Po was basically doing this in almost every thread he was in, constantly, spending little time trying to have a conversation about the finer points of anything. The sole reason he would go around doing that was to pretend to have a high moral ground on video games over others. Instead all he did was give himself a blood feud with a toy company.

I am paying for Thanksgiving entirely this year so I  can cook what I want. I'm doing boneless turkey breast wrapped in bacon because  I'm sick of a turkey carcass hanging around the house for a month.

In the original and the remake of SMRPG,  if you go back and visit Gaz (A little Toad kid in Rose Town and the owner of "Geno") after saving the town grom Bowyer, Gaz and Geno have a conversation about Gen having to leave to save everyone.  Gaz makes a comment about how Mario "needs all the help he can get" and you see Mario raise up his fist to deck the child but Mallow intervenes and holds him back from doing so.

There's a lot going on in this story.  Some of us might be listening to this and get to a point to be like "there's a lot of coincidental things going on in this story" and you'd probably be right and in the end he actually caught himself before they got money out of him but the fact that there's  assholes out here willing to do shit like this and then on top of the authorities being like "Well...you didn't give em any money so there's nothing we can do" is some shit.

Thanksgiving is my jam.  Not because of pilgrims or anything, I just love the meal plan.
 
Decided to bite the bullet and try the stupidly expensive heritage turkey.  Gotta at least try it once.  So:
 
Spatchcocked buttermilk-brined turkey Scratch made stuffing from homemade bread Sour cream mashed potatoes Blood orange cranberry sauce Whatever vegetable my wife feels like making Gravy from the pan drippings Gateau Basque w/ vanilla pastry cream and Morello cherry preserves 

only thing i really remember about po's rants was when he called One Piece manga "the greatest achievement in the history of literature" which really triggered me.

I may be finished Christmas shopping for my parents (I may add something to these gifts later)... that's always a relief because I truly hate shopping during the "Christmas shopping" time of year...of course it only gets worse as we get closer to Christmas, and even now around mid-November the increase in crowds at certain places already seems noticeable to me......it's always good to get that out of the way as fast as possible.  It's fortunate that there's only about 5 people I get things for.... I can only imagine the frustrations at this time of people with a much bigger amount of family and close friends where it's a normal expectation to get them something.
 
...Interesting how Christmas kinda stops being enjoyable beyond childhood, imo.  My opinion probably would be different if I had kids but this particular holiday time (Christmas) is  just an annoying drag and has been for quite some time to me.
 
*Thanksgiving is alright with me though, because I have absolutely no obligations around that one.... like this one coming up---I have no plans other than working out and gaming...and maybe get some turkey from Publix or Kroger, etc... very nice 4-day weekend plans there with things I actually want to do.... no obligated visits to certain people.
