Also FFS can we get Drunken Master Lee (or a new drunken master) in SF6? Not having a drunken boxing rep in THE GRANDADDY OF FIGHTING GAMES is nonsense!

EDIT: In fact, give us a female drunken boxing rep. I'm not sure if there's a single female drunken boxer in all of fighting games and it could be awesome.

Take this with a grain of salt but we might get a drunken fighter in SF6

  2. Gen is officially dead if they revive the "Gen's female disciple" concept. Characters dying in the narrative is fine but when their disciple takes their moves and surpass their master in popularity it's game over.

Rose survived because she's a hot girl with story relevance. Putting Gouken in the game will kill the allure of Ryu's redesign, Zeku is already overshadowed by his students, Retsu is a literally who and Oro is would make a perfect background character. It hurts to see all the old men so low but this is reality.

Capcom blue-balled us so hard last month that this turned into the KOF story thread in my absence.

This thread will turn into a Samurai Shodown thread once they reveal the next team. Then it'll turn into a KOF thread again when Orochi Team shows up, then right after that the Tekken 8 teaser will be revealed at...

    Bushinryu lore

That's a mutual agreement between both parties where the winner takes on the mantle. Akuma sees a strong fighter and will kill them even if they don't want to fight. Akuma is "evil",  not as evil as your Oni's or M. Bison but he should be categorized as such. Ryu is "good" but according to official media he's not as good as Ken, Chun-Li or Charlie Nash.

  5. Rashid failed the assignment when Juri challenged him to a fight and he, the main character, hid behind his butler. I've seen many protagonists in fighting games, but i've never seen one who'd run away from  a fight. If it was any other protagonist this would've happened:

And then there's G who's supposed to be the boss of SFV...

His only actual loss was with Gouken in SF4. So they are 1 for 1 now.

He lost to Gouken when Ryu and Ken were teenagers. So it's 2-1 in Gouken's favor. All those years where Gouken "died", Akuma was training, only to lose to Gouken who just woke up from his sleep.

My only wish is for Capcom to put Garuda in SF6. Either Akuma loses badly or he spends the entire series running away from it like he did in SFEX.

He looks like very much like Gouken around the time that Gouki left home the first time (before he killed Goutetsu). But hotter.

Gouken looked like this before Gouki killed Goutetsu.

Ryu literally looks like Young Gouken. His design mirrors some of the concept art from SFIV.

I was trying to find Gouken's concept that resembles Ryu but then i found these:

Akiman also drew a picture of beard Ryu in the early 2000's, it's almost like they wanted to redesign him a long time ago but were afraid of the backlash from SF purists who want SF to remain SFII forever.

Either he learned fast af because he's the "special one" or events need him now, so he interrupted it mid-run

Or as you say they simply ignore that 15 years line and make that he trained long enough lol

Or Oro and Ryu were never master and student to begin with. Oro's just as delusion as Sakura who keeps calling herself Ryu's disciple when he's never taught her anything.

but if it animates and includes the wackier cast like @ShockDingomentioned  it would be more akin to akin later on if looked in perception in a gameplay. I cannot judge that early without seeing wacky character fight character like Luke or Ryu.

Dante's Shoryukens, Boxing, Capoeira, Cannon Spike look perfectly fine in DMC5. His Real Impact is better than any Shin Shoryuken Ryu's performed in a 3D game. Vergil with his gauntlets is also beautifully animated.

Akuma looks and animates better in Tekken 7 than any shoto does in SFV.

  9. Ken's got it worse than Alex. He's no longer the number 2 of SF or "Ryu but more flashy". Akuma overshadows Ken both in terms of popularity and flashiness. Ken's biggest showing was in Smash Ultimate and that's only because he's a pallet swap, meanwhile Akuma continues to appear in more games, and KOF All Stars will be on his resume.

Akuma can appear in a game without Ryu (Tekken 7 and Monster Hunter Rise) but Ken can't because he's not on that level. Notice how nobodies asking where Ken is in the SFVI teaser...times have changed.

Why Ryu can't move pass Satsu no Hado?

UMVC3 already got Hado Kakusei which is better

Satsu no Hado should never be Ryu's best form, he already had overcome and surpass it's strength and power

Capcom should stop lingering Ryu to always internal conflict, his too old and it had been too long for that.

Because it's a crossover between KOF All Star and Street Fighter V. They copy and pasted Ryu and Chun-Li's bios for SFV.

I apologize for interrupting the conversation going on. As @Lord_Vegaplans on releasing new information about the Street Fighter V Guide, i decided to compile all the information i translated on here for the characters I’ve done so far.

    Ryu:

A martial artist who continues his training in search of true strength. He’s truly sincere in manner and personality, and travels the world seeking to fight against stronger opponents than himself. He continues to fight against the “Surge of Murderous Intent”; another entity that has been born within himself and devotes himself daily to control it’s power.

    Chun-Li:

An investigator of the ICPO who fights with magnificent kicking techniques. She became a detective at the age of 18 to search for her father who mysteriously disappeared, however knowing Shadaloo’s involvement with his disappearance, she swore to destroy Shadaloo. She cares for her friends and cares for Cammy, who is worried about the Dolls. She rescues a little girl who was kidnapped by Shadaloo.

Lmao at shinkiro heavy roiding up Kyo to don't have him completely embarassed next to Ryu 🤣

Shinkiro's not the artist. Also Ryu's a manlet so he'll look embarrassing next to Kyo, Iori, K', Shun'ei and Terry. If he had a beard he'd look less of a wimp next to them.

Sean getting a main cast sister etc

    spacer.png

Sean's family was introduced in this book. Laura didn't have a name at the time. There's a few things in SFV that came from this book, one example being Ibuki's sporty costume.

    • RE is getting news tomorrow.
    • The new IP with the little girl got delayed big time.
    • It's not Monster Hunter.
    • DMC is dead af without Itsuno who's working on Dragon's Dogma 2.
    • The announcement is literally after Capcom Cup and the time is well suited for Japanese audience.

It would be a slap in the face if it's anything other than SFVI.
