Baldur's Gate 3 just got a shit ton of votes from me. Hardest choice for me was the VA category. Ben Starr did a great job as Clive in FFXVI but Neil Newbon as Astarion. I literally started carting Astarion around just to hear the shit he says. Even though from a combat standpoint there are several characters I'd rather have with me instead.

This is so bad.

I'm extremely happy with all the changes. They nerfed the shit out Sandbagging, I couldn't be happier, they added DK Mountain, Pauline and Funky Kong and Peachettes tricks are so much fun to watch, I'm over the moon. 
 
The only thing I wanted that I didn't get was a track randomizer for Grand Prix Mode Multi-Player or Vs Mode. 

I miss Rogue Squadron.

Which Nighmare Mode do you think is harder "Nintendo Switch Living Room i built myself" or "I'm a bald miserable fuck who can only grow hair on his chin"?

Just beat Final Fantasy 16. Over all I liked it quite a bit, but they made some decisions that I found pretty strange, and the game perhaps peaks a bit early and has a hard time recovering. 
 
Also maybe they took a bit too much inspiration from Game of Theones cuz this games kinda depressing for a Final Fantasy game...
 
I have other thoughts but gonna ruminate on them some more before I write them down. 

Not too long before I return back to work (I've been off since August 10 due to paternity leave) I finished Spider-Man 2. 
 
I thought it was "good" but certainly wasn't a surprise that the first game was. While the story was solid, my main issues were with the mechanics. I got bored with the combat pretty quickly Peter and Miles pretty much played the same. I also had several crashes and glitches in my playthrough. 
 
The one story element that I wished happened was :
 
 

Oh I'm not sure when the BG3 addiction will go away... I keep thinking of new character ideas to make.  Spiderman 2 has helped me take a break from BG3 for a little while at least.

I didn't like Annette giving Ricther shit considering not keeping her trauma under control is what got the opera guy killed.  

I finished Spider-Man 2. Fantastic game. People who passed over fugly MJ are missing out. 

Five Nights is another one I was wrong about in the beginning... a thing I figured was just a flash in the pan that the younger gamers would quickly forget about and move on....and years later I kept wondering why they continued to still be apparently obsessed with it.
 
Spidey 2--- I don't ever want to give up the power of this symbiote... it's SO damn good... I recorded a clip of the big fight when some hunters broke into the lab a little while ago; I haven't watched it back yet but there was definitely some highlight-reel caliber action in that.  The "Surge" powerup makes him a nearly unstoppable force....heh, the enemies with their silly shields...against this power, the shields mean nothing.
 
The amazing attention to detail here----tinkering with photo mode, I just noticed that you can actually see some leaves swept up into the air with me since I just swung through street level where several trees were lined up.  Currently I have Miles wearing the Black Panther tribute suit, while Peter still has the symbiote on.

I won't lie, I couldn't find that damn shield either and ultimately looked it up. It wasn't that easy to find on my own, but once I read where it was located I was shocked I couldn't find it.

I've been playing through Spider Man 2. Traveling through the city and hitting up all of the collectibles and hunter bases is as fun as ever. In fact, it's been so fun I've been playing for a good number of hours and only now started to get to some of the story beats in the trailers. I can easily see myself clearing the map just like I did for the other ones.

When you write them all down like that, I’m shocked at how good this year turned out. I think this is the best year of gaming for me in awhile.
