Happy New Year to my Megashock fam. I just got a rage quite and it made me realize that no matter than game Ryu players will always be crusty. 

Yeah I dusted off the arcade stick played a bit today. I had a good time. I've been playing Cammy for some reason as of late. SF6 is a good time. Nice to have a mainline SF game with good netcode. Wish the costumes weren't overpriced as hell but I digress....

Having a blast with this game,the drive system is exciting and fun, and the gameplay is super great! Amazing game overall, I'm still silver but having tons of fun even losing. 

We're in a pretty exclusive club, @Illwill88, let's give ourselves a well-deserved pat on the back.
 
Blanka is a scrub killer so I didn't expect there to be many Blankas in Master Rank, but I didn't think he'd be third from the bottom either.

I was thinking the same thing. If they were, for example, to nerf parry even slightly, JP would be triple S tier.

Kotaku writers are generally a blight on society. The only one worth a damn was Jason Schreier. He's bit of a hypersensitive prick but he's actually a good investigative journalist. The rest of them are a waste of oxygen.
 
Edit: While not like for like, the Mike Z situation sort of reminds me of the Andy Signore situation (guy that created Honest Trailers). He's a geek that's awkward with women. One woman came at him with a false allegation. Then all his awkward interactions with women in general came up and people looked at them through different lens which made the initial false allegation seem more credible than it actually was. Like Mike Z he ended up losing something he created, but he had receipts. So they ended up having to settle with him. Although I'm not his biggest fan, I felt/feel bad for him. Like the Trevor Bauer situation, his so called friends turned their backs on him, and as far as I know never apologized when the truth came out.

The reviews in the SamSho discord have been pretty good so far. One guy was connecting from Europe to SA and said it was pretty smooth, which can be two of the more problematic places to connect to from my experience.

I don't get to see my family until next week. I'm loner. So being by myself is fine with me. Gives me peace. Outside of work, I see people on my own terms. I only have to deal with people at work.

If Virtua Fighter 6 is announced tonight....

I fell asleep in Idom's SF6 stream last night.
 
Some guys yelling real loud in Japanese woke me up early in the AM. 
 
I found myself in a MidnightSumo stream looking at sumo wrestlers fight it out.
 
I'm not sure if this is a sign telling me I need to embrace the Dosukoi life or not.
 
But assuming it is, I still wouldn't do that shyt. 

Exactly how I feel. I know there's like a 0.00001% chance of me ever playing on one, but knowing it exists makes me happy.
 
I felt the exact same way when I saw SFV get an Arcade release.

I'm so sick of the word "toxic". These days "toxic" just means someone won't kiss your ass. Of course we are in a society where people say stupid shit like "Your speech is violence" so I guess it's to be expected.

Man, I really dislike how this MR system has a lot of people acting.
 
I could understand if those at the top would be given a trip to Capcom Cup, some $$, or a Blanka-chan doll for their troubles. All you get is a title and a reminder that you finished the Phase as a "Legend".
 
But to constantly blacklist those who beat you...or come close to beating you, 1 and done anyone (even if they have high MR) who might prove to be a challenge, and spend most of your time calculating MR gain or loss, is some real Grade A next level fukk shyt. Truly.
 
I'd be lying if I said I never get tight playing ranked. My salt be overflowing, but it's never to the point where I'm doing any of this shyt for a trivial ranking. I just play the game. I'd rather lose the set than run off and keep blacklisting everyone.
 
"Legend" rank in Nov is nothing. Phase 2 literally just started on the 1st. The top 500 will likely look vastly different by Feb. Watching people play like they're scared to lose points already is a sad sight to see. If I'm doing all of that to maintain some silly online ranking, then it's time to find a different hobby.

Most of the people I know that play fighting games on the Xbox are doing it because of the wide variety of controller options it has.
