The best aspect of the Castlevania shows, besides the gorgeous action scenes, to me has been how they changed things from the game lore in many aspects to add to characters. 
 
It could tone down on the edgy violence and subject matter, but there are those that tune in for that stuff. 

Love what the Zelda team usually does with the games... but they rarely seem able or even willing to craft stories with good direct connective tissue even when it seems like easy lay ups. 
 
I mean the botched Zelda timeline will go down as one of the worst explanations of games when they could have also just said outside of certain games which connect or continue they are all separate universes like Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest.

Given their current situations, I would have guessed a company like WB Game divisions or even some Embracer group's acquisitions would be a more attainable and suitable purchase to grow a new gaming brand without spending billions.

You should actually watch the show. 
 
Nocturne doesn't need Dracula. The last series gave him his happy ending. No need to undo it to have more Dracula. The Castlevania series has other villains that's been the big bad like Elizabeth Báthory (who is the big bad of Nocturne)
 
We get nothing about the Belmonts is a lie. We are literally introduced to a brand new Belmont on episode one (Julia). Later in the season 
 
Why is a show about vampires having gay characters an issue? Vampire have been used as a metaphor for sexual deviance for as long as they existed. There's more to the gay characters other than their sexuality. There's no non binary fyi. 
 
Ricther is the main character from start to finish. There's a point when the plot on hero side comes to a halt mid season when Richter decides to peace out. To say he's not a focus is not accurate.
 
Caribbean story is there to establish Annette's backstory. 
 
The show establishes that magic becomes unusable if the user is suffering from heavy trauma. Richter was able to use magic as a kid but hasn't been able to since his mom died. 
 
Olrox  has nuance beyond shipping. The reasons for why he doesn't anything isn't fully explored. 
 
About that line you paraphrased from Richter, he said something more in line in having complete faith in Maria and her mother because he loves them. They are his family and he joined the revolution because he has faith in Maria's reason to do so. It's wrong for a dude to have complete faith in someone?
 
I love Castlevania but in terms of story the games aren't got much there. What is there is basic and it only exists to provide context to the gameplay. Everything Netflix has done is in improvement in my eyes.

They will use projected assets and other unrealized gains to make the buy should they go through with it. They don't use money, who do yoy think they are Elon Musk?
 
I joke but that's how they do it, it's even how Musk did it, he leveraged Tesla Stock (unrealized gains) to purchase Twitter he didn't use money. 

Disney had their own game studio. Lucas Arts which they dissolved the year after buying Lucasfilm. Would have been a lot easier, and cheaper to build them up over the past decade than buying a massive studio with money you don't have. I'm not joking about their financials. They are obligated to buyout Comcast/Universal's stake in Hulu. Disney own's 2/3rd of Hulu and Comcast owns the rest. They are fighting over the amount but it's minimum 10 billion dollars  and IIRC Comcast wants double that. Deadline for that is January 2024 last I heard.

Castlevania Nocturne took a minute but once things were firing on all cylinders I was fully enjoying it!  I don't know fully the games that these are adapatations of but it looks like they're mixing 2 games together based on some of the stuff I'm reading up on.  Spoliers on some events that I want to talk about.

GameStop and Amazon are having huge sales right now. Tons of games are up to 75% off. Most of it isn’t shovel ware shit either. It’s stuff like Gotham Knights, Midnight Sons, Pokemon titles, Fire Emblem Titles, etc. 

That is crazy talk. Next time they just have to push it in people's faces more and throw more money and social media influencers at it. Surely that will help!

Great chapter. This arc is probably going to be one of my top favorites in the end, so much crazy good development being dropped.

I swear to God I tried so hard as a kid to like the SNES game, cuz like Chad said the water slides where dope. I didn't like the Amusment Park level as much as Chad did but I did like the Western Train themed stage a lot. 
 
But i just couldn't. It's not good. The physics are fucking insane, Bubsy moves fast as fuck dies in 1 hit unlike Sonic with Rings, he's also really slippy and slidey, theres tons and tons of death pits everywhere. 
 
I tried man...but I just couldn't lol. 
 
Edit: Overwatch sold itself on character personalities and world and then did absolutly nothing with any of it. Like Blizzard spent all this energy building a world and characters for people to care about then just like....didn't do anything with any of it. Just made some maps and game types and thought everyone would be satisfied with that.
