I hear you on that. Sometimes priorities shift for a bit. What I find helps if you do want to stay consistent with something is just have confidence that you enjoyed the thing you maybe lost momentum on and just pick it up and start rolling again. If its something you really enjoy, you'll get back into the groove pretty quickly. The hard part is not letting the desire for novelty/excitement be the main driving factor all of the time. In my experience that leads to a lot of jumping around which can be frustrating, or weirdly lots of ennui when you end up with times where I don't feel like anything jumps out at me and I just sit there and watch YT for a couple of hours.
 
Like I'm making myself pick up the paintbrush again this weekend. Holidays and other projects stalled me out on that hard but I know I need to and want to get back to it. Once I get going it'll be more self motivating. 
 
We need to play Strive once it drops. Xrd was fun.

At least we'd know who Luffy will main in SF6 in that case. I wonder if he's trying to lobby behind the scenes for some last minute enhancements to Rose's SFV model.

I actually find Ibuki's recent characterization somewhat bothersome. 
Or, overexaggerated (and to be fair, at least 75% of the cast are guilty of this to varying degrees). 
 
Ibuki in III was shown to be relatively competent when given certain tasks while also still be aware of her own looks and retain just a degree of childishness. She also still yearned to live a ordinary life when her training was complete. 
I was happy when she was brought back in SFIV, despite the odd characterization (though, she is apparently "young and stupid" by the timeline of IV). 
 
And, for a odd design choice, Ibuki's boobs took a nerf for some odd reason, despite Capcom outright stating (and showing) that her size was even bigger than Chun's (which *was* saying something).

Great points by everyone. To be honest, I was expecting a solid round of, "Shut up, noob! Don't you know that wallbreaks are a Ninja Storm mechanic? Get out of my game!" and, "It has rollback, duh. That's the only reason I'm buying it - to prove a point. My singular purchase will surely change the fighting game development circle' mentality. I'm that important!"
 
Glad to see actual discussion. @HecatomI actually agree with a lot of your points. Martian can easily tell you that I'm no GG player, but this looks wholly different from any GG. I, however, like it because of this. @BornWinnerit's good to see fighting game players still buying games based on feel and love for the characters and series. Like I said, this whole politicizing of FG development is dumb to me. I mean, my friend gifted me rollback Garou on Steam for the purpose of "sending a message" (Retard et al). Just buy what you want! @MattatsuI'm the opposite. I'm really hyped... But I'm not getting it for the same reasons as you. I simply can't put that much effort into a game I'm forcing onto myself. It's not healthy and I'm not interested. I don't remember if anyone else answered, sorry..!
