What's sad to me about the conversation is it was started by an Indi dev asking people not to expect this output from Indi developers as a norm because Larian isn't a typical Indi Dev and everyone lost their shit acted like Activision and EA started the convo. 
 
It was a good convo to have and got mired by people freaking out like they always do.

Ohhhh yeah that "Portal" contraption looks like the latest hilarious disaster to be the laughing stock of the industry...like this is Stadia-level foolishness right there.  $200 for that, bruh? The story has basically been for all the X books, creating interesting settings and scenarios for the various books and creators involved. It is probably the most consistent line of superhero books in the last several years.

Apparently this new Level 1 into Level 3 mechanic is something that only applies to limit break/last character.  So yeah this means the better chances for comeback if you have the bar and also matches will be ending quicker with characters getting deleted if a character can utilitize 5-7 bars.

last character is NUTS.  No set up needed, if Ginyu has 4 bars and he touches you then you may have well resign yourself to having a gimped character

Looks like there is a universal change that allows people to to do level 3's after level 1s and some can super dash after level 1s?   I saw Gohan do super dash after his level 1 in this video and thought I was tripping.
This is a pretty crazy change to this game but it also speeds it up and and makes the game almost a 1 touch game in some cases.  The match starting out will still be fairly 2 touch without popping sparking but when things start getting to mid match to end match and more  meter is on the table, characters will have more access to dump meter in combos and kill.

MK 1 previews are out.  Invasions mode is like a more interactible krypt and there's some clips of how MK1's story is starting out.  Looks like Kronika or a Kronika like is stirring the pot in Lui's new timeline.  Lin Kuei are having a bar fight with Kung Lao and getting washed.  And out of that bar fight comes this meme npc.
