Sonic Mania Plus is far more fun that I anticipated.

I need to put some videos on here to show a retrospective on the Sonic series in general. Some of you will need some popcorn... booze (or a non-alcoholic beverage)… and some aspirin.

I wonder if the path of evolution is usually the same on other worlds... like there's some other planet in this or another galaxy that is similar to Earth... perhaps it's at the early stages and there's creatures similar to dinosaurs over there right now..?  I am always curious about how many worlds went the same route as this one, complete with similar animal kingdoms and civilizations.  I think this planet and its history is something that gets repeated at least a few times out there.  There's other bipedal dominant species out there like us that are also wondering--"hey, maybe there's some other world out there like what we have here..?"  The sad thing is when you realize how many other worlds out there will forever be unknown.
Even if mankind ever gets to the point of truly mastering interstellar travel (*it's really doubtful, imo)... imagine how many worlds are already lost to time...like say there's an "Earth 2" out there with similar civilizations and everything, but they all went extinct a few thousand years ago either due to global war, or natural disasters... like a sufficiently large meteor hitting the planet, a gamma ray burst, the death of their own star, etc. etc.  Eventually there's literally no trace of evidence that they ever existed.

Debbie Downer moment of the day--- the same is true for this world.  Eventually, there will be nothing left, and even if a future advance species cruises by this spot where Earth once was... they'd have no idea anyone or anything was here previously.

I agree with you for the most part. I disagree with you on Shades. I didn't care for Shades season one. He seemed out of place. I thought he was excellent in Season 2. The internal conflict he had while projecting his stoic and calm veneer. It really added depth to his character. The Nandi thing didn't bother me. Especially after Misty goes into how Shady she was in high school.

Side Note: Thomas Jones was Comanche. Glad to see him doing something post NFL.

Its been a while, but I just finished Luke Cage Season 2 .

    Pros:
Bushmaster - Acting/action/backstory. Mustafa Shakir nailed it. Excellent!
Mariah's descent into thug lyfe - Alfre Woodard did an awesome job.
Music - Luke has the best music of all the MCU Netflix shows.
Action - The fights were 20x better and visceral than Season 1
Danny in ep 10 was 10 x better than his own series. His and Lukes camaraderie felt a lot more natural.
This season was more consistently good compared to last one.
Lukes new status at the end seems an interesting way to take the character. While I dont want him outright being a villain, I like that its gets him more to the gray, than being a white knight all the time.

    Cons
A little stretched out. "I'm sorry but our Bushmaster is in another castle" lol

Episode 12's last 10  minutes should have been added to ep 13.  Many of the Netflix MCU shows have denouements mostly for the last episode which is the downward stroke. They need the rising part and the falling part.

Tilda at the end. Her motivation was to be clear of Stokes/Mariah's influence yet at the end of  the season shes upset at not getting the club, imo her motivation seems forced if theyre going to make her into a villain.

Nandi being  crooked felt shoehorned in.

I didnt care for Shades and his acting felt meh. I hope he is in a lesser role next season.

I wish Luke's dad had a role in the final episodes. I know is arc was completed a few eps but I would have liked to have seen his reaction to Lukes new status.

    Overall: 8.5/10

Hey am I the only one that kept seeing her as Faith Evans. It got really weird when Faith was one of the musical acts at Harlem's Paradise.

My ex used to call me "Pookie" . I thought it was cute because it was a reference to Garfields teddy bear.
I guess you miss out by not having black friends 😞

heh, looks like they drew her to have that general "mixed girl from the '80s" look....nice.... looks like she had a jheri curl though, so point deduction on that.

*youtube stuff again--- I'll just never agree with Angryman's constant defense of the "Pookie & Ray-Ray" types, man....at the very least, it seems like we have different ideas of that that description means.  Sometimes it's like he's using that describe the "average dudes" from the hood.... but I think of that as another term to indicate the riff raff... the worthless TRASH that gives all of us a bad name and constantly adheres to all the negative stereotypes that come to mind. (this is why I think a more accurate term is the "Deebo")  That stupidity should never be defended.  The trash is why there is no bright future for our "tribe", y'know?  New generations are being spawned by only those on the low end of the totem pole.
Young girls and women have the choice between the Urkels and the Deebos... we all know which ones they are really going for, and that is ultimately to the detriment of the tribe, assuming one even cares about such a thing.  Instead of more Urkels or "Obamas"(*wherever one is on the political spectrum, I think most reasonable people can at least agree he and his wife are intelligent people)--- we're repeatedly churning out more new generations of Deebos...and often times the new generations are actually dumber than the preceding ones.

In fairness, April O'Neil's design has been all over the place. Here is her original design. No, she wasn't black, but given that the comics were black and white, I could see how people think she was.

Someone mentioned a burger from an ATL restaurant called Vortex called "Fat Elvis"
It has bacon, sweet plaintains, and peanut butter with a standard beef patty/bun.
Would you eat it? (I know Million is going to vote "no" lol)
