Oh. Sorry about that. Let me put this in a way you can understand...
My 7yo budget PC can run this at max.
A console can run it at 60fps. That's how light it is. 🤣

Xrd-Style is some crazy optimized stuff, you'd think that all these games would require crazy specs to run, but if you pull up the minimum requirements for DBFZ, they ain't really that heavy.

I think its the fancy details in effects that's pushing it rather than the character models themselves. Like how in the Giovanna trailer, when she does her upkick and it knocks the effect of Chipp's alpha blade off into a curve because she touched it. I'm no expert but it could be that the effects from attacks have special interactions the game needs to keep track of and thats a level of visual flair that not even dbfz/xrd/granblue have done.
But that's just my guess lol

Makes sense since all they're really doing is applying clever lighting and shading tricks on blank 3D models to create the appearance of hand drawn sprites. It's very cheap on memory/computing resources.
All those games seem hella optimized in my expirience.

I dunno, possibly, but from what I can tell Xrd, DBFZ and Granblue aren't very GPU/CPU intensive. I feel like the PS4 could probably handle it, considersing it (kinda) handles 6 players all at once in DBFZ. That game has a ton of models on screen at the same time constantly .

Also posted in the GG thread
That sequence of Sol tagging in Ky with the release date trailer? It is part of some mode. However it is PS5 exclusive.
No mention of Steam since this was taken from PSN but it is for sure not available for PS4.

Seeing as I was invited here I feel compelled to contribute.
one of my favorite FG plots is BlazBlue CT (and only CT).
it has a scenario where every character can have an honest motivation and the time loop premise means that “everything” can be cannon and the narrative doesn’t need to force fights at as unreasonable a pace.
it is very wordy though.

Tbh, GG being a complete movie with no interaction was terrible for someone who doesn’t know anything about GG. I watched that for 5 minutes before having the best nap on my couch I’ve ever had

Giovanna’s a true Brazilian because she turns green, just like Brazilian hero, Blanka.

When people say MK story modes are "good", I don't really think they're saying it's shakspearean level writing. It's just entertaining as fuck.
Dont tell me Johnny Cage slapping the shit out of his younger self isn't great. That sentence alone should let you know what level of writing you're dealing with.

What's weird is how I skipped most of the Story Modes this gen. If anyone knows how I am, you'll know I've always been someone that cared about the story in fighting games. The only stories I actually completed this time around was SFV, MVCI, and MKX. Completed most of Power Ranger's story, but still have some left since the various updates. Completed like 8% of DBFZ's (which is shocking since I love DBZ), like 10% of Tekken's, watched some GG story, never started Cross Tag Battle, Injustice 2, and any other game with a Story Mode.
I like to tell myself I'll sit down one day and complete them just for the hell of it, but I never do it. I'm not against Story Mode at all, but I'm at the point where I'm perfectly fine with a nice in-depth Arcade Mode.
When it comes to SFV's story, I really wasn't a fan of how they handled the interaction (or lack thereof) between Guile and Nash. I feel like they really screwed the pooch there.

Seriously, Project Justice or Rival Schools or whatever is straight up awesome.
I wish it were on steam or something, it reminds me of this dumb but fun Naruto fighter I played on the gamecube back in the day, mixed with some MvC air combos. Screw SFVI, they should just bring back Rival Schools.
Natsu is so tall she's a tall girl 😳

I still can't believe Necalli ended up being as dry as is, gameplay wise and story wise. Ancient warrior Pillar man who can eat hadou? Awesome. Then the story comes along and the craziest thing he did was look like a sheep and then jobbed to Ryu who wasn't even the main character in the story mode. And his gameplay is kinda dry. You'd think a dude with a dunk command grab, Berserker Barrage and SS3 transformation would be super cool but not really. He's solid, sure, but in safest of ways.
He's also the first character I've seen, in my personal history of fighting games, where people drop him because he's too boring. That still just baffles me. I've never seen people drop a perfectly solid character like Necalli because he's too vanilla lol. Ahh well.

Speaking of Guilty Gear’s story, the official website put up comics explaining the lore up until Xrd. So if you’re confused about the main story, maybe that can help.

They skip all of XX however. Though that game’s story can be summarized as I-no’s a bitch.

L M A O.
They can't be serious. G is a literal "Who?" in V's story. I thought they were setting him up for 6 as either a major player or boss.
Nope.
They leaving a ton of plot threads hanging for SF6.
That will obviously go very bad because whoever was responsible for SFV's Story Mode is nothing but a HACK and if they come back for 6, it'll get bungled beyond belief.
Cammy.
At least Necalli has the dunk and SSJ3. Cammy is pretty much a chunk of cardboard with a nice ass.
Ayyyy, what's up Bea?
We dropped SRK harder than I drop FGs and came here.
