  1. I would love to give it to everyone but uploading images could become very storage and bandwidth intensive if the site scales up in size. I don't plan on having ads and pay out of my own pocket so this is a balance that keeps costs manageable. Sorry!
  2. Unfortunately uploading your images in posts is limited to subscribers only. If you need an alternative I'd suggest uploading images to Imgur or Volt's image dump Discord.
  3. Sardines. Anchovies. 🤤 Put all the fish on the pizza thanks.
  4. It's too late. I'm converting everyone to Melty anyway.
  5. The only thing this conversation has done is make me want to eat candy corn.
  6. Candy corn isn't so bad. It's just not nearly as good as other candies. We got mega haters out here.
  7. @weneedhim Your thread was pretty funny. Maybe didn't need to get deleted but it's too late now. 🤷‍♂️ You're welcome to extol the virtues of your greatness here but quit insulting people or you'll get banned. Thx 🔫
  8. For a long time the only way to play 3/4/5 in English were the censored PS3 releases. Now there's the Yakuza Remastered Collection, which contains those 3 games on PS4, uncensored and at 1080p/60fps.
  9. I don't think the game is that demanding -- if you can handle something like ZDoom then Ion Fury should be no problem. The game only requires something like 1GB of RAM and a 512MB GPU.
  10. Unfortunately that's because Kiwami 1 & 2 are PS2 games with a fresh coat of paint. Their stories are still decent but they're not at the same level as Yakuza 0. Once you get to Yakuza 3/4/5/6 the story jumps up in quality again by a lot. I'd still recommend Kiwami 1 & 2 even if it's just so that you can understand the later games. I can't wait for Yakuza 7... 🤤
  11. Stick drift can sometimes be fixed by squirting some silicone lubricant into the analog stick assembly. I've fixed drift on some Dualshock 4 pads this way.
  12. Since we're talking about Duke3D, has anyone played Ion Fury? It's pretty good:
  13. Whatsapp desktop version syncs through your phone also. I don't really mind though - as long as I can copy/paste and use my keyboard while using the app I don't really care where it's being run from. Makes sense that WeChat doesn't want to have native apps that run on other devices since it's deeply tied to your phone number and is also used for payment and stuff. No. Wechat has a really large sticker selection of its own so it's not so bad. Whatsapp stickers are super ghetto though -- you gotta install them as separate apps from the app store...can't be added or managed from within Whatsapp itself. I use Wechat, Whatsapp, and Line all the time. They're all virtually the same except Wechat can do a lot more things than the other two.
  14. Does the pad work on its own as an xinput controller? I like the pad but don't really care about the service.
  15. Damn...should I give up running forums too? 🤔
  16. This is how it begins. First you start with Yakuza 0 and before you know it you've played them all and own Yakuza-themed shot glasses.
  17. I don't have a set schedule. If I think something is important I back it up in 2 or 3 places and then just update my backups when I feel like there's been an significant change that warrants creating a new backup. For really small stuff I'll just throw it onto my Google Drive and not worry about it.
  18. One day when I have time I'll take a look at some of the old Transformers I have at my parents' house. You guys can help me identify what I've got. I remember I've got a metal Optimus Prime with the trailer + a few others.
  19. I don't even care how good it is as long as it's somewhat in the same ballpark in terms of performance and I can actually get my hands on one.
  20. EULAs and TOS have always been the main tools for software developers and sellers of IP (like music) to ensure that buying their product from a store does NOT give you ownership over it. This has actually always been the case, which is what I was arguing in my posts above. The only difference now is people are starting to pay attention because things like streaming are becoming a thing. This method has sometimes been defeated in court but other times has been upheld. It's a real clusterfuck. 🙃 Some interesting stuff here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First-sale_doctrine#Ownership_requirement In Vernor v. Autodesk, Inc. the 9th Circuit created a three-factor test to decide whether a particular software licensing agreement is successful in creating a licensing relationship with the end user. The factors include: 1) whether a copyright owner specifies that a user is granted a license; 2) whether the copyright owner significantly restricts the user's ability to transfer the software to others; and 3) whether the copyright owner imposes notable use restrictions on the software. In Vernor, Autodesk's license agreement specified that it retains title to the software and the user is only granted a non-exclusive license. The agreement also had restrictions against modifying, translating, or reverse-engineering the software, or removing any proprietary marks from the software packaging or documentation. The agreement also specified that software could not be transferred or leased without Autodesk's written consent, and could not be transferred outside the Western Hemisphere. Based on these facts, the 9th Circuit held that the user is only a licensee of Autodesk's software, not an owner and hence the user could not resell the software on eBay without Autodesk's permission. However, the same 9th Circuit panel that decided Vernor v. Autodesk, refused to apply Vernor's three-factor test in UMG v. Augusto to a purported licensing agreement created when UMG sent unsolicited promotional CDs to music critics. The promotional CDs' packaging contained the language: "This CD is the property of the record company and is licensed to the intended recipient for personal use only. Acceptance of this CD shall constitute an agreement to comply with the terms of the license. Resale or transfer of possession is not allowed and may be punishable under federal and state laws." Augusto tried to sell these CDs on eBay and UMG argued that first sale doctrine did not apply since the CDs were not sold and only a licensing relationship was created. However the court held that first sale doctrine applies when a copy is given away and that recipients of the promotional CDs did not accept the terms of the license agreement by merely not sending back the unsolicited CDs. In the case UsedSoft v Oracle, the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled that the sale of a software product, either through a physical support or download, constituted a transfer of ownership in EU law, thus the first sale doctrine applies; the ruling thereby breaks the "licensed, not sold" legal theory, but leaves open numerous questions.
