Vanquish is an awesome fun game. I really wish we would have gotten a sequel that built on what they had here cuz what they had already kicked Gears of War in the nuts lol. Can only imagine what we would have gotten next. 
 
Sam was supposed to have a robo dog in this game that would attack enemies and act as a mobile waist high wall for him he could place anywhere. Feature got cut and some of those ideas got used on Blade Wolf from Metal Gear Rising. 

Yeah, the Horizon DLC was great, especially if you already like the world and lore, it adds quite a bit. New enemy types are good too.

That DLC was so fucking good. I'm tempted to run through the game and DLC again before Forbidden West comes out. 

I just started a new game in HZD in anticipation of Forbidden West. Having never played the DLC, I'm excited to get back into this series. I forgot how awesome it is, and especially so with the PS5 performance boost 

Pretty much just Strive and Dread this year. There wasn't anything I was super looking forward to this year, but next year there's a bunch of stuff

Isn't 8ing doing the game design? 

8ing is doing part of the programming, but the game design is between ASW y Neople
8ing is working as an assist studio, the manager and lead positions of the project are ASW staff.
 
Think of it like how Dice is the main studio behind Battlfield, but there are other studios doing part of the legwork behind the game, like Criterion for example.

I hope DNF is cool. The really sudden beta announcement that takes place at the same time as KOFs does not seem smart. Personally I have no interest in KOF but seems like it would be way smarter to set your beta one a different weekend from a more established franchise

Digging into Crimzon Clover again reminds me of what I love about it- all action, no bullshit, no boring parts, no pillow humper "moe" dogshit, perfect length for its genre. The only improvement I'd like to see would be a stage select mode that had fixed settings and kept score records (training lets you stage select, just without score records).

Yup, I'm playing on hard mode. Probably wasn't the best idea for a first playthough. There were times were I regretted the choice but I toughed it out. I also spend an unusually long time in the world of shadows fusing demons, charting a path of which demons I want in the future, drawing some from the compendium. One of my fusions failed and I ended up with a stronger demon that was ten levels above the MC. This mistake has made progression easy lol. 

85 hours? The fuck? Are you on Hard Mode? I got to that Dungeon in like...50 hours. I'm almost to the end of the area after that place and I've only clocked 66:05. I thought I was taking forever lol.

i played a bit of blazblue today and i realized that thanks to learning to play pot in strive i can do super imputs fast as shit! i suprised myself!

Cause all-rounders with lots of moves force me to play against different archtypes wildly differently. Like, pick a move to spam and pick a move to ignore levels of different. Win conditions change around a lot. I like that variety of play that I wouldn't get from fishing for Ram's corner nonsense for the zillionth time regardless of opponent.
 
I don't choose characters on looks, though I do avoid a few on looks. Past ten years I'm favoring all-rounders with a slight zoning emphasis.
 
I'm also a busy dad so I don't have much time to learn truly unique characters. 
 
A2A aerial gatlings into juggle air fireballs or aerial super are dope.

You don't need negative edge combos on pad. I play pad too, you can just tap. You also don't need hyper optimal combos in the first place with him
