit to.  
 
I mean not to dunk on Nintendo but Mario Wonder shouldn't even be Nommed, it just fucking came out lol. 

It's the best selling game of 2023 last I checked. That's a massive L for the people who wanted it to fail.

woooo I can smell that salt from a mile away... I noticed Jim Sterling's latest vid is titled "Maybe the wizard game just wasn't very good." or something to that effect....likely referring to it being snubbed out of any nominations for the Video Game Awards, I'm guessing.... oh gee I wonder what could be Sterling's "issue" with that game at the moment, or more specifically... a certain person that created that franchise and IP in the first place.  Yes, I do take a sick bit of pleasure in people hating that woman for having what is deemed an "incorrect" opinion on certain things, apparently.
